"Hyung you can't do this to Jihoon, it's his birthday, do you know how sad he'll be, at least be here even for a couple of hours" Jungkook grumble, scratching with his pen irritated "_________ God hyung but he's your son, he's your priority, I can't believe you two" He clenches his fist gritting "FINE DO WHATEVER YOU WANT" He hang up the call groaning loudly
"They're not coming?" Jimin ask, feeling pity for the little boy
Jungkook shake his head burying his face into his hands and groaning again "God I fucking hate them so much"
"Calm down, he has you right?" Jimin smile softly trying to comfort the younger
"Do you think I'll be enough for him, he didn't see them for like three months now" Jungkook's expression twist with pain "He's calm and quiet but I can see it Jimin, I can see the hurt in his eyes and I can't handle this, I can't bear seeing the tears in his eyes"
Jimin sigh shaking his head "I really don't know what to say Jungkook"
"How am I going to tell him that his parents won't come to his birthday? What should I do to make him forget that his parents are not interested in being part of his birthday?"
"Jungkook listen to me, calm down first huh?" Jimin walk around the desk, sitting on the edge and caressing his hair "We'll find some way ok? I promise you Jihoon will have the best birthday party in his entire life"
"How? Do you have any idea? Jimin it's two weeks from now, I don't want any other disappointment" Jungkook look up at him
"Did I ever disappoint you?"Jimin beam cupping his cheek lovingly "Taehyung will help us, he understand kids the most, you have to trust him on this"
Jungkook's heart flutter at the mention of the teacher; Taehyung was around often, with Jihoon or with Jimin, it's been two months since he know him and the teacher already took a place in his life and Jihoon's life and____ Jimin's life
Jungkook dropped his head down looking at nothing in specific; Taehyung is his friend, his good friend at least that what he was trying to convince himself with.
And Taehyung is so kind to Jihoon and that what warm his heart the most, Taehyung is the best at dealing with the kid, and with him Jihoon is an another person; cheerful and playful and noisy.
"I trust Taehyung" Jungkook mutter quietly before sighing "I trust him the most"
Jimin watches him for a while before smiling "Then it'll be fine"
Jungkook flinch looking up at him startled "I hope so, I really hope so"
Jimin's expression soften at the younger's troubled face, he tap his shoulder reassuring before sighing "It's tough on you too, I can see it" He smile down at him "Between Hyerin and the work and Jihoon and____" Jimin pauses contemplating if he should say it or no but he shrug it off ruffling the younger's hair "It must be really hard on you too"
"Hyerin was always like this, she never thought of anyone but herself, I'm really getting tired of this" Jungkook mumble missing the way Jimin studied him
"We should go back to work" Jimin stand lazily yawning tiredly "I think of having dinner with Taehyung and Hoseok hyung later on, care to join?"
Jungkook stiffen keeping his eyes down; it's always the same irritation and anger whenever he knew that Jimin and Taehyung are going out, he didn't ask what's their relationship, he didn't want to know and he'll never want to know
He just want it to stay like this; Taehyung is just a friend, a good friend
"No Jimin, I've too much work" He mumbles fixing his eyes on the screen of his laptop
You coward; Jimin smile faintly before turning away chirping "Whatever you want Kookie"
Yeah whatever I want Jungkook sigh slamming his head to the desk; he's so tired, so drained and everything is just so much for him......
"Taehyung stop, I'm not your rag doll" Yoongi snap trying to shove the other off him
"Hyuung" Taehyung whine burying his face into Yoongi's neck, to be honest he want to cry right now but he didn't want to cry in front of his hyung, Yoongi will whip his ass if he cried
"Taehyung just tell me ok?" Yoongi sigh turning to look at the younger "You want to tell me something, just tell me, you never hesitated before"
Taehyung chew his lips in anxious; could he really say it out loud? Could he tell someone about it?
"Nothing" Taehyung pulled away, walking toward his bedroom not sparing the confused man a look
"What the fuck just happened?" Yoongi cocked his head to the side startling when the front door slammed open
"HYUNG I'M HOME" Hoseok shout making Yoongi wince
"The fuck? Why are you here? Are you living here? You should pay the rent with us" He grimace fixing his clothes "I'm leaving for work, Taehyung is in his bedroom" He walk toward the door before pausing glancing to Hoseok "He's acting weird again, I don't know what's wrong with him so try to understand something ok?"
