Chapter 2| The case of the infamous hold up.

I hopped out of my car in the parking lot and spoke loudly into the phone, as I grabbed the tray of Coffee's.
"Ma', Ill be over sunday for dinner. I promise. I just been busy settling into my new office and new apartment." They had rebuilt on the basement and we all have our own office. We all furnished the place and Zues brought a deckedout Computer and Projector setup inside the Layout Area, we all have our own chairs so when the case come in we are ready. We have linked phones, Ipads, and Bug for our ears. Hell, it all happened because we solved a case and the government dont like losing their money.
I pressed the elevator doors and I stepped on. As the doors closed,I heard, Alore screaming, "Hold it." I put my free hand in the way of the doors and it opened back up. In walked Alore, Savi, Zues, and Kali. They all went to grabbing a coffee from the Starbucks tray and Savi said, "Thanks man, Capt. Reign is tripping with this no coffee machine rule." Kali sipped the coffee and did a little dance. We all laughed and she said,"What? I needed this." She pressed the B for basement button and walked to towards the back of the elevator where them doors looked familiar to the day we came here last week. Zeus installed a new passcode button on this door, so we dont have to wait to open it from the other side. He typed in the seven digits and the doors opened. We walked in and Capt. Reign came running down the red carpet and said, "In the layout area now. We have an active case."
"Active as in its happening now?" I asked and he said, "Yea, we recieved a call from a cook on a Yacht in the middle of the ocean saying, "it has been a hostage takeover."
Kali sipped her coffee and said, "And who is on this boat?" We all took a seat and Zues walked over and pressed a few buttons on a keyboard and Captain Reign said,"150 retired F.B.I agents, but the cook said that only the lunch room is being held for hostage and a party of 10 was in there."
Zues responded, "Okay, we cant narrow these 150 faces down, because everyone of them have one billion enemies."
Alore added, "Dont the ship have like an internary of whats going on today. Maybe that lunch is on it and can share some detail about what ten retired FBI agents are in there." Zues gasped, "Hold up." He went to typing away and I looked at Captain Reign and he said, "A helicopter is being sent by my boss as we speak to take yall to go handle this. Be ready." Savi pulled out his gun and said, "Im ready."
I said, "Where is this boat located?"
"Off Crew Island. About 20 miles west."
"Well, I want you to get us boat. I peeped it said Ambition Cruise line. Their Lunch areas are on the top floor. If we pull up on a scene in a damn copter they will know they have been tipped off and start killing people. Do we have contact with that cook?"
"Not as far as I know. The Audio cut off after he said how many people are there."
Kali said, "how long ago was that call?"
"35 Minutes ago?" He told her. She said, "Maybe its for ransom. Ransom calls are usually an hour after it begun. If it was about revenge, The cruise would have been--"
Zeus cut her off, "I hacked into the Cruise mainframe. The internary doesnt show a lunch for todays plans, however, I maybe able to hack into a-wait. Look." He pressed a button and the cameras from the cruise on each of its wall projected into the room of the lunch room.
"Any Audio, Dexter?" Savi and I asked at the same time. We shared a look and I stood up as Zues responded, "No." I said, "Run this video through facial recognintion."
It was ten mature or older people lined up against the back wall and 4 masked men in all black with AK-47's.
A message popped up on the screen, "One face recognised. Artie Jones. Retired FBI agent. 53. Its his birthday today."
"So I take it this lunch was for him. We need to get a move on. Zues, you stay here and do some research on his cases and what can cause a Hostage type situation to take place. Savi, your arm is okay?" I explained.
"Hell yea. I aint staying back." He snapped.
"Well, lets go. Kali and Alore get ready girls. Captain, where is that Helicopter to atleast take us to the pier." Alore said. He pulled out his phone and replied, "On the roof." As we walked towards the elevator, Zues said, "Put your bugs in ill keep you updated on the camera feeds."

We stepped off the helicopter and ran for the Dock. My hair blew all in the wind as I took a deep breath and stepped into the small speedboat. I exhaled and sat down in the middle seat. Jacob looked at me and asked, "You okay?"
