For a second there, Jungkook went numb. He knew he liked Sinb... he just wasn't aware he loved her. With her heart having stopped for a split second, it almost felt like his entire world came tumbling down. His breathing paused, his hair stood up, and fear took over his whole body.
Jungkook: "You're okay now, you're okay" he consoled her as she continued to cough. Luckily for them, the weather was quite warm so even though Sinb was drenched in water- she'd be in stable condition.
Sinb: "How'd you find me?" she asked.
Jungkook: "The tide took me to you" he replied while scanning her head to make sure she wasn't hurt anywhere.
Sinb: "You jumped in the water after me??!" her voice was starting to come back.
Jungkook: "Are you hurt anywhere?"
Sinb: "Jeon Jungkook, are you crazy?! You could've been killed!" she scolded him for having followed her. "You could've went straight towards that dam down there! What were you thinking?!" she continued.
Jungkook: "I was thinking that if I didn't come after you then I'd regret it for the rest of my life!" he yelled back at her. "Do you know how scared I was?!"
Sinb: "Still..." she softly said.
Jungkook: "I don't care what the situation is. You are my priority" he added.
Sinb looked at the drenched Jungkook who was still busy scanning her entire body to look for any injuries that she may have gotten from the sharp branches.
Sinb: "I'm fine, I really am" she stopped him, holding onto his wrists to halt him from worrying about her. "Where are the others?" she asked.
Jungkook: "They're on the other side for now" he helped her stand up. "Are you sure you're okay?" he asked again.
Sinb: "Yes mom" she rolled her eyes at him "thanks to you" she smiled at him.
Jungkook: "And for saving your life, you should start calling me oppa now" he said.
Sinb: "Yea, over my dead body" she responded before the two stopped and stared at each other for her unintended pun just now.
Jungkook: "Let's not talk about death, shall we?" he took her by the hand as they started to walk back to the area where they were crossing the river earlier.

Sohyun: "Why aren't they here yet?" she paced back and forth as the rest of them waited at the edge of the river after having made it across. Yugyeom, who sat down, couldn't help but be annoyed of Sohyun's constant nuisance.
Eunseo: "Thank you..." she expressed her gratitude to Hanbin who was busy trying to figure out how to get to the island before dark.
Hanbin: "For?" he coldly responded.
Eunseo: "Well... for earlier... I guess" she arched her brows a bit.
Hanbin: "It's not something to be thankful for" he replied.
Eunseo: "I know... I know what I did was... selfish and stupid and..."
Hanbin: "Disloyal" he added.
Eunseo: "Right..." her eyes narrowed down to the ground, feeling shameful for what she's done to Sinb.
Hanbin: "The only right way to make of this situation is to apologize" he told her.
Eunseo: "I plan on... apologizing" she managed to say before slowly walking away to sit down on the other side of the log.
Yugyeom: "COULD YOU" he started to say but held in his temper, "Could you possibly just stand still or sit still and stop pacing around?? You're making me more nervous" he said.
Sohyun: "How could I? Jungkook is out there and I don't even know if he's alive right now!" she panicked once again.
Hanbin: "Jungkook's more than capable" he assured her "Pretty sure the guy could manage"
Yugyeom was a little taken aback to hear Hanbin praise Jungkook. Just hearing that made him respect his best friend's enemy a little bit. Hanbin noticed Yugyeom looking at him and that's when he realized he was being too nice.
**
Jungkook: "You think you can do this again?" he asked her before they were going to attempt crossing the river bank once more.
Sinb: "Yea... of- of course I can" she replied, not being able to take her eyes off the deep ends.
Jungkook: "Remember, don't be afraid. I've got you" he strapped onto her tiny waist extra tight.
As they slowly crossed the river, Jungkook would smile a little every time Sinb grasped onto his shirt.
Sinb: "Why do you keep smiling?" she asked him when she finally caught a glimpse of it.
Jungkook: "Just wish the river was wider, that's all" he continued to grin.
Sinb: "Why?" she was confused.
Jungkook: "So I can hold you like this a little longer" his words made her heart flutter.
