Currently we were outside of the walls, in a forest. Where there is a forest there are trees. And if you're in the forest we are in right now, believe it or not, there are a lot of trees. Crazy right?
I was bounding from tree to tree but I had to keep on changing the location of where my hooks land, causing my fuel to drain a lot quicker than it would if we were within the walls.
Suddenly there was a click. Then another. Then another, until I realized that I was I was now just swinging and unable to move from my position. My fuel had just run out.
Ah. Crap this is bad.
CRACK
Omg. Please not now.
The footsteps of an oncoming titan made its way close to me.
Fearing for my life, and also my current option if I want to live for another 4 seconds, I cut the wires to my equipment.
I plummeted to the ground until the last moment and rolled onto the grass into a dead sprint.
I heard the titan's footsteps pause.
Foolish me, looking back, my chest tightens as the titan was staring down at me.
It was like how a missile would lock onto a target. I being the target.
I face back around to where I was going and tripped. I was Fumbling for foot hold to get up again but I was quickly smacked by the hand into a nearby tree from my left.
My right shoulder colliding with the tree with a thump and some cracks from my shoulder.
Trying not to gain attention from other titans, I clentch my jaw and eyes shut in pain, hoping it would go away.
Then, the titan's hand swooped down and grabbed my fragile body roughly.
It then slowly started to squeeze tighter and tighter as it brought it closer to its mouth.
With all my might, I raise my left shoulder up to stop the jaw from closing. The hand was still squeezing me, and without thinking, I let out a scream that reached the ends of the forest.
I'm gonna die.
This is it.
-(Levi's POV)-
As I slashed the nape of another titan, my wrist twisted a bit more that I would've liked.
"Tch."
I suddenly hear a stomach churning scream.
Immediately, I recognized who's scream it was.
Y/n
I called my horse to save my gas and made my way the the source of the scream.
My jaw tightened at the sight. Y/n was struggling in the grasp of the titan's hand and was holding open the jaw with her non-injured arm.
Suddenly the titan's lower jaw shot up to the upper jaw, causing the young scouter to release another scream of pain at the top of her lungs.
Her shoulder now dripping with blood as the titan took no effort in chewing her arm. Her body went limp and her eyes rolled to the back of her head.
I couldn't move. I was paralyzed with anger and dispare.
No. No. No. No. No. No. No!!!!
My eyes narrowed and I shot off the back of my horse using my gear. I quickly shot around the nape of the titan's neck and sliced a huge chunk of it off. Following that, I continued to cut and shred the titan's body using my two bloodied swords, not caring in the slightest that they got filthy.
Suddenly, a memory replayed in my mind. The only family I had back then. He was killed before my eyes. Her head was there when I fell.
I will never let that happen again.
My hair was now drenched in blood and so were my clothing.
Y/n
I quickly ran towards Y/n, that now only has one arm.
You ask why I'm enraged when it comes to Y/n? I have a secret. I'm in love with her. I told myself that no matter what, I would never fall in love. It's too painful to loose them or have to walk away to save them. This time, it can't be helped.
I carry her bridal style back to my horse which can back after me jumping off of its back. Carefully, I put her on he back of my horse as I take the lead and guide it back into the walls, sending out a retreat flare into the sky.
Slowly but surely, each squad emerged from the forest, each with at least 3 casualties. I then slowly climbed onto the back on my horse with unconscious Y/n laying against my back and my arms wrapped around her front.
You have no permission to die.
Once we made it back through the walls, I immediately put my horse at full gallop towards the infirmary.
-(Time Skip: 4 Days)-
I slowly open the door to the room that Y/n being taken care of in. I sigh in disappointment and sadness that my h/c haired beauty has not awoken yet. I set down the food next to Y/n and sit on the chair facing her.
"Ma'am, are you doing well?"
I send the soldier a glare and they cower away.
Suddenly, I hear a gasp. Then another with frantic movement. I look up to see Y/n awake and panicking.
