Once she made it back to the village, she ran to her Pod and ran to her bed. She removed her pillow on her bed to reveal a picture of she and her mom that her dad had given her for her 15th Birthday. It was the only picture of her mother that she had. Poppy just sobbed at the picture. Branch finally came in. "Poppy what's wrong?!" He asked in concern. "King Gristle told me my mother might be alive!" She cried while staring at the picture. "OK well isn't that a good thing?" Branch asked. "I guess. I Just cant believe I've lived nearly 22 years of my life thinking she's gone." She replied, still sobbing. Branch sympathised with her. He knew what it was like to lose someone you loved dearly. But unlike Poppy, he remembers the exact moment it happened. Poppy has absolutely no memory of her mother what so ever. But he couldn't stand seeing her in such a state. Seeing her go grey in that pot was enough torture. "Well, why don't we go and find her?" Branch suggested. "I don't even know if she's alive!" Poppy replied. "Don't lose hope Poppy." He said cupping her chin. "She could be thinking of you right this very moment." He continued. Poppy smiled at him wiping the tears from her cheeks. "Thank you Branch but... I don't where she could be." She said depressingly. "Poppy, that's not a problem. Ever since you made me happy, I promised myself that I would return the favour in some way.
