i woke up slamming my alarm on the floor i hated this stupid internship but it was the best opportunity for me right now i got out of bed doing my hygiene and cleaning up i didnt have to be there until 11 and it was only going on 9:30 i let my dog coca out to do her business as i picked out a casual fit this is what they told up to wear a laid back fit that is comfortable to work in i slide on my gray outfit on with my all white all-stars i flat ironed my hair making a note to self to go to my hairstylist to touch up these roots that where starting to get a little ruff do to my hot showers i grabbed my purse leaving my condo by 10:15 i wish i could have left earlier but coca did not want to come back in the house so i had to find her i rushed down the road only to be stopped my new york traffic making me mentally curse myself i couldnt be late or this my mom set this up for me only to make her look bad i finally got out of traffic rushing to the building with about three minutes to spare i basically ran to find where i had to be by the time i made it in they had already started the meeting i tried to slide in quietly but failed horribly dropping everything in my hands and falling on the ground everyone looked back at me laughing i was so embarrassed the person holding looked at me with be death stare i hurried and found a seat this was horrible
"back to what i was saying before i was very rudely interrupted" she snapped her neck at me making me sink in my seat

"i know you are" she replied rolling her eyes i scuffed trying to hold my tongue because i needed this job
"well this is a very laid back job and if you do get picked to stay permanently you would have to free your whole schedule so if you have a family friends cats dogs or animals that you have to hold a undying responsibility too this is not the job for you your going to constantly be on the run from getting clothes from the cleaners to practically wiping your clients ass you are the assistant the stylish the wardrobe consultant in one only speak when you are spoken too and ladies please for the love of god dont fall in love because you will only end up heartbroken and jobless in the end i have seen it to many times to count so put your feeling in your back pockets i understand we are humans but for the sake of your career i advise you not to get attached because the artist will try you their away from home their families so they need some comfort but keep it strictly business do we have a understanding" she explained "oh and by the way i layla one of your many bosses im here to keep you in line you all can come to be about anything i hope we can build new friendships and a family here i would hate to see anyone leave" she told us
"asia call out the names and a sign them to an artist" she told the girl as she called out names handing out files the girl got to me i raised my hand and layla took it out of the girls hand reading it bringing it to me herself i gulped because she did this to no one else but me

"cute shoes your new client is dave... dave east.. i will personally escort you to him okay" she smiled handing me his file i nodded as she walked away after everyone left layla showed me to where i needed to be

"you are not who i am worried about dave is watch out for him he has broken hearts left and right this is your only warning that i will give you but welcome we have made it to dave studio session" she told me i took her words into consideration following close behind her as we enter the studio filled with smoke i coughed waving it out of my face layla smirked shaking her head i watched her as she talked with tall ass dude but i was surrounded by smoke i couldnt really make out his face but when i did he was a giant and fine ass hell

i sat in the studio vibing trying to find the right beat with my nigga nas who was producing my ep. but non of these beats where working for me i watched as layla fine ass waltz her way in here with her little stuck up ass she came over to me telling me about my new assistant and not to screw up with this one and blah blah but all i wanted to do was bend her ass over and give her some of this wood i only smiled half listening to her until she pulled this girl that damn near knocked me out my shoes i rubbed my hands down my face how the fuck this label to keep my hands to myself when they keep giving me these fine ass assistants they fucking blowing me she introduced us and left i looked back at nas and he shook his head before getting up leaving
"so you my new right hand woman" i asked her and she just nodded pulling out her ipad sitting down on the couch i looked at her like she was crazy see this was some different shit right here and i didnt like it not one bit but i kept quiet trying to figure out wtf was missing or what i was doing wrong on this beat i played with the controls before i felt the presences of someone i looked over to see old girl see i knew she would come around
"wussup ms.lady" i asked
"you going to hard on this bass right here turn it down and add less auto and turn the background violins up but not to hard just soft enough" she told me i looked at her so she rolled her eyes pushing me out of the way doing what she told me to do then replaying the track and i must admit this shit right here was hard just as i was about to say something nas walked back in nodding his head to the beat

"yeah lil mama... " i cut myself off seeing that she had moved back to the couch i shook my head
"now we can finish this mf song nigga go get in the booth" he laughed pushing me in there i went in nodding to the beat putting my head phones on i watched as i vibe to the song after i was done i seen ms.lady and nas chopping it up having a damn good time im just not meeting shawty but i didnt need no thirst trap assistant i hopped out the booth as they continued their conversation i walked out as they where laughing
"man that shit was nice right there" nas laughed
"how would you know if u so busy smiling in shawty face" i snapped nas looked a bit offended
"the fuck nigga this my damn god daughter what the fuck are you saying" he raised up out his chair

"i know this little nigga need to control his temper" nas laughed "but bye babygirl im glade your mama helped you with this call me whenever you make it home" he got up and left i just sat down man i needed to get my attitude together the girl came and sat in the chair beside me rolling up a blunt
"maybe you need this to calm your nerves" she passed it to me i looked at her nodding