Zues spoke into all of our ears, "Yes, Im good. No one has been shot, however the cook has been found and is now on the wall with the rest of them." I shook my head yes to Jacob, as he was talking to me when asking was I okay. I just hate the ocean.
Savi turned on the engine and we took off. Kali asked, "Zues, how is that search of cases going on for Artie Jones?"
"This guy has been in lnvolved in over 1000 cases. I want to narrow the search, but dont wont to filter the cases and overlook the one we need or that pops out."
Savi stated, "Dexter, search for cases in where Artie Jones may have killed someone. This type of thing happens when someone love one is taken from them. Hit us back up once you find something." I looked over at Kali and she smirked. Savi is the only one to get Zeus more focused or into it more. I think there is something going on that they dont even know. I spotted the Red and Green boat and said, "Slow up, I see the boat. Wrap around, because the Captain wont be able to see us. If we are facing him we will be helped up." He slowly went toward the front of the boat and a brown ladder dropped from the top. I smirked and Jacob said, "I want to know how you figure all this out."
|25 Minutes later|
"We are with the RED division of the FBI-"
The captain said, "I know. I recieved a call from a Zues Blackman informing me. Why wasnt I contacted by the FBI an hour ago?."
I told him, "Sir, that would have caused you to panic and have to evac the boat. Causing the hostage takeover to go very bad and those men to kill all those people in that lunch room. Now this way--" Suddenly, screams erupted from the boat left of us and Jacob snapped, "Captain, whats this way?"
"Pools and Amusement." He said as we pulled out our guns and we ran down the white painted tile floor. and we looked out the doubledoor and seen everyone lining up on the rails of the boat. It was two of the gun men.
I snapped,"Zeus what the hell happened?"
He confessed, "I took my eyes away from the screen for a minute and the room tried to ambush the men and it turned deadly. Everyone was shot dead, except Artie and one other man. They was drug out to the pool deck and now they have taken hold of the entire top deck. Dont worry about the bottom floors, I emergency locked all the doors."
The captain heard him and said, "He could control my boat from off the cruise."
We all responded, "He is Dexter."
Savi asked, "How is the case search going?"
"It narrowed down to about 30 cases. He killed alot of people , im weeding through these now. Give me a minute."
Savi snapped, "These people dont have a damn minute." Savi was harsh yet right. I quickly without thinking stripped down to my bra and panties. Jacob eyes grew big and I said, "Dont act like yall never seen a great body before." I roughed up my hair and threw my badge to Kali. I placed my gun behind me stuffef in the lining of my panties. I pushed the door opened and spotted a white towel and wrapped myself in it. Suddenly, one gun man noticed me and snapped,"You, Fall in line now or we are going start shooting."
I fake cried out, "Please dont shoot me." I scurried over to the rail and stood next to an old man who was bleeding from his head. I whispered, "Mr. Artie Jones?" He exhaled, "Yes, how do you know me?"
"Im with the FBI, my team and I are here to save you guys." I informed him.
"He killed my wife and close friends. The one who just spoke to you. Im going to kill him." He said with such hate in his voice.
I whispered in response, "We need your help with this. Why are they doing this? Did they say anything that stuck out to you."
"He just told me as he shot my wife that I will feel how he felt when I wiped his whole family out. I been trying to put a face to the voice and situation, but I cant." He cried out.
I said, "Zues, did you hear that?"
"Yes I did, but dont tell me you have put yourself in the situation, Alore. But what he said I got something, finally--" He cleared his throat and spotted them finally lining up the last few people on the deck.
"A case in 09', Artie Jones walked into and ambushed a hostage situation dealing with the Mob. Resulting in the men killing 5 children and the wife of Harold Jobs. Harold have been off the grid since it happened. However, I was wondering how did he even get on the boat? I reviewed the cameras in the Lunchroom and he was smuggled in by a deepfreezer. He is working with the Cook, Chef, and waiter. The cook tried to call to throw us off. The cook is one of the mask man."
