Prologue••••
I love him.
I realize this now, and I suppose I'm not afraid to admit it.
I love him more than anyone could ever know, more than all of time and space. I love him more than springtime in New x15 New York, and more than flying high over London among a sea of stars.
He's shown me so much, and he's shared with me things that he holds close to his hearts.
He's shown me parts of my past and pasts before me, which I can't even begin to explain.
He's shown me futures that I wouldn't have been able to even imagine before meeting him.
But he's never shown me my own future. Never shown me his own future.
He says he can't... Rules and all, but he's broken rules for me before. So far there hasn't been a rule he wouldn't break to ensure my safety. But this is one rule he abides to.
I don't know why, but I'm starting to think there's a real reason why. I'm starting to think he already knows what my future has in store for me. I'm starting to think he's shielding me from what's going to happen.
I hate him for it sometimes, but then he'll go and do something so undeniably wonderful for me. He'll take me to a far off world made entirely of diamonds, or introduce me to a long dead composer or author. And he smiles all the while.
And I realize all over again, I love him.
I love him. I do. And nothing is ever going to change that.
He's my best friend, my companion, my caretaker, my Doctor.
And I, I am his Rose.