Sinb: "Are we almost there yet?" she asked, trying to change the subject.
Jungkook: "I wish we weren't" he responded as they got closer to the other side.
At this point, the others were rounding up on the shore- surprised to see Jungkook and Sinb well and alive.
Sohyun: "Jungkook-ah, thank god you're alright!" she said to him as he got out of the water. "I was worried sick about you!" she added.
Yugyeom: "You good, man?" he asked his buddy to which Jungkook nodded his head to.
Hanbin: "Bring her to the fire to warm up" he directed Yugyeom.
Eunseo: "B-ya" she muttered but was too afraid to approach... she didn't know where to start. All she knows is that she feels like a million pins poking at her heart right now.
Sohyun: "Jungkook-ah, how are you feeling?" she asked.
Jungkook: "I'm fine. But can you check up on Sinb? I think she hurt her arm" he told her.
Sohyun: "But I'm worried about you" she said to him.
Jungkook: "You're supposed to help our comrades, aren't you? I'm fine. 100% healthy. But Sinb's hurt... can you check on her like a normal nurse would?" he stared hard into her eyes.
And without saying anything, Sohyun stomped her way to check on Sinb who was sitting by the fire that Hanbin had put together to stay warm.
Sohyun: "Are you hurt anywhere?!" her harsh tone of voice made Sinb look up at her.
Sinb: "No, I'm fine" she responded, trying not to shake in her wet clothes.
Hanbin: "Here, keep yourself warm with this" he put his jacket around her.
Sohyun: "She says she's fine so..." she started to say as she walked back to Jungkook.
Jungkook: "Yah, are you sure?" he asked Sinb as he stood up from his position and walked over to her. "You're shaking" he said.
Sinb: "I said I'm fine. Stop making a big deal out of nothing" she rolled her eyes, hinting him not to reveal their 'relationship' to the people around them. As she wrapped Hanbin's jacket tighter, she notice Eunseo standing at the tree, just staring at the ground. Regardless, Sinb knew now was not the right time to talk to Eunseo...
Later after getting dried up, the gang finally made way to the island where the other groups had already arrived.
Dahyun: "What happened to you guys?" she asked after seeing how long it took for Sinb's team to finally get onto the island.
Sinb: "We... got lost, that's all" she smiled.
Dahyun: "You guys have a whole team of aces and still got lost? Ha! That's a story!" she chuckled.
Yugyeom: "We would've gotten here but..." but before he could finish, he stopped talking as he realize Sinb was looking at him.
Dahyun: "But...?"
Yugyeom: "But I had to keep stopping to... to poop" he lied.
Dahyun: "Too much information, oppa!" she covered her ears. "Well, I'm glad you and Eunseo are here now! I was starting to get bored" she smiled. "Eunseo-ya, what's wrong?" she asked her friend when she realized Eunseo's face was so pale. "Are you hurt somewhere?" she added.
Eunseo: "No, no of course not" she smiled at Dahyun before walking away to join the other groups who were huddling around the coach.

Later around after dinner time, everyone sat around the fire as the coach made some of the members show off their talents. Sinb couldn't help but wonder where Eunseo had gone off to. She knew she needed to talk to her, however. After all, it made no sense as to why Eunseo had suddenly pushed her into the water...
Sinb stood at the edge of the camp as she stared off into the beautiful mountain view. The moon's reflection lit up from the river down below and the breeze was a lot more calm than earlier in the day.
Eunseo: "Sinb-ya" her soft voice startled Sinb from behind. Not sure if she wants to answer or react to Eunseo's call to her, Sinb started to walk away without saying anything. "I'm sorry" the words finally came out of her mouth.
Sinb: "You know I could've died" she tried not to raise her voice or get out of control.
Eunseo: "I know... which is why I can't help but feel all the more guilty" she lowered her teary eyes. "I know I can't turn back time and make it all go away... but... I just wanted to let you know... that I am truly sorry..." she wept.
