Ned: Did it hurt?
Peter: Um duh.
You, Peter and Ned all sat in his room talking about Tom's encounter with a recent thief. You and Ned were still the only people who knew of Peter's secret. You and Peter had been dating for 5 months.
Peter looked at you to reassure you that he was ok although his throbbing black eye did still hurt. Of course it did. He had special powers but he was still a human.
You sat on Peter's bed playing with the seam on a shirt of his as him and Ned sat on the floor putting together Neds Lego Death Star.
Peter: I'm ok y/n
You hadn't said anything but he could feel your discomfort with his injuries.
You nodded and smiled. Becoming Spider-Man was one the best things that had happened to Peter. The first thing was you. But you had to support him and his being Spider-Man even though it scared you to death every night that he went out.
You nodded your head and smiled.
Peter: I've gotta use the bathroom.
He stood up and made his way out of his room and to the restroom.
Ned looked at you.
Ned: He knows how worried you are about him.
You looked up from your hands wrapped in the shirt.
You: I know.
You looked back down.
Ned: He's as careful as he can be.
You looked up again. This time meeting Ned's eyes.
You: Like I said, I know, but it still scares me. It doesn't scare you? I love him more than anything in the world. And he goes out and throws himself in front of speeding trains. I don't want to lose him. And I'm not just being selfish. This is not just about me. This is about him. Peter is young. Smartest kid in our school. He has a long life ahead of him. Even if his whole life doesn't involve me. He's still got so much more to do.
You sighed.
You: I just love him. That's all.
Ned: it does scare me. But it's awesome. That's my best friend out there kicking ass. And Peter is strong he can get through it. Just trust him a little more.
Ned was interrupted by Peter opening the door.
Peter: Trust who?
You: Just a kid at school.
Peter looked at Ned. And whispered.
Peter: *whispering* should I be worried about this kid at school.
Ned shook his head.
Ned: No
Ned was going to stay over at Peter's apartment and it was about time for you to head home.
You pulled out your phone checking the time. It was almost 11 pm.
You: I better get going.
Peter: No, Stay.
You: Peter, Ned is staying over I'm pretty sure he won't appreciate if I crash your party.
You looked at Ned. He didn't say anything.
You: Plus you know my Mom won't like that.
You lived alone with your mom. Your dad had left you when you were 3. (Sorry I just didn't want to incorporate a dad into the story)
Peter: You can sleep in my bed. Me and Ned were planing to sleep on the floor anyways. And Ned won't mind.
He looked at Ned who nodded approvingly.
You shrugged.
You: What about May and my mom.
Peter: I'll talk to May and she'll call your mom.
You: *sigh* alright.
You, Peter, and Ned stepped outside of Peters and walked to May who was sitting on the couch eating a salad and watching Say Yes to the Dress.
Peter cleared his throat to get her attention.
May: Whats up bub.
Peter's cheeks got red.
Peter: Not bub please.
May: Ok Peter.
She smiled because she loved to embarrass him in front of you and Ned.
Peter: I was wondering if y/n could stay over. It's late and she'll sleep in my bed while me and Ned are on the floor.
May took a bite of her salad and crinkled her eye brows.
May: I don't see why not.
Peter: Could you call her mom.
May: I'd love too.
Peter: Thanks May you're the best!
Peter bent down and hugged May. Than you went to his room.
You sat on the edge of the bottom bunk of peters bed.
You: Uh Peter...
Peter looked up at you from his position on the floor.
Peter: Yes babe?
You: I need pajamas.
You smiled because you didn't need pajamas. Today at school was lazy Friday on your calendar you had made with Peter, Ned, and MJ.
You were wearing a baggy shirt and sweatpants.
But you like to sleep in Peter's clothes. His smell always gave you comfort.
Pete placed a Lego that he had in his hand then he got up and walked to his closet grabbing a shirt. He threw you the shirt and made his way to his dresser where he grabbed you a pair of big pants.
You: Thank You Baby!
Peter: Anything for you.
He walked over and handed you the pants leaving a kiss on your head.
You turned and headed towards the bathroom.
It didn't take that long to change and you soon came walking out of the bathroom in Peter's oversized clothes.
You climbed into his bed and wrapped yourself in his blanket.
You: I'm kinda tired. Mind if I got to bed?
Peter: Of course not.
You: Ok good night Ned.
Ned looked up from his legos.
Ned: Good Night y/n.
You: Good Night Peter. I love you!
Peter: Good Night babe. I love you too!
You turned away from the boys and buried your head in a pillow.
You sat there for thirty minutes. You couldn't fall asleep. You heard the boys whispering but you couldn't tell what about. Then you heard something...
Peter: Do you think she's asleep?
Ned: She hasn't moved for thirty minutes. I would assume so.
Peter: Ok. I've got something to Uh... tell you.
Ned: Um... ok? What?
Peter: I think I'm gonna quit this whole Spider-Man act.
Your eyes jerked open but you didn't move.
Ned: WHAT?!?
Peter punched Ned.
Peter: Dude she's sleeping.
Ned: Right sorry. *whispering* what?!?
Peter: for y/n
You smiled but quickly frowned. For me. He wants to stop for me. But Peter loved this. He couldn't do this.
You listened more.
Ned: Why?
Peter: It kills me to see the sadness and anger in her eyes when I crawl into her window at night bruised. Her sadness for me. And her anger for the person who did it to me. And that hurts her. I'm in pain every night and I pass that onto her. That's not right. I'm terrible Ned don't you see it?
Ned: But dude this is like the best thing to happen to you...
Peter: No Ned
He looked over at you pretending to be asleep in the bed.
Peter: She's the best thing to happened to me.
And with that you couldn't wait any longer. You flipped your body and jumped out of the bed pinning Peter to the floor. You in top of him. You looked into his eyes and planted a giant kiss on his lips.
He sat up and brushed your hair out your face.
Peter: You heard that all?
You wrapped your arms around him.
You: I did. And don't stop being Spider-Man. This world needs you. Peter I love you. Just be careful. Hearing you say that proves to me how much you're willing to do to have me. And I'm willing to give up some stuff too. And if you're happy getting hurt so often so be it.
He kissed your head.
You: I love you Peter.
Peter: I love you too.
There was silence as you and Peter sat on the floor embraced in a hug.
Ned: Awwww I LOVE YOU BOTH!!
You both groaned as Ned wrapped his arms around you squeezing you tight.....