"So the cook isnt dead in that room?" I asked and Artie said, "He the one who came from the back later during the hostage situation." My eyes grew big and said, "Okay, um shit."
The main guy, Harold, started speaking, "Everyone look at this man over here with the bloody head. He let the Mob murdered my wife and kids in a mall store trying to save them. Now I came on this boat to murder him for what he did. However, Im feeling so great heres what we are about to do. I am going to kill someone every ten minutes. Only way to make it stop is for one of you resourceful motherfuckers to get us a Helicopter with 10 Million dollars on it. And if yall try anything slick, we will kill everyone."
I whispered,"Jacob, we need to do something and quick. Contact Captain and lace him up with this information. Atleast have the helicopter come hanging over--" I was cut off by one of the gun man snapping at me, "Aye, who are you talking to?" My heart stopped and two of them pointed their guns at me and in that split second, I nearly shitted myself.
The main gunman, who we think is Harold Jobs, snapped, "Barbie doll in the towel, step foward." I slowly walked up shaking and gave Artie a slight nod to not try anything.
"You look a little young to be on a retirement ship?" He asked.
"Well, you seem a little crazy to be on here too, but lets skip the formalities. If you should know Im a worker on here like 3 of you are. I dropped the towel and pulled my gun out and pointed it to one of them.
"Harold, the gig is up. Surrender or be taken down." I snapped. They all ripped off their masks and he laughed, "You will be dead, before you pull the trigger."
I shrugged my shoulder and said, "Maybe, but I have someone on my team who shot is pretty great. So All five of us will be dead, but these innocent people will be safe. Look I get it, I know how it feels to have someone that means alot to you taken away. When I was 12, my mother and father was killed by this man at our winter cabin in Hoboken. I felt life I had no other reason to live--" A tear fell from my eyes and one did from his.
He replied, "That son of a bitch dont even remember it. Like my wife and children was a piece of shit. Thats why I killed his wife personally."
"So you wanna kill him?" I asked.
"Yup, but I wanna kill everyone around him first, so he could feel the pain I felt. Having the people who matter most to you taken away from him in front of him." He explained.
Artie cried out behind me, "You killed my wife intentionally. You killed my friends intentionally. You are a murderer, just like those mob men were. I actually thought I will be able to save them and kill the guys. I know it hurts and it took me so many years to freaking cope with that day."
Harold snapped, "Shut the fuck up!" He moved his gun from me pointed to him and I stepped back in the way, causing the double door to open and Jacob, Savi, and Kali came out with their guns pointing it at the guys." I motioned my hands for them to chill out.
"Harold, think about this. Atleast let these people go. Then we can talk about getting you off this boat. I have someone to unlock the doors and we can escort these people off the topdeck. You arent a bad person, you are someone who just got dealt a bad hand." I explained to him.
He snapped, "Everyone can go, except Artie."
"Okay-Zues unlock the doors."
Kali yelled, "EVERYONE EXIT TO THE LEFT AND STAY IN YOUR CABINS." Everyone went to running off and taking cover. Just as everyone finished, I looked and seen everyone still pointing their guns. Artie charged at Harold and the bullets went to exiting Harold AK47 chamber and hitting Artie abdomen and Savi shot and killed one of Harold man. We all ran and took cover behind the Cabana cart. I exhaled, "Zues lock the doors back."
Zues didnt reply,Jacob said, "We have to kill them. Savi and Kali you go left and we shoot right--NOW!" We all came up and shot at them. We hit the other two quick, but Harold was nowhere to be found. Suddenly, we looked up and seen a Helicopter flying over us and a dropped ladder.
Jacob snapped, "Captain really giving this man an escape plan."
Savi retorted, "Let him go up there and Ill blow the damn helicopter."
I looked at him and argued, "That makes you no better than Artie. If you do that , the driver will be killed. Another innocent life gave for a life of evilness. Let him go, we will catch him another way-Zues, track the chopper." We looked up and he was half climbing up the ladder and it started flying away.