Having never seen Eunseo cry, Sinb was a little taken aback seeing Eunseo react in such a way. And although Sinb can't bring herself to trust Eunseo anymore... for some reason, she knew Eunseo was genuinely apologizing.
Eunseo: "I didn't mean to... I mean, I just... all of a sudden, I felt this rush in my emotions and I stupidly let my anger get the best of me and..."
Sinb: "Why?" she interrupted. "Why push me though?" she was confused.
Eunseo: "Because you always get everything you want!" she blurted before taking a big breath. "You have everything! You're popular at school, you made your debut in a girl group popular enough that fans don't accidentally call you by another member's name, you're close to Jungkook and so many A-list celebrities, you come from a good family... You have it all, B-ya" she closed her complaints. "So when I saw you and Jungkook kiss yesterday, I was furious" she confessed.
Sinb: "Because... you like Jungkook too?" she finally got the gist of it all.
Eunseo: "You have everything I've ever wanted" her eyes became misty. "I told myself that if there's anything I could beat you at... it's winning Jungkook's heart. But obviously I lost to you on that as well" she frowned while wiping her tears.
Sinb: "Sorry I never knew about your feelings" she finally spoke after a period of silence.
Eunseo: "How could you? I've never told you" she chuckled in embarrassment.
Sinb: "But as your friend, I should've seen the pain you were going through"
Eunseo: "And as a friend, I should've cheered you for being happy... not look at you as a competition" she smiled.
Sinb: "I wish you would've told me"
Eunseo: "That I envied your success? Ha, no way..." she laughed.
Sinb: "That you had feelings for Jungkook" she corrected her.
Eunseo: "Why should I have? I mean-- it's obvious he likes YOU and not me... Every time I try to talk to him or partner up with him, he leaves me to come to you instead" she sat down. "I tried so hard... even when his girlfriend came into the story, I continued to divert his attention to me but failed in every way" she said.
Sinb: "It's not too late" she said to Eunseo.
Eunseo: "Are you out of your mind? Jungkook likes you... and as your friend, I know you like him just as much"
Sinb: "Yeah, I'm not so sure about that"
Eunseo: "What do you mean?"
Sinb: "I don't know... I just don't think Jungkook likes me like that... I guess I'm... I'm just not--"
Eunseo: "Convinced?" she chuckled "I think that kiss yesterday was convincing enough"
Sinb: "Skin ship can happen between anybody... but it takes one to tell the other if they really like them"
Eunseo: "Wait... he hasn't told you he likes you?" she looked at Sinb who looked back at her. "B-ya, words aren't as strong as how he shows you... Not everything has to be verbal" she laughed.
Sinb: "Yeah... but still... it'd be nice to hear it" she looked at the ground.
Eunseo: "Well... I'm not sure what's going to happen between you and Jungkook after this but... I just want you to know that you have my full support" she smiled.
Sinb: "Eunseo-ya, you don't have to force yourself to--"
Eunseo: "I mean it... Hey, if it's anybody that I'd like to see Jungkook with, it's you... not that phony, two-timing girlfriend of his" she rolled her eyes.
Sinb: "Wait, you know about--"
Eunseo: "I overheard it too... That's how I saw you and Jungkook run out into the woods" she revealed.
Sinb: "Ahh" she didn't know what to say anymore.
Eunseo: "Should we go back now?" she asked "before they all start to look for us?"
And with that, the two linked arms like how they used to, and walked back to the fire pit to join the others.
**
That night, coach went to bed early and told the idol members that they'd have the next two hours to relax before heading back to base tomorrow morning.
Yugyeom: "B-ya, how's your arm?"
Sinb: "Better now" she smiled.
Yugyeom: "Well that's an image I've yet to see in a while" he said.
Sinb: "Should I not smile then?" she asked.
Yugyeom: "Carry on... carry on" he shifted positions with Dahyun who smacked him in the arm for being so silly.
Dahyun: "You sure your arm is ok?" she wanted to make sure.
Sinb: "Yes, mom" she was starting to get tired of everyone worrying about her.
Hanbin: "Sinb-ya" his voice interrupted their conversation. "Oppa needs your help" he said as he fed wood to the fire.
