"catch me Daddy!" I would scream, as i swung on my tire swing. It was much, but it one one of the few things we had left. Being as the war began, the army needed my metal swing set.
I jumped off and he caught me with his strong arms. He wouldn't let me fall. I knew he wouldn't.
Years passed and Daddy had to go to war. We got letters every week letting us know he was ok. One day was different though. I walked into the kitchen and saw mom crying at the table. With her, was a peice of paper that had K.I.A. in big bold letters. I tried to get as far away from the war as much as possible (besides talking to Daddy) so i didn't know what K.I.A. meant.
I tried comforting her, but she just pushed me away anf told me to go out and play. I obeyed and walked out to the swing. It wasn't until i was higher than two yards, that Daddy walked up to the swing with a smile. I was so happy to see him again! We could play like we used to!
He held his arms out wide and said "Come on, you can jump! I'll catch you!"
I smiled and jumped out to him. It's like i was-
