Carly's Interview With Toriel

"So, you guys did all of that fighting to make all of this happen?" Carly asked with excitement in her voice.

"Yeah." Alex nodded.

"But, Michael wasn't there at the time." Nona said. "So, he's excluded."

"Then, how did he join Delta?"

"I helped these guys fight a group of girls who wanted us dead." Michael said with a shrug. "Except for one of them. She helped us as well."

"And after those girls were defeated," Ruby said, then looked down at the floor with a sad look. "She left us. We would have made great friends."

The others looked at her with looks of pity.

"Don't worry, Ruby." Yang put a hand on her shoulder. "If we have the chance, we'll bump into her again. I can't promise that, but we will."

"What about the other girls?" Carly wanted to know.

"Oh, them?" Ren looked at her. "The red one is confined in the Delta Base's laboratory. But, we don't know what happened to the blue one."

"What do you mean?" She raised an eyebrow.

"Let's just say that some hand came out of nowhere and pulled her into a rift." Jonas said.

"Huh."

Suddenly, the group heard a slamming door beside them. Turning to their left, they saw a sixteen-year-old girl with indigo hair that had streaks of pink and purple tied in a ponytail. She wore square glasses on her face, a light blue buttoned-up shirt with a pink necktie, a purple skirt and black shoes under purple socks. It was Telekin Twilight Sparkle, and she looked as if she was recently mauled by a bear. Her hair and clothes were messy and her glasses were crooked. She was also leaning on the door while she was breathing rapidly.

When she noticed them, Twilight smiled and scratched the back of her head. "Oh, hey guys!" She said before a strong force hit the door from behind, pushing her off.

As a response, Ruby screamed in shock and hugged Yang tightly.

"What was that?" Clarissa raised an eyebrow before she approached the door.

"Uh, nothing!" Twilight backed away from the door.

Despite Twilight's answer, Clarissa opened the door. She gasped at the sight of a cluster of Strange Island's creatures roaming around the classroom making chaos. Some of the students were hiding under desks while others were trying to bring the animals back into their cages, only failing. Meanwhile, the others noticed what was happening in the room.

"Oh no!" Ruby yelled with her hands on her head. "What happened in Dr. Oobleck's companion class?!"

"One of the students opened all of the cages that held all of the animals!" Twilight said. "I don't know who it was!"

"Where's Oobleck?" Yang wanted to know.

"He went to the bathroom and left me in charge of the students!"

"Is there a way to calm them down?" Jonas asked.

"The Spirit Stone!" Twilight pointed into the classroom.

The group looked into the classroom and found a glowing, light blue crystal inside a glass box. Ruby, gaining courage all of the sudden, ran into the classroom before Yang could stop her. After getting into the class, the caped girl opened the box and snatched the crystal. Ruby looked at the class and held up the Spirit Stone before she took a deep breath, preparing to shout.

"I command you all to stop!" She yelled and the animals stopped and looked at her.

Ruby sighed in relief when the animals froze. But then, a yellow, monkey-like creature stretched it's tail to reach her eye level. Then, it poked one of her silver eyes and tipped her over. The animals went back to causing trouble around the classroom. Ruby sat up and placed a hand on her head before a black and red dog creature bit her cape and tugged at it.

"Stop!" Ruby yelled after noticing the dog. "Only my dog can do that!"

"Oh, this is bad!" Twilight put both her hands on her head. "Dr. Oobleck's going to kill me! I'm a bad TA!"

"And that is what I get for eating that 3-day-old bitten candy bar!" A voice said.

The group turned to find a man with green hair and round glasses. We wore a white lab coat over a brown shirt, black pants and shoes. The man was walking up to the classroom. Once he reached the doorway, his eyes widen behind his glasses when he saw what was happening. He turned to find Twilight standing with the group.

"Ms. Sparkle!" The man yelled before he pointed into the classroom. "What is the meaning of this?!"

"Dr. Oobleck," Twilight said. "Someone opened the cages that held all those animals! I don't know who!"

"Do not fret, friends! I will stop this!" The man known as Dr. Oobleck walked into the room.

He looked around the room before he found Ruby trying to tug back at her cape. He noticed the Spirit Stone in her hands and approached her. Once he took the crystal from her, the crystal glowed bright and he held it up.

"Stop!" He yelled and the animals stopped again, looking into the crystal's light this time. "Each and every one of you animals, go back to your cages now!"

Groaning, all of the animals started entering the cages that were sorted out by their forms. Meanwhile, Oobleck turned to one in the form of a black and blue cat, which was holding a green and blue backpack that hung from it's mouth.

"You!" He got the cat's attention. "Give that to me."

Rolling it's eyes, the cat placed the backpack by Oobleck's feet. Soon, all of the animals were in their cages, one of those animals locking their own cages. Oobleck picked up the backpack and looked at the students.

"Ms. Lightvale?"

Meanwhile, a girl with blue hair and green eyes in the same purple and white uniform walked out of the sea of students. She walked up to Oobleck, who had given the backpack to her. Then, he glared at the rest of the students.

"So, who opened those cages?" He asked, but no one answered. "I'm not mad. I just want to know."

"He did it." A boy with blond hair and green eyes pointed to another boy with black hair and brown eyes.

"What?!" The black-haired boy's eyes widen. "You dared me to do it!"