Sinb: "Oppa, my ass" she rolled her eyes at him.
As she stood up to walk towards Hanbin, she noticed Sohyun getting up from the circle as well to walk over to Jungkook, who was busy grabbing water at one of the tents.
Sinb: "What is it?" she asked, moving her eyes away from Jungkook to Hanbin.
Hanbin: "Could you grab me that piece of wood?" he pointed to the stick next to her boot.
Sinb: "Here" she kicked it over to him.
Hanbin: "And this is why I like you" he chuckled as he picked up the stick Sinb had kicked over.
Sinb: "The word 'like' seems to be everyone's favorite word these days..." she low-key complained, not being able to keep her eyes off of Jungkook and Sohyun.
Hanbin: "Ahh!" he yelped in pain as he accidentally burns his hand in the fire.
Sinb: "Are you okay??" she immediately turned to him, squatting down to check in on his hand.
Hanbin: "Yea, yea... It was just quick heat" he assured her.
Sinb: "Hold on" she went to go grab the first aid kit.
Hanbin looked at Sinb with eyes that couldn't leave her. He liked her character- one who seems cold on the outside... but carries warmest within.
Sinb: "Hold still" she gently took his hand.
Hanbin: "I told you already-- it's no big-- AHHH" his loud scream made everyone turn to look at them with curiosity.
Sinb: "And you said it was nothing..." she scoffed at him.
Hanbin: "It's your fault" he suddenly said.
Sinb: "How is it my fault? You burned your hand all by yourself" she tried not to laugh.
Hanbin: "If you hadn't stood in front of me and made me lose my focus, I wouldn't have burnt myself" his words made Sinb stop whatever it was she was doing.
Her eyes paced slowly back and forth in Hanbin's eyes... she was lost. The things that Hanbin would say to her... somehow it felt a little more convincing than whenever Jungkook would say something to her. But she knew her heart belonged to Jungkook... and Jungkook only.
**
Sohyun: "Jungkook-ah, how's your condition?" she asked him as he had his back facing her.
Jungkook: "Better now" he answered without looking at her. As he carried a dozen of water bottles in his arms, his attention turned to his right after hearing Hanbin yelp in pain. Only then did he realize Sinb was with his arch nemesis.
Sohyun: "Aren't they cute together?" she noticed Jungkook was looking at Sinb and Hanbin instead of paying attention to her. "It's like they were meant to be" she added fuel. Just as Jungkook is about to walk over with his arms full of water bottles, Sohyun stops him.
Sohyun: "Jungkook-ah" she began to say to him, even with his back still turned to her. "We're still together... right?" her voice carried some sort of sadness and insecurity in it.
Jungkook: "What are you--" but then he realized he hadn't confirmed it with her. The past few days, he's been giving her the cold shoulders... not even giving her a proper reason-- or yet has he told her the reason why he wants to break up with her.
Sohyun: "Why are you suddenly treating me so cold like this?" her eyes trembled in mist.
Jungkook: "Sohyun-ah, I---"
Sohyun: "Is it because I broke up with you that one time?" she looked in his eyes for an answer. "I begged you for forgiveness... I thought we were passed that stage already?"
Jungkook: "Sohyun-ah, I've been wanting to talk to you about this..." he finally said.
Sohyun: "I'm listening" she smiled, hoping he'd clear up her negative thoughts.
Jungkook: "I don't think this is going to work out anymore..." he finally said after pausing.
Sohyun couldn't believe her ears. Her heart shattered and she knew she had no one else but Jungkook for support. Her career as a trainee, an aspiring idol, actress- whatever!! She knew she had no more of that... which is why she came to the base... She knew she needed Jungkook back... and she wasn't going to leave camp without what she came here for.
Jungkook: "I'll admit... I was hurt when you broke up with me... but maybe that was when I realized I was falling out of love with you as well" his words pierced her. "I was stupid" he began to say. "I had someone I loved with me at all times... through my darkest times as a trainee... but I took her for granted. I took our friendship for granted" he told her.
