Tears.

Why were you crying? He was just an animatronic, granted an animatronic with emotions, feelings, and an actual human beings soul trapped inside of him but, an animatronic nonetheless.

But that didn't stop the aching in your heart as you prolonged the inevitable, taking the long way around the tables of the diner, purposely stopping to read the menus one last time. Did you care about the discount cheeseburger or the fact that they did a vegetarian version? Not in the slightest, but every time you looked up at Pirate Cove your feet seemed to stop, and your heart could be heard in your ears.

All's fair in love and war, so they say. Unfortunately, you were never prepared for the war, let alone fairly fighting it. In such a short amount of time, you cared so deeply for this Fox that had been your everything when you were younger. Now he was your everything in a whole new way, and this everything was a hell of a lot more painful.

Eventually, your feet found themselves at the small step that let up to Pirate Cove. That one little step always seemed such a pain every time you wanted to go into the cove, always tripping on it, or stubbing your toe which resulted in a profuse amount of swearing. Now it seemed so important, that one little step.

You sigh, nibbling your lip as you stare at the purple curtains, moving your foot back and forward on the edge of the step. Fate clearly wanted you to suffer because Foxy poked his head out, his eyes widening in surprise as he came face to face with yourself.

"Y/n...?" He murmured, his golden eyes gleaming "You came back"

Without warning he leaps out of the Cove, knocking you onto the ground as he tackles you in a hug

"I knew you wouldn't leave, lass" He whispers, nuzzling into your neck and sighing contently. You felt a sinking feeling in your stomach.

"Fox" You swallow, gently pushing him off and standing. He follows suit, furrowing his eyebrows in confusion "I have to leave" You knew those words would be hard, but you had no idea how much it would hurt when Foxys ears flattened, his shoulders fell and his head hung. You took a step towards him only to be stopped by a hand on your shoulder, pulling you out of the room.

It was a gentle pull, which is why you only let out a soft whimper of complaint, assuming it was one of the other animatronics. You were right.

Bonnie stood with a sheepish expression "Sorry"

You nod, parting your lips to speak but you only feel a lump in your throat, not allowing you to speak

"I- uh" Bonnie starts to speak again, running a hand through his violet hair "Here" He reaches behind him and pulls out his guitar, shoving it into your arms before you have time to respond "I'm sure you heard they're shutting this place down...I want this to stay safe" His voice drops slightly, his eyes saddened "My sister gave it to me when I was young- Vincent clearly brought it here to hurt me, and it'll only get thrown away if it stays so-"

You reach your hand out and gently cover his mouth with a small chuckle "I'm pretty sure that's the most you've ever said to me" You see his shoulders slump, coming out of their tied up position

"Sorry" He breathes

"Of course I'll keep this safe" You smile softly, holding it close to you "But are you sure you don't want me to give it to her?"

"No" Bonnie looks down, shuffling his feet "I've seen her work, she's finally healing- finally letting go and I couldn't take that away from her. She's spent too long chasing this path, it'll only lead her to the same fate. Just- keep her safe for me too, will you y/n? She has a tendency to find trouble where ever she goes"

You nod, with a soft laugh "I'll do everything I can for her"

"Thank you," He says quietly "Now go and spend your last few hours with Foxy- he needs you more than ever, Y/n, don't leave him just yet"

With that Bonnie disappeared into backstage, leaving you alone. You slowly make your way back to Foxys cove, where he's sat on that damned little step "Hi" You say softly. His head snaps up and his golden eyes pierce through your own

"I was never meant for happiness, was I?" He asks "I wasn't meant to grow up, and have a family or kids. I don't know what I did wrong. I always ate my peas at dinner, always told the truth even if it got me in trouble. Always did the right damn thing and yet, I got killed. Why did life intend that for me, Y/n?"

He rendered you speechless for a moment. The truth was you didn't have the answer, and you didn't know how to comfort him either "Life isn't fair" You choose to say, sitting down beside him with the guitar leaning against your leg "Life doesn't control the actions of others- or what they do...Life made us with our own minds for that purpose and some people choose to abuse it"

"But why me?"

"Because you were a kid, it wasn't just you, Fox- all of you kids fell victim to it. None of you did anything wrong, and Vincent knew that. He knew that it would torture you for the rest of your days. It was a thought out plan, not driven by fate but- controlled by him"

"But I want a family with you, Y/n!" Foxys voice rose suddenly, making you jump slightly in your seat "I want to make you smile, take you out to places I have no idea about like a funfair- kiss you unexpectedly or grab your waist and tickle you just to make you squirm and do that adorable laugh you have the pleasure of owning I-" He stops, sighing dejectedly "I want a life with you, lass"

Tears find themselves rolling down your face, looking up at him through your blurred vision "You can't tell me that now!" You yell "You can't tell me that because it makes me fall even more in love with you- don't you think I want kids with you? How I want to be able to hug you and never let you go but can't because all the time I've had with you have been fucked up in some way?" You grab your hair, tugging on it in frustration "I've fallen completely, and utterly, in love with you, Fox. But being with you is too hard- It's just too fucking hard"

Foxy reaches out and grabs your wrists, pulling them away from your face before letting go, and wrapping them around your waist instead, pulling you onto his lap "I'm sorry" He whispers "I'm so sorry"

You wrap your arms around his neck and bury your face in his hair, shaking "How am I supposed to say goodbye to you?"

"You can't- that's just one of my many charms y/n" Foxy chuckles softly, but you can hear his voice crack mid-sentence

"Asshole"

"Brat"

"Jerk"

"Princess"

"Dickwagon"

"Baby"

"Asshat"

"Asswipe"

"I win because you practically copied mine"

"Fuck off, y/n"

"I love you"

"I love you too"

"Is it ready?"

"Yes, boss"

"Good. This place will be sought after no more"

A girl walked in, with sandy hair and tired eyes "Aren't you going too far this time, Vince?"

The man with lilac skin glances over his shoulder, his eyes narrowing at the girl "Angel, sweetheart, when have I ever taken something too far?" His sharp teeth glint in the dim lights of the room as he grins. He knew he would win. Vincent always won. He never lost.

This time would be no different; this place would go up in shambles, and he'll make sure to leave nothing but a memory of Freddy Fazbears Pizza. All he needed to do was press a button, but he needed to wait.

Yeah.

Wait just a little longer, let the feelings grow a little stronger. Then he would wrench it away, and watch as the flames danced in the moonlight and the crowd around the building grow. He was ready for the screams, and the pathetic firemen attempting to rid of his work of art. It would be too far gone for them to do anything. And by the time the flames clear.

It'll be gone.

And his game can begin all over again.
