After we discovered about the sea monster, we decided to gather more information regarding this and the place to do is none other than, the Adventurer Guild of the town, Blue Wave Guild.
When we enter the guild, same what we saw outside, it is a bit deserted.
The receptionist saw us and greeted us as we went inside.
"Konnichiwa. How may I help you, young ladies?"
Jasmine, whose role as our spokesperson since last time, approach her. "We are an adventurer from Kamdet Guild. We're just curious about the sea monster, oneesan can you explain more about this to us?"
The receptionist sigh then melancholy looks. "It's been almost a year since the Kraken first attack the fishermen and other vessels. You might know bit about our town and specialty and our town being one of the major port of the kingdom".
We nodded. Yes, there is three major ports in the kingdom's border and this town is one of them. In Valkhyne fief also has one of the major port, the Green Reef Town.
"Since the attack, aside from decreasing of captured fish products, the products that we export, the imported goods can't also enter the town. They stop exchanging products with us because of the danger in our sea area" She sighs, "Our rank A adventurers and above is in their own mission and can't come back for another four to five months so we have no choice but to ask help to other guilds yet they also told us that their rank A adventurer and above either don't want to accept this mission because it is too dangerous for a sea battle or they are on their own mission."
Then she softly smiles at us, "But don't worry about this since you girls can't fight against the Kraken like the adults. Life is more important than anything."
Michelle mumbles. "Not because they can't, it means we can't"
We ignore her as we continue to ask the receptionist that we learned her name is Aiko.
Because of decreasing food stocks in the town, some of the town people are leaving temporarily or permanent. Not only don't they have fresh fish but also import goods (through sea) which mean that the merchants who came through land took the advantage to raise the price especially the fish and other sea foods.
Now, most adventurers from rank C and above also choose to leave the town which is now the result. Sigh.
We take a sit and order some juice as we plan our next moves.
"What should we do now? Kraken is not just some random basic monster that we can defeat like goblins. It is one of the kings in the sea! And with our poor ability, we can't fight it and even approach it" Dianne is obviously frustrated about this quest
"What if we use Aria's power and make an ice to walk on water?" Michelle suggested
"Stupid" Jasmine scoff at her, "Summer is approaching which is technically hot that will easily melt the ice. And Aria is not some sort of God with unlimited mana and besides, she just breakthrough into Yellow Mage. Continuously using her power will only deplete her MP especially we, mage, has a very low stamina. That makes you, Levi, and your suggestion 'stupid'"
"Etto, how about we try to look for some small airship? We cannot fight on sea but we can fight on air" Coleen suggested
"Hmmm... you have a point there, Clay but where we can look for an airship in short time?" Dianne asked.
"I... I can ask my father for this"
"No, you can't. Once you requested your father, our parents will surely know what we are up to" I immediately rejected her idea, "Remember that most of you did not get any permission from your parents to become an adventurer and asking your father will lead them on knowing about this"
Michelle shoulder slump as she felt dejected without having to come up any idea at all. "Then what should we do now?"
"I don't feel like running away without trying"
"Same here. I want to try this even knowing how dangerous it is"
"Ano, Aria-chan do you have any idea?"
"......." Tanya closed her eyes and crossed her arms. "We can't use any types of ships since the kraken will only destroy it at first sight. Using ice is also impossible and airship is also rejected" we nodded at her and she opened her eyes and glance at me, "Do you have any suggestion, Miu?"
My mouth twitches when she asked me. I thought she comes up with any idea since her attitude is saying 'I-Am-Cold-Yet-I-Know-What-To-Do' yet she'll only ask me. Sigh. What kind of group it is?

I closed my eyes as I tried to recall any anime, manga and novel that I can remember that got the chance to fight a sea monster, kraken.
When I remember something, my eyes lit up and look at them. "I am not sure if it is possible but we can use the plan an adventurer I know who also use this to fight a kraken"
"Really?"
"That's great, Miu-chan!"
"What plan did she use then?"
I smile. "Fishing. Blocking. Boiling"
"Huh?"
"What I mean is, she use some sort of bait and fish the kraken in a cliff. When that kraken took the bait, she immediately closed any escape route a kraken can use by blocking the route using earth magic and use fire magic to boil the kraken until it dies" I told them the idea Yuna-chan from Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear, a Japanese novel which I like to read in the past, used against the kraken.
"That's possible but we don't know where we can find any bait that a kraken likes to eat"
Michelle looks at me. "Is it the idea of Yuna use against kraken?"
"Yup"
"Then, it means we need to get a giant... w-worm?"
"Yup!"
Michelle face turn green like she'll vomit any minute now. Coleen saw her and asked in teary eyes, "Levi-chan, what's wrong with you?"
"I... I feel sick *Blargh*"
"Ewwwww!!!"
"Stupid Levi! Why did you vomit on *blargh* me"
"Yuck!!"
"Kyaaaahhh!!"

Don't ask me what happen next and what kind of scenario it is because it is sickening.
We learned Michelle's weakness because of this and this is only the positive thing we get from this.
After we took a shower for almost an hour just to erase the odor as well as to make sure that our body is really clean, we decided to look for a giant worm.
