Chapter Two - It Begins
"Oh no" I groaned as I watched Charles leave the table in the bar we currently occupied in Oxford
"What?" Raven asked looking at me
"He's going to try his luck with that girl" over the years I had spent with my adoptive siblings I became very observant of people and I knew Charles had a thing for a pretty face.
"No he's not" I raise my eye brow and pointed over to the two. The young blonde who looked a little like Raven with honey blonde hair and a pretty smile was talking with Charles.
"Knowing him he's using his 'groovy mutation' pick up line. Now he's going to by her a drink getting exactly what she likes using his telepathy."
"Norman, pint of bitter for me and a brandy for the lady please"
"Now they will have a chat about how he knew and he'll brush her off before introducing himself" they shook hands
"Back to the talk of mutation and flattering her before she's hooked and we're forgotten"
"How do you do that?" she asked
"I'm the quiet observant one" I shrugged and she rolled her eyes. We grabbed our things going up to them.
"Chin- chin, Hey."
"Hey I guess we'll have to buy our own drinks" Raven sighed
"I'm sorry, two colas" he ordered
"Charles was just telling me that I'm like one of the first sea creatures that grew legs"
"Tiny bit sexier. I'm sorry these are my sisters, Raven and Pippa"
"Hi" we faked smiled
"Amy" she introduced herself"
"And what do you study?" she asked us
"Waitressing" Raven replied "Ancient History" I informed her
"Ah" she then saw something "Oh look you have heterochomia, too." I looked at Raven and slightly smiled when i noticed she changed one of her eye colours
"Sorry what?" Charles asked
"Well look at her eye" we both looked at Charles who's demeanour changed and he cleared his throat
"Right, girls get your coats. We're leaving."

"Don't talk to me you did that on purpose." Charles huffed as we left the pub
"I did not! Why would I do that on purpose?"
"Yes, you did!"
"You know I can't control it sometimes if I'm stressed or tired." they argued
"You seem to be doing a perfectly good job right now." he replied
"Mutant and Proud" I imitated
"Oh Pippa not you too" Charles groaned
"Or is it only with the pretty mutations or invisible one's like yours and Pippa's? But if you're freak you better hide"
"You are being ridiculous." we stopped
"Look, I don't mean to sound like an old fart."
"Which you are" I giggled slightly
"Sometimes. But we've talked about this Raven. A small slip up is one thing. A big one does not bear thinking about." he then set of back to the dorms. I was becoming very tired and I changed for bed.
"I'm going to go to bed" I said after changing.
"Okay" Charles mumbled from his work
"Goodnight Raven" she looked at me now back in her natural blue form.
"Night Pippa" I looked back at Charles.
"Charles" I raised my voice and he looked up.
"Yes night Pippa" I rolled my eyes and kissed his cheek before going to bed.

Raven and I stood up clapping as Charles received his degree and title of Professor.
"Professor of Genetics, Charles Francis Xavier" I laughed and clapped as he received his diploma and nodded shaking his Professor's hand.
"So how does it feel to be a professor?" I ask the three of us left under a umbrella
"Oh don't call me that. You are not a professor until you actually have a teaching position"
"We know but it suits you" Raven smiled
"Don't say that it suit me. Do say let's go have a drink"
"Let's go have a drink" we both chimed
"Wonderful"