"You were tempted!" The blond boy glared at him.

"So what?!"

"That's enough!" Oobleck pointed to the door. "You two! Office! Now!"

The two boys sighed and started to make their way out of the room. But then, they stopped at the doorway and glared at each other.

"This is all your fault." The blond boy said.

"Keep walking, you two!" Dr. Oobleck crossed his arms, watching the two boys walk out of the room.

After Ruby got up from the floor and dusted herself, Twilight ran into the room with both her hands clasped together.

"Dr. Oobleck, I'm so sorry!" She said. "I didn't know what would happen! I should have been more aware. I-"

"You are not at fault because of this, Ms. Sparkle." Oobleck said. "Now, where were we?"

Suddenly, the sound of a bell rang above them.

"On second thought, that's lunch! Class dismissed!"

The group watched as all of the students packed up their belongings and walked out of the classroom with their companions in cages. But the student with blue hair stopped at the doorway and looked up at the group.

"So, how are you guys doing?" She asked.

"We're doing okay, kiddo." Alex said with a grin. "We were just taking our friend to Toriel. She wanted to interview her."

"How are the other two?" Jonas asked.

"Those two are okay being TA's in this school." The girl shrugged. "Copper in War History, Agate in that melee class, those two will be fine."

"That's good." Ren smiled and patted the girl's head before her bag started moving.

"I have to go. My companion's hungry."

After the group watched her run off, Ruby walked out of the room and rejoined the others. They were all silent until Carly spoke.

"Ooh! Who was she?"

"That was just one of the students here." Ren looked at Carly. "Amber Lightvale."

He was basically lying because "Amber" was actually named Betty Noire. Originally, she was created by an alliance of anger and hate known as the Dark Ones. Her former name was Bete Noire, but after two scientists at Delta, Alphys and Ivor, found her concealed in a case that was left in the Dark Ones' base, they decided to take her. Her original purpose was to destroy, but her purpose of existence was changed from the moment her case was opened by Alphys and Ivor. After meeting the other heroes of Delta, Ren renamed her Betty. Then, during a battle with Cassie Rose, who was a member of the Dark Ones and is currently in jail, she adopted the name Betty Noire.

Soon, the group kept walking through the hallway until they all saw a group of executives being lead by a snow-white goat beast in a purple coat with a matching skirt that reached her knees. On the back of that coat was the Delta Rune symbol. It was Toriel Dreemurr and beside her was Qrow, who had his hands behind his head. Suddenly, Toriel found the group looking at her. Then, she whispered something into Qrow's ear and he nodded.

"This way, ladies and gentlemen." Qrow said, guiding the executives to another place in the school.

As Toriel approached them, she grinned and said, "Now, what are you humans doing here? Shouldn't you all be at the base?"

"Yeah," Alex nodded before making a gesture at Carly. "But a dear friend of ours came by to check us out. This is Carly. She's come to interview you."

"Hi." Carly smiled. "I only came here to ask you a few questions about all of this."

"Okay." Toriel nodded.

"So," She opened her notebook. "Let's start from the beginning. How did you and your husband come up with an idea of this school?"

"Well, one of our dearest friends from Delta suggested that we open up a school for a new generation of heroes. Asgore and I talked about it with her, and we decided to make that thought a reality." She chuckled. "Who would have thought that we would have so much students?"

The group laughed.

"Okay." Carly wrote down Toriel's words. "Next question. Do you enjoy working with children?"

"Why, yes I do." Toriel nodded. "Asgore and I have a few of our own. They are students here in this very school."

"I see. Were there any hardships with the process of opening this school?"

She sighed. "Indeed, there were. There was a lot of organizing and finding a location for the school. But then, we were offered help from the locals and one of them talked about an abandoned factory that was left empty for years. After we found that factory, Asgore and I discussed about the many types of classes while construction workers began to rebuild the building as the Delta Heroes Academy we all know today."

"Did you two at least break through from those hardships?" Carly raised an eyebrow as she wrote down what she heard from the goat monster.

"It was difficult to withstand, but yes." Toriel nodded. "We were able to organize the classes in this school. As we all know, this school has four floors. We're all currently in the Physical Combat Floor. The floor above that is the Battle Information Floor. Above that one is the Weaponry Floor and above that is the Headmaster's Floor."

"Uh huh." Carly kept writing until she was finished. Looking up at Toriel, she said, "Thank you so much, Mrs. Dreemurr. Now, I would love to explore more of the school for the Newspaper Club at Camena High."

Toriel laughed. "Okay."

Suddenly, a set of doors opened to reveal a girl with light blue hair fastened with a blue ribbon. With her hands around her mouth, she yelled, "FOOD FIGHT!"

All of the other students cheered and started making their way through the doors where the girl was. Toriel's eyes were wide from this and so were Carly's.

"No way." Carly said. "There are food fights here? Where everyone throws food at each other?"

"Yeah." Yang nodded. "But, the food fights Strange Ones have are more than just throwing food."

"Huh? Then, what are they?"

"They're all fights for supremacy here." Ruby said with a sheepish grin.

"Oh, I have got to see this!" Carly's smile came back before she gave her notebook and pen to Jonas. Then, she ran.

"Carly, wait!" Nona yelled before she and the other humans ran after their friend.