"Oi! Y/n! Stay still!" I put my hand on her chest to keep her from sitting up, and her...other...arm from hitting me.
Still her body jolted from side to side and her eyes searched frantically. "Oi! Brat! Stay still!" I start to feel a stinging sensation behind my eyes. Tears. I kept them in and didn't let them flow.
Then her eyes met mine and she started to calm down and stop thrashing.
"C-Corperal." She said in disbelief. She tried getting up but found herself weak. Next she tried to solute. Realizing that she couldn't feel her first on her chest, she slowly looked down to her shoulder, which was only a nub and bandaged heavily.
She drew a shaky breath, then gulped.
"I guess will have to adjust." She let out a breath.
"Stay still so I can bandage you."
"Yes ma'am."
I took the bandage roll and lifted her shirt. "When the titan squeezed you, it broke 7 of your ribs." I inform her as she looks down at her chest and stomach. No matter how many times I change her bandages, I still blush, well, now she's awake to see it.
-(Your POV)-
Corporal Levi gently lifts my back to fit the bandage under it. Let me tell you, it hurt like someone biting into my chest. Wanting to impress her, I bit down on my jaw and refused to make a sound of pain.
I take a good look at her. Her eyelashes are so long and her bangs were parted to the side. Then there was something else I noticed. Her hands.
They were shaking.
Shaking so much that she couldn't tuck in the end of the bandage into itself.
Deciding to light up the mood, I try to make her laugh.
"Do you think that if Hanji finds my arm anywhere, she run it with tests just to get some titan saliva off of it?" I chuckle at the end, signifying that I was joking.
She raises her head and stares at me for a bit.
Then, her lip quivers and a tear slips out of her eye. Then another. Then another. Until she was balling her eyes out and wailing into my neck.
"Hey, Hey... shhhh. It's going to be okay." I comfort her to the best of my ability. I didn't really know what to do because this is the first time I've seen Levi cry. She was crying and shaking so intensity that tears started to spill from my eyes.
"H-how can you say that when your laying in a bed, unable to move!? You have no arm, your only one is broken, and 7 broken ribs! How is it going to be okay!?" She then continues to burry her head into my neck, continuing to cry. Her hands were balled up into fists now.
"Cor-"
"Stop. Just stop."
"Y-Yes ma'am..." I shut up and stare at her, taking in all her features, although I could only see and ear. When you love someone, you will always stare in amazement, even if it only is their ear.
She looks up so she could see my eyes gazing upon her face with intent concentration. She then blushed from the base of her neck to the tip of her ears. She then looks down once again.
"I-I said stop, brat."
"Ma'am, I am not doing anything." My breath hitched when she breathed onto my neck.
"Stop making me want to kiss you..." she muttered into my chest.
Immediately, my face flushed once again. "I'm sorry, I can't do that. But I can kiss you back when you give in to the temptation." I wiggle my eye brows as some of my confidence came back. But this is not like Corporal at all.
Her eyes widen when she swiftly flicked her head up to look at me with disbelief.
"Really?"
"Yeah." I smiled at her.
"Well, fine I'll do it. Not that I really care." she looked away with a blush prominent on her cheeks.
"awe...Corporal is a tsunedere." I smile even wider.
"Shut up."
"Make me."
Without hesitation, she closes her eyes and let our lips meet.
It was like the world didn't have to worry about the titans. It was amazing and calming. If only it would last forever. We had to pull away for air but Levi reconnected our lips once again.
"Can I call you Levi?" I asked her as we pulled away. "Well, will you be my girlfriend?"
Levi stared at me for the longest time.
Did I say something wrong?
"Yes"
"Huh?"
"Yes I will be your girlfriend!!"
I breathe a sigh of relief.
"I love you..." she said as she gazed into my eyes.
A blush was now prominent on my face once again.
"OMG you're so cute...I love you" she spoke again.
I then turn my head the other way.
"I l-love you too..."