Savi snapped, "Dexter where the fuck are you? You have ten seconds and Im taking down that chopper."
Jacob replied, "We have to, Alore. We cant let him get away with this."

Harold sat down and said, "Fly this shit to the nearest place west and if you get me there fast, I wont kill you. Where is my money?"
The pilot pointed to the black duffel bags packed in the corner of the Helicopter. Harold walked over and opened the back and seen a timer that said ten seconds. He looked up at the pilot and Zues showed his face and shot Harold in the leg and opened his door and jumped off and went diving into the water. Savi and Jacob went to cocking their guns back as they seen Zues falling into the water right before the Helicopter blew up into flames.
Kali and Alore said, "Was that Dexter?"
|1 Hour Later|

We all stood at the dock watching the people get off the boat as A speedboat pulled up with Zues on it. I helped him up and Alore hugged him and said, "What the hell, Zues? Savi and Jacob was about to shoot that chopper down. Why the hell did you decide to play Savior again?"
"If you would like to know, I actually was happy in the comforts of my computer, but Reign bosses said they needed someone to fly the Helicopter and I said Why not." He explained. I chimed in, "Good job. Drinks on me tonight at Pasties."
Kali laughed, "And thanks for the compliment back there, about my shooting."
Alore gasped and joked, "Oh, I was talking about Savi." We all laughed and we all hopped into the Rangerover. About 25 minutes later, we pulled up in front of Pasties. Kali, Zues, and Savi hopped out and just before Alore, I grabbed her arm and stopped her. She looked back at me and I said, "Im sorry about your parents. My Dad died in a bank situation when I was a teen."
She smirked, "Im sorry to here that, but that story was a play with Harold emotions and would have worked if he aint go off the handle. My parents are in South Jersey as we speak." I chuckled, "Bad girl." We walked slowly up to the bar door and she said, "Jacob, who decision it was to come out those doubledoors when you did?"
"Savi. He said we needed to show you had backup. If it was up me, I wanted to go out there right after you did, but Kali said that would have been wreckless."
"Aww, you care about me. I will take that with a grain a salt." She said. I laughed,"Oh and why is that?"
"Because, I dont let no one in. My motto have always been, let no one in and no one gets hurt." She said as she opened door and we walked in. Kali yelled, "ABOUT TIME! Get over here you two." They handed us our shot glasses and we threw it back.
Savi said, "Zeus, take one. It will put hair on your chest."
Zues replied, "its okay. I like my chest hairless." Savi picked Zues up and laid him across the bar table and held his arms. I grabbed the shot and Alore cupped his mouth and we pour the shot down his mouth. He came up for air and said, "I think im going to be drunk."
"Its going to take more than that." I said while hitting his back.
I wanna dance with somebody by Whitney Houston came on. And Kali jumped up, "Oh my god, this is my jam--I wanna dance oh yea." She grabbed Zeus hand and went to the dance floor.
Alore stood up and ran over to the mic on stage and started singing, "Clock strikes upon the hour and the sun begans to fade. Still enough to figure out how to chase my blues awayyy. Ive done alright up til now, its the light of day that shows me how. So when the night falllsss my loneliness calls."
Savi laughed, "oh damn, she knows how to sing. You better get her before someone else does." I looked at him and said, "Like who, you?" He laughed, "Nah, I have my eyes on another beauty." I stared at Kali and Zues dancing and I said, "Yea, Kali is sexy man." He replied, " I wasn-" Our phones went to ringing off and it was Captain Reign.
I answered and he stated, "Get to the office now."
We all stepped out the elevator and Capt. Reign stood in the layout area and said, "We have a problem?"
"Oh yea and whats that?" I asked.
He cleared his throat and said, "Harold Jacobs body was not found in 100 miles radius of the water. 50% chance he got away. He will be found, dead or alive. The good part is that you saved all those people today."
"So was today a success in the end?" Alore asked.
Zues stated, "Hell yea. R.E.D succeeded today. Believe that."