Sohyun: "Stop" she didn't want to hear anymore. "Just stop" her tears peaked. "How could you do this to me? And with her...?" she couldn't believe it. "She's with someone else right now and you're still interested in her... when you have me, standing right here in front of you... Me, who has been there for you as well... Me, your girlfriend... How could you say this to me??!" her volume of voice was starting to attract attention.
Jungkook: "Sohyun-ah, I---"
Sohyun: "No! If I can't have you, she can't have you either. She doesn't deserve you! I do" she cried.
Jungkook: "It's over, Sohyun-ah... This is it between us" he clarified.
As Sohyun looked over to Sinb, who was now looking at what the commotion was, knew she couldn't show any signs of weaknesses. She knew she had to do something... something to get back at Sinb for stealing her boyfriend.
Sohyun: "No" she mumbled to Jungkook, who was now looking at her.
Jungkook: "It's not up to you" he tried to say.
Sohyun: "Yes, it is. It's my right too" she clenched her fists together, still looking at Sinb.
Jungkook: "You lost that right the day you left me for--" but before he could finish, Sohyun threw herself at him- making him lose control as his arms were still carrying the dozens of water bottles he had grabbed earlier to distribute to the members.
Sohyun: "It's not over until I say it is" she whispered to him as her face closed in on his.
Jungkook: "What are you---" but not allowing him to say more, Sohyun pressed her lips on his with all of her force as Jungkook stood there in front of her, helpless and confused.
Dropping the water bottles, Jungkook finally pushes Sohyun away from him before he glares at her with more hatred and confusion. She took advantage of him and he hated that.
Jungkook: "What the hell are you doing?!" he yelled at her.
Sohyun: "Putting on a good show" she smiled as she wiped her tears. "And I must say... it was a pretty successful one too" her eyes diverted elsewhere. Wondering where she was looking at, Jungkook's eyes followed until they leveled with Sinb's...
Sinb stopped wrapping Hanbin's hand as she thought hard about what she just saw. But not wanting to make a scene out of it, Sinb tried to control her emotions... at least until she was out and far away from the crowd.
Sinb: "You need some water to cool down the burn before I put ointment on it so... I'll... I'll just be back..." she said to Hanbin before getting up.
Hanbin: "It's dark. I'll come with" he began to say.
Sinb: "No, stay here... I'll be back in a sec" she ran off.
Seeing Sinb run off, Jungkook knew Sohyun's kiss must've gotten to her. Wanting to tell her it's all just a misunderstanding, Jungkook sped off after her...
Dahyun: "Wait, why did Jungkook just--" she was confused about why he was following Sinb.
Yugyeom: "Kids don't need to know" he teased her.
Dahyun: "Kim Yugyeom!" she threatened to chop him into pieces.
Yugyeom: "Are you really Sinb's best friend or are you seriously that clueless??" he asked.
Dahyun: "About what?"
Yugyeom: "About..." he looked around "Sinb and Jungkook" he whispered.
Dahyun: "What about them??" she scratched her head.
Eunseo: "They like each other" she interrupted and smiled.
Yugyeom/Dahyun: WHAAAT?!"
Eunseo: "Why are YOU so shocked? Didn't you know?" she looked at Yugyeom.
Yugyeom: "I was just playing around with Dahyun but... what is this? Why didn't he tell me? Are you lying? Because if Jungkook really liked Sinb, he would've told me by now" he glared at Eunseo whom he was suspicious of.
Eunseo: "If Jungkook didn't like or care about Sinb... would he have ran after her like that just a moment ago?" she reminded them.
Dahyun: "What is this conspiracy??" she asked. "Are you two playing with me right now?" her eyes paced back and forth between Yugyeom and Eunseo.
Jaehyun: "It's true" he chimed in.
Yugyeom: "You knew and never told me?!"
Jaehyun: "It was obvious"
Yugyeom: "I knew you liked Sinb but Jungkook...? He never showed signs"
Dahyun: "Wait, Jaehyun oppa liked Sinb?? Alright, someone tell me what's going on!" she demanded an explanation to her confusion.