"Ok hyung" Hoseok beam waving to him "Work hard Yoongi-ah"
Yoongi roll his eyes before waving muttering "Bye"
Hoseok stare at the door silently before taking in a deep breath "Someday, one day, when the time comes__" He beam brightly yelling "Taetae baby, I'm here, your sun and moon, your lucky charm, your fairy"
Taehyung opened the door staring at Hoseok "Hyung why are you here?"
Hoseok roll his eyes clicking his tongue "Seriously, you two should've used to see me here" He bounce excitedly "I'm here for you baby"
Taehyung frown at him arching a brow up "Hyung just tell me that you're here for Yoongi hyung but he's out for work, so I'm sorry"
Hoseok's expression fall into a sad pout, all his brightness fade away "He's the dumbest person ever"
"Just tell him already" Taehyung sigh in boredom "I really can't help you with Yoongi hyung, he has the most complicated mind in this entire world"
"I know, it's so hot" Hoseok squeal, smiling dreamy
"Ewwww stop fantasizing about my hyung in front of me" Taehyung grimace, fishing his phone out of his pocket and furrowing his brows at the caller "Jiminie hey____ now?? I don't know" He look up at Hoseok asking "Do you want to eat dinner out hyung?" Hoseok nod and Taehyung sigh "Ok Jimin, Hoseok hyung is in umm__ is Jungkook joining us?"
"No Tae, I invited him but he doesn't want to leave Jihoon alone"
"Really? Why? Something wrong?" He ask rubbing his neck nervously
"Jihoon's parents won't come to his birthday and Jungkook is so angry about it, I don't know, I feel sorry for him but I can't do anything for the both of them"
"Uh is that so?" Taehyung frown in thinking before mumbling "What if we buy dinner and we join them Jimin, that way they won't stay alone, what do you think?" He look up at Hoseok too who shrug
"TAEHYUNGIE MY LOVE" Jimin screech making a kisses sounds "I swear I'll kiss when I see you, I'm on my way"
"Ewww the fuck?" Taehyung laugh at the phone, brushing his hair back sighing
"I know" Hoseok say plopping down on the couch
"What?" Taehyung gaze at him in question and Hoseok grin slowly winking at him
"Ta—dahhh" Jimin pop in front of Jungkook beaming startling him
"Jimin??" He mumble in surprise flinching when two faces appeared suddenly
"SURPRISE" Taehyung and Hoseok shout shoving past him and striding inside
Jungkook frown in his place looking at the door then looking back inside where the three men standing
"Are you going to stand there? Come in" Hoseok chirp grinning
"Where is Jihoon?" Taehyung ask
"He's in his room, he didn't want to get out" Jungkook sigh ruffling his hair
"Tskkkk" Taehyung scrunch his nose scolding "You're hopeless Jungkook aigo" He hop on toward the stairs chirping "Jihoon-ah guess who's here"
Jungkook blink at the man before looking back at an amused Jimin and Hoseok "Why are you here? I thought you were going out"
"We brought dinner here" Hoseok smile warmly
"Taehyung suggested and we tug along" Jimin motion to him to join them "You didn't eat yet right?"
"Jihoon didn't want to eat and I don't have appetite to be honest" Jungkook mutter
"Now we'll all eat, don't worry" Jimin beam pinching his cheek "Smile Kookie, everything will be ok"
"emmm" He hum leaning to the wall looking at the stairs "I don't think Jihoon will come down tho"
"Let Taehyung take care of it" Hoseok poke his side grinning "Help us with plates, run tiger"
"Tiger??" Jungkook furrow his brows weirded out by the elder
"It's Taehyung's favorite animal" Hoseok giggle before slapping his shoulder "Come on, move it"
Taehyung did succeed in making the kid join them on the dinner, grinning and laughing at Taehyung and Hoseok's silly acts.
And Jungkook did have fun, he couldn't be more thankful for them, especially Taehyung; his bright cute personality was a gift and his adorable grin manages to pull Jihoon out of his shell...
