Writing Prompt: Who's dancing and why are they tapping those toes?
As the new kid settled down I focused back on the teacher. I knew I wasn't the best at this class and I really needed to focus.
However this instantly became one of the hardest possible things to do because the kid began tapping his fucking fingers on the desk.
Boom, Crash, Bang, They went as the kid tapped out a rhythm I felt like I should know.
A few more seconds of this struggle passed with me paying absalutley no attention to the teacher.
Then I had it.
"You're a drummer?" I asked the boy.
He turned to look at me with a sly smile. Any drummer worth their salt knew the song Chop Suey!
"Yeah, you?" He replied.
"Yeah. Started 4 years ago."
"My name's Jake."
"Tess." I replied with a small smile.
Little did I know that would be the start to an amazing friendship.
