Later that day, Daryl came home. He grabbed a shovel and didn't say anything. "Hey, are you okay?" I asked. "I have the bury Denise." He walked out. I turned to Alexis and she gave me the same look.
Carl was still outside and I tried not to look at him.
Apart of me knew I was wrong. But, the stubborn part wasn't giving in. He watched me follow my uncle and soon Alexis stopped me.
"Go." She pointed at him. I shook my head trying to walk past. "If you don't Enid will take this as her chance to take him. Are you willing to lose him over this?" She looked me in the eyes. "You two love each other and like it or not you two are giving these people hope." She told me.
"How?" I asked.
"Watching you two is like watching a movie about young love." Alexis said.
"You are the hope in these people."
I sighed and turned to look at him finally. Our eyes locked and I felt every feeling for him wash over my body. I got the weird butterflies I got when he smiled. I even felt the heat rise in my face. I waved him over and we met in the middle.
"I'm sorry." I looked down.
He shrugged and shook his head. "I understand." He smiled. "You were confused." He nodded. I shrugged. "I don't know what was wrong with me." I shook my head looking down. He leaned down to kiss me and I stood on my tiptoes.
"Hey, Ellie," Damien said from behind. I jumped back and turned.
"Oh, hi." I looked at him. Carl gave me a confused look. "This is Damien he's new to Alexandria." I explained. "You must be Carl." Damien smiled. Carl nodded and they shook hands. "I'm looking for an Alexis." He said. "Her sister said she would be with you."
I pointed over at the girl and he nodded walking towards her.
"Don't worry, he's gay." I informed.
"Mmhm." Carl grabbed my hand. "I'm going to help Olivia today." He lifted my head up. "Whats your job?" He asked. "As always, Judy duty." I crossed my arms. "I guess I'll see you later than." He said. I nodded and smiled. He gave me a quick kiss and walked away. I went over to Alexis and told her what I was going to do.
"Before that, you might want to handle this." She pointed at Daryl.
He was by the gate waiting for it to open. "Daryl!" I ran over to him. "What are you doing?" I grabbed him. "I'm going out." He grummbled. "Well, duh!" I tried to pull him. He didn't budge and I groaned. "You just got back!" I yelled.
He turned to look at me. "Ellie have I ever left you." He stared into my eyes. I shook my head.
"Excatly, and I don't plan to." He nodded. "I promise you, I'll be back."
I thought for a moment then stepped back. "Let him go." I sighed. Glenn and Michonne followed and Rosita got in with them. They all left and I stood there. "Get back to work!" Maggie said.
I nodded and went to Ricks.
Rick was getting dressed he handed me Judith and began to tell me what his plans were. I nodded and put her in her high chair. She was playing with her spoons when Carol boyfriend came in.
He was telling Rick how she went missing and left a note.
Rick told me to stay here with Judith and to let Carl know what happened when he got back.
I nodded and contined making Judith food.
Once he left, I sat down and sighed. "I'm going to make sure you stay safe." I kissed her forehead. "Ewie." She smiled. I laughed and handed her a chicken nugget. Just like her brother, she dipped it into her choclate pudding. I smiled remembering how he alway did that.
"You must really be his sister."
Judith and I spent the rest of the day playing with toys. I was putting her down for her nap when Carl busted through the door. "Shh." I scolded him. He laughed and hugged me. I leaned in and kissed him. He kissed back and Rick came in and grabbed him. "We need to go to the Hilltop, Now!" He yelled.
I heard Judith start crying and I ran to get her. "Ellie, stay here." Rick said. "I trust you with everything." He said. I nodded and ran toward the crying girl. "Hey." I bent down next to her.
I picked her up and went to Carls room.
We laid down and I played with her hair.
The both of us began to fall asleep until we were both out like a light.

It was the next morning, everything was quite when I woke. "Carl?" I looked around. He wasn't anywhere in his room. "You're not back yet?" I rubbed my eyes. I checked Michonnes and Ricks room but they weren't there.
I yawned and went to the front door. I opened it and Enid ran towards me. "They aren't back." I said. She nodded, "Maggie started screaming about her stomach, they left. Carl locked me in the amory." She explained.
"Alexis?" I asked her.
She shook her head. "She went with them."
"The whole group is out there."
I groaned and grabbed my hair. "Okay, can you go get Judith and meet me by the gates."
Enid nodded.
I called a meeting and everyone who was left gathered around. I began to speak when I heard one of the gaurds yell. "They're here!" He yelled.
I instantly opened the gates. I ran towards Carl and he pushed me back. "Ellie, we need to talk." He said. "No." I hugged him. "I thought something bad happened to you guys."
Carl pulled away again. "Daryls gone." He looked at me.
I looked around and noticed he wasn't there. I felt the tears began to rise.
The group brought me to Ricks house and sat me down. "Ellie, we trust you. But, we need to ask you some questions."
I nodded and gave them a confused glance.
Rick handed me a half of a picture. I remember that picture I pulled out my half and put them next to each other.
It was My mom laying in a hospital bed. Daryl was holding me. Merle was next to him, he was looking down at something.
I never knew what he was looking at. Before today, the picture was ripped where my dad was. But, today, I saw my dad holding another baby. My mouth hung open. "There were two babies." I looked up.
"Your mother left with you and he got the other." Rick said.
"Do you remember his name?"
"Or the other baby?" Michonne stepped in.
I thought for a moment.
I was in a closet and I felt someone else next to me. We were giggling and I turned. She had my face and I put my finger on my lips. She nodded and I heard a loud voice. "I wonder where my two munchkins are." He said looking around. I saw his face through the blinds.
"They wouldn't be in the closet would they?" He said walking towards us.
We giggled again and he opened the door. He faked roared and we screamed. He grabbed us and lifted us off the ground. "Ughh." He stood up straight. "You two are getting so big." He tickled us. My mom walked into the room and grabbed me.
"I think its time for a nap." She said.
My dad frowned. "Hanna we're playing." He glared at her.
"Negan." She threatened with her voice. "Anna gets cranky when she doesn't nap." My mom took me to a bed. I laid down and Anna was put in the one across from mine. I heard my parents fight as they walked into the living room.
"Ellie?" Anna rolled over.
"What?" I looked at her.
"Do you think mommy and daddy love each other?" She asked.
I thought and shrugged. "I hope so."
I snapped out of the thought and looked down. "Negan and Anna." I touched the two. Rick slammed his hands down. Carl looked hurt. "He's going to take her." Carl sighed. "Who?" I asked confused.
"Negan is your father." Rick said.
"And Anna is your twin sister."
I shook my head. "Negan as in-"
They nodded.
After explaining to me all the drama that happened, I went home and laid in Daryls room. I held on to his pillow that he had and squeezed it. I hoped that he was still alive and I sighed. I grabbed my note book and started the entry.