He stare at Taehyung's smiley face, no matter how much he look at him, the teacher gets prettier and prettier each time
He snap out, looking down at his empty plate; why is he being like this? He shouldn't look at Taehyung like that, Taehyung is a man and he's his friend, how could he even dare?
"Jungkook you still hungry? You want me to give you more?" Jimin ask, peering at his face
"No Jimin, I'm full, thank you" Jungkook look up at Jihoon saying fondly "Jihoon-ah aren't you sleepy? Want me to put you to bed?"
"It's still early" Jihoon pout pressing to Taehyung's side
"But you've to sleep early, come on baby, let's brush our teeth first and go to bed" Jungkook walk toward him leaning to kiss his cheek "Say good night to our friends"
"Good night" Jihoon smile cutely, raising his arms for Jungkook to carry him
"Taehyung where is the others?" Jungkook join the teacher after awhile to find him sitting on the couch alone watching something on the tv
"They're in the kitchen, they wanted coffee and apparently, your maid can't make a good coffee, I'm fine with it to be honest, it's a coffee anyway" Taehyung mumble, eyes still fixated on the tv "Is he asleep?"
"Yes, he slept immediately" Jungkook sat next to him "What are you watching?"
"Nothing in special, I'm just going through channels, nothing interesting, I wanted to watch movie but Hoseok hyung doesn't like horror movies and he's really noisy anyway, if he watch an horror movie he'll wake up the whole neighborhood......"
Jungkook stare at him silently, trying to keep up with the fast flow of words; is Taehyung nervous or is he imagining stuff? Like what the hell? He's talking nonstop and without even looking at him
"Are you ok?" Jungkook whisper blinking at the other
"Huh what did you say?" Taehyung look at him with wide eyes
So cute it hurts Jungkook melt, smiling unconsciously "Nothing, I just wanted to thank you"
Taehyung flinch blushing faintly "uh to me?? Why?" He turn his face again to the tv mumbling "I didn't do anything, Hoseok hyung paid for the dinner and____ Jimin too, I didn't do anything__"
"Thank you for coming here, for suggesting to come here" Jungkook interrupt him smiling wider this time, he couldn't help it; Taehyung was so cute "Jimin told me it was your idea"
"Ahhhhhh for that" Taehyung blink at the tv before looking back at Jungkook "He told me, about Jihoon's parents I mean"
"He did" Jungkook lean back flashing a small dull smile to him "It's ok, you shouldn't feel sorry for us"
"It's not that I feel sorry for you or anything" Taehyung frown clenching his fists "It's just____" He turn his body to sit crossed legged facing Jungkook "I'm so angry right now you know, not to be rude or anything but your brother and his wife need to reflect upon their priorities in life like how could they leave a little kid like this alone also he need his parents love I mean you're doing everything you can but a kid in his age need a parent's care also also how could they live their lives away from their child I can't believe it also also also he must be feeling so bad right now, he's a kid, he's so small and weak and___ no offense but your brother and wife are so cruel___ no offense___ uh___ why are you laughing? What's so funny?" Taehyung frown looking at Jungkook's scrunched face
The light chuckle turn into a full laugh, Jungkook wipe the wetness from his eyes, breaking into another fit of giggle "No offense taken" He manage to breathe out through laughter
Taehyung squirm a little pouting and looking at the still laughing Jungkook; he couldn't look away, it was a rare occasion when Jungkook laughed like this, mostly when Jihoon was around but now he can stare at that handsome face relaxed and bright.....
