"Olivia wait," Her hand was on the doorknob.
"Yes, Elyse?" Her cold expression sent chills through my spine. "Did you ever love me?" Her hand slid off the doorknob and she turned around to face me, but replied looking back at the door.
"I don't know... maybe I did, maybe I didn't".
I held back tears that have been brewing for so long. "You think I'm supposed to be okay with that answer?" She looked as if she was going to laugh.
"I never said you had to be okay with it, I just don't know if I ever loved you". By now, tears were falling from my eyes and my legs were shaking.
I walked up to her and slapped her, my hand stung but my heart shattered. "Get out... get out and never come back!" I yelled she shrugged and turned around to make her final point . " Elyse, this is why I don't fall in love , you never know if the person will return their feelings".
And with that she left...