Since this afternoon, Michelle doesn't want to leave her room but Tanya forces her to come with us since she needed to resist and have immunity with her own weakness if she really wanted to be strong.
We have no idea where we can find the giant worm but with the help of Al (which I almost forgot his existence at all), we learned that there is a giant worm living in Green Forest which is near in Blue Wave Town.
We walk there for almost half a day before we reach the entrance of the Green Forest.
"We'll stop here for now to rest for the night before we enter tomorrow" Tanya said, "Night is more dangerous inside the forest and we don't know what kind of monsters are there"
We nodded in agreement and look for a flat space for us to rest for the night. Tanya gives us separated task and who and what time we will be on guard duty for the night.
Coleen and Michelle were the first one who will be on watch before midnight, then Tanya and Dianne until three a.m and then I and Jasmine's turn.
After we made a fire, Michelle and Dianne hunt a couple of horned rabbits for us to roast and eat.
At first, they were reluctant to eat beast meat since they are 'aristocrat' but due to the taste, which is better than the normal meat they were used to eat, they started to like beat meat.
Unlike commoners who can eat any types of foods, aristocrat and royal's believe in purity and cleanliness of food. The believe that beast and monster beast are unclean that will dirty their constitution, that's why, they only eat those common meat that humans in earth used to eat too like pork, beef, fish, and so on. But they do not know that the meat that they thought to be 'unclean' has a higher potential to help built the person's physical strength and can easily replenish lost MP.
It is easy to see that the commoners have a higher immunity in terms of illness (if they can afford to eat beast/monster meat) and endurance than those nobles who believe in this nonsense belief.
There are, of course, a couple of family in circle of nobility who doesn't believe in this nonsense belief and one of those family are mine and those in the military rank family like the family of Coleen because they got the chance to experience the benefits of eating this types of meat.
But even if this meat is not in the noble's preference, this meat is still expensive for common people. Most who likes to eat this and can afford to eat these delicacies are those rich merchants, adventurers, and other wealthy races and/or those people who has the ability to hunt them.
After we finished our meal, the girls take turns in taking a bath in a river near where we are by grouping us into two.
I am together with Coleen and Michelle. I laugh as I watch how Michelle bully Coleen as she (Michelle) groping her (Coleen) small chest who is now in tears.
Oh poor little rabbit, you're always bullied by Michie. Blame yourself for being the groups little and adorable rabbit.
While taking our bath, we heard sounds of ladies' giggling voices near us. We immediately alerted and even the two who was busy in teasing the other, immediately stop and holds their own weapon.
When we went to the sound of voices, we saw groups of nymphs playing in the river and we all sighs of relief.
We did not disturb them as we all know how wary the nymphs toward humans and that they are kind of aloof to other races except the fairies, elves, and dwarves.
When we get back at our camping site, we told the other girls about the nymphs so that they will not offend them and escape from fighting them.
Nymphs are natured spirits who were gentle creature yet they are violent once they acknowledge someone as their enemy and it will be hard to fight them since they were always in group and will never run away from battle unless one of you died. So, it is always a silent rule of not offending them.
After we finished on our night bath, I immediately went to my tent and slump on my futon to sleep.
I wake up from the sound of clashing swords and smell of blood in the middle of the night.
When I went to see what's happening, I saw groups of goblins attacking us.
The girls are already wide awake and on their own weapon and fighting the goblin.
By looking at them, I know how big their fighting and powers improvement especially Michelle.
Mage (mana) level, or so what they called (I have other called with this since I have different kinds of cultivation used to raise my power), of Michelle which from red to green is really an eye-opener. Maybe because she's also a reincarnated person, that's why she's also an OP character, a bonus for reincarnation in an otome game and having a second life.
If you can remember, Michelle has the lowest mana capacity among the five of them which is only 33% yet she's learning the secret of magic spell, her level jump up by not only two levels but three! Hos talented is she to do that? Maybe one of the reasons is because since small, she already trains her physical body which is a great help for mana capacity a.k.a stamina. She might be have no ability to use mana in martial arts and weapon fighting but it is still a great help for her to have more life insurance to create basic spells [a/n: I will explain more about mana and magic in the school arc] while fighting.
The second who has an amazing improvement is Tanya, on which, of course, is not surprising at all since she has 75% mana capacity in her awakening. And now, she is already in peak of yellow mage level from orange level.
The next one is Coleen who has 47% mana capacity and now; she's already a yellow mage level. Then Dianne who is in peak of orange mage level while Jasmine who is already 49% of orange mage level.
Our power, once known outside, will create a sensational and we will be acknowledge as a genius among geniuses.
The fight lasts for quarter of hour before all the remaining goblins died.
We received our loots from fighting them but the girls only look at it with disgust. Well, I can't deny it since the only thing we can get from fighting the goblins is either their weapons or monster core. The meat of goblins is poisonous and inedible but for poison master, goblins is one of good resources in creating poison because of their meat which we don't plan to touch.
We only took the goblins core before we prepare to leave this area. Monsters and beasts might come here because of the fighting sound and the bloody smell due to fight.
Tanya decided that since we're all wide awake and can no longer sleep (if we ever did a good place to rest), it is better to start our journey.
We all nod in agreement and enter the Green Forest to hunt down the giant worm as bait for kraken.