"Sorry but you__ you__" Jungkook chuckle shaking his head "I mean it's the truth" He take a deep breath trying to control himself "You sure was holding too much back, you vent your heart out"
"I'm just__ it's unfair" Taehyung mumble looking down at his hands in his lap
"I know" Jungkook smile softly looking at the precious beautiful man across of him "I don't know what to do, I'm helpless at this point"
"They should know what they're missing" Taehyung mutter quietly "I mean I know they're working hard and stuff but their kid is the most important thing"
"I know, i tried to tell him this but__" Jungkook shrug leaning his head back "I'm losing any hope"
"I saw many kids like Jihoon before, I mean many people will pay their lives to have children but some parents are just so ignorant" He gasp putting his hands on his mouth "I'm sorry___ I didn't__"
Jungkook laugh again fondly, staring at Taehyung's face "No it's ok, they're indeed ignorant and careless and so selfish"
Taehyung dart his eyes down clasping his hands together "It must be really hard on him and on you too"
Jungkook stare at him silently, suddenly too content just by hearing someone's voice, someone's words talking to him gently and caringly, leaning his head back and looking at the man, he mumble quietly "I'm feeling bad for Jihoon, I'm his uncle, I was there since he was a one month old so why are you- a complete stranger- feeling this much anger and sadness toward a kid you just knew since two months?"
Taehyung looked up at him, meeting Jungkook's intense gaze; his heart race in his chest failing to keep the eye contact, he look down again, nibbling at his lips before licking it "Jihoon is a kid, he deserve all the happiness in this world, every kid in this world deserve love and care; true I know Jihoon only for two months now but he's cute smart innocent and I can't see him hurting and stay aside"
Jungkook's expression soften feeling every inch in his body melting "You sure love kids so much"
"I do" Taehyung smile fiddling with the sleeve of his hoodie "I lost my parents when I was six and one of my relatives adopted me, I was a lonely kid most of the time and I really know how it feels to be left alone" He giggle looking up at him "I was lucky enough to meet Yoongi hyung, he was my neighbor at that time and he stick around, he was like a big brother to me"
"He seems like a good man" Jungkook comment, still staring at Taehyung, taking in every expression and details
"He is, hyung is the best" Taehyung grin nodding "He was a saver to me and you're the saver for Jihoon, don't worry about anything, I'll make the best birthday for him"
Jungkook grin back muttering "Thank you Taehyung, thank you so much"
Taehyung's heart flutter blushing faintly under Jungkook's gentle eyes "It's ok, it's nothing"
Jungkook finally snaps away, digging his fingers into his thighs; he like Taehyung, he just like him because he's so cute and everything he do is so fucking endearing and precious; that's all, he just like his company and friendship. He swallow thickly ignoring his trembling heart "You're a really good friend"
Taehyung froze blinking at his hands fast, coldness grip harshly at his heart but he forces a grin looking up at him and nodding "Sure I'm happy we're friends"
Jungkook avoid his eyes and face; choosing to look at the tv:
Friends is the easiest explanation to Jungkook, friends is the best excuse for Jungkook to keep Taehyung close without thinking too much in his strange feelings toward him, friends is the strongest shield for Jungkook to protect himself from Taehyung's sweetness and kindness.....
Since he met Taehyung and his whole world change, he don't know why and he don't want to know why..... cause it scare him, it terrify him; everything about his feelings toward the other freaks the fuck out of him
He never felt this confused, this frightening about something before, Taehyung scare him, not as a person but with what he make him feel
Taehyung is harmless, so cute and kind but the mix of emotions that comes with him being close or even away are threatening Jungkook's life
He never felt this way before even with his girlfriend..... And it scares him and shock him..
"We're back" Hoseok chirp striding toward them with Jimin following him with a frown "We made coffee and popcorn and your maid want to leave the job"
Jungkook snap out of his trance looking up at the two men "What? Why???"
"She's so annoying" Jimin grumble huffing "So what if we made a little mess in the kitchen" He plop down next to Taehyung completing "It's not that bad, she need to thank god Taehyung didn't go with us"
"Yah why me?" Taehyung whine reaching for the popcorn
"I owe you a kiss" Jimin drawl leaning toward him
"Go away" Taehyung sigh pushing him back
"You want to"
"Leave him alone Jimin, you don't want to face Yoongi hyung's anger" Hoseok chuckle
They fall into an argument missing Jungkook's tensed body, he stand up muttering "I'll check up on Jihoon"
It's easy to pretend, it's easy to ignore but it's not easy to handle this irritation and annoyance and rage every fucking time he see Taehyung with someone
Friends don't feel like this toward each other; he stops in front of Jihoon's room letting out a stuttered breath; what's going on with him?