Jaehyun: "Jungkook likes Sinb, that's all you guys oughta know" he smiled...
Eunseo: "And Sinb likes Jungkook" she added.
Yugyeom: "Oh, the betrayal..." he started to complain.
Dahyun: "Don't tell me you like her as well?"
Yugyeom: "No, no! She's like an older sister" he clarified.
Dahyun: "We're younger than you..." she arched her brow.
Yugyeom: "I mean to say she's like a younger sister to me who treats me like an older sister" he corrected himself.
Dahyun: "Wow... I can't believe. Friendship that blossomed into a love relationship..." she spazzed continuously, "How sweeeeet" she jumped up and down.

Jungkook stopped as soon as he saw Sinb stop in front of the stream. With the moon as their only source of light, he was surprised to see Sinb run out here all by herself without panicking about the dark as she would usually...
Jungkook: "Sinb-ya" his calm voice called to her as she still had her back to him.
Sinb didn't know how she'd answer. She wondered if she had a right to get angry or upset with him? She wasn't his girlfriend after all... and she wasn't sure what kind of relationship they were in. Jungkook would keep teasing about him being her boyfriend and all... but she didn't know if he was ever serious about it.
Jungkook: "Sinb-ya, let me explain..." he began to say.
Sinb: "Eoh!" her startled voice startled him right back. "You scared me!" she put her hand across her chest. "What are you doing out here?" she asked him. Confused as to why she was acting so normal, Jungkook didn't know how to respond to her.
Jungkook: "I came after you" he told her.
Sinb: "Oh... why?" she tried to put on a big smile to not make things so suspicious.
Jungkook: "Because I know you saw what just happened over there..."
Sinb: "What? Oh that? That's your business. It's got nothing to do with me" she chuckled nervously. "I came here to fetch some water to go clean Hanbin's wound so uhh... I'm going to head back now" she tried to walk past him.
As soon as she past him, he took her by the arm and made sure she'd hear him out. After all, he was afraid she'd misunderstand him...
Jungkook: "It's not what it looks like" he started to say to her, stopping her from walking away.
Sinb: "Like I said- it's none of my--"
Jungkook: "But I want you to know... If it's anyone I don't want to disappoint, it's you" he clarified with her.
Sinb: "And I'm telling you- I don't care. Don't worry about it" she tried to assure him.
Jungkook: "If you don't care, why are you out here alone in the dark?" he moved in closer to her side.
Sinb: "I told you- I ran here to fetch water for--"
Jungkook: "You hate being in the dark alone" he wasn't going to be fooled.
Sinb: "I've... I've learned to grow a back bone. I'm an adult now. I've gotten over the dark already" she rolled her eyes.
Jungkook: "The other night you weren't" he tried to reason with her pathetic lies.
Sinb: "Look, I really don't care whether you and Sohyun kiss or don't kiss- that's your business. Not mine. So--"
Jungkook: "What about our kiss? Our kisses... do they matter?" he asked her as Sinb becomes too speechless to say anything more.
Sinb: "It... It was nothing more than just a phase" she managed to say.
Jungkook: "Why are you being like this?" he takes the bucket of water away from her hands and set its aside. "Why are you suddenly acting like it's okay that Sohyun just kissed me in front of you?"
Sinb: "Just stop. This is pointless" she tried to walk away but Jungkook grabs her by her forearm and pulls her in front of him.
As Sinb is held hostage in front of Jungkook, she tries to break out of his arms only to be tightly kept in... Trying hard not to make any eye contact with him, Sinb turns her head to the left and demands him to let her go.
Sinb: "Let me go now" she continues to try breaking out of his strong grip.
Jungkook: "Not until you clear it with me"
Sinb: "I'm telling you- I don't care. You can do whatever you want" she said to him.
Jungkook: "Even if I kiss you right now?" his question made Sinb's heart flutter...
Sinb's eyes uncontrollably diverted to Jungkook's... and she continued to stand in his arms, helplessly, as her heart beats rapidly while staring into his eyes... hoping she wouldn't give in to his lips... again...
