Soaked to the bone
Shivering from the cold
Puddles forming
The downpour starts
Children playing
And hurried steps
Umbrellas open
Rain pelting down
Tear filled eyes
And melting down
The downpour alters
The laughing falters
Playful smiles
Clothes soaked piles
Warming fires
Broken wires
Children yawning
Parents longing
The downpour settles
Like tea in kettles
The skies now dark
The trees are crack
The downpours gone
But not for long.
