Chapter 10(part3):Ryker's Explanation

** Ryker's POV (still)**
"Because.... because dad and mom beat her," Ryker murmurs. "What!" Selene says (writes),"why would they hit such a tiny adorable child! Their own child!!!"" It's not just her, why do you think I've got the reputation I do?? Because I want to be bad? Well... I don't I let people believe that in bad because if they knew I spent every night taking care of Emmy they would never leave me alone!!!!" By this time Ryker's face is read and you can clearly tell he feels like crying. Selene, who notices this, gets up and goes to him, wrapping her arms around her waist and resting her head on his chest in hopes of him understanding that he had other people to rely on now. Ryker stunned stands frozen for a minute
unsure of why such and angel would ever hug someone as messed up as he was, realized Selene wouldn't let go until she felt like he was going to be okay he slowly wrapped his arms around her waist and rested his head on top of hers. For once hecouldn't help but think" maybe.. maybe I can rest for once." Zeke, slowly left the room to let them talk.
Ryker cleared his throat and let go," Thank you. Really I need to have custody, once I have custody she'll be safe."" I know and until you find a place y'all can stay here," Selene writes,"I'll take care of her when I can and if you ever need me I can take off work."Ryker gives her a genuine smile," you're an angel you know that?" Selene to embarrassed to reply just tilted her hair down , letting her fall in front of her face, trying to hide her blush. Ryker, being Ryker, just chuckled. "Ryker..... Ryker,"Emmy yells excitedly,"come here!!!""Coming," yells Ryker as he strides away from Selene. Selene finally alone can't help but turn into a bubbly mess, thinking about how warm his smile made her feel and how great it felt to be hugged by him.
