I laid down a blanket before sitting down on it. Twan sat on it and turned to me.
"So what has the magnificent Inanna been living her life ?"
"It's decent. What about you ?"
"Pretty great. I met someone."
"And does the lucky man have a name ?"
"His name is Eric."
"And what does he look liek ?"
"He is about your height, but he has more muscles than me. I think he's from France. I think. But he's very aggressive but its great in bed." He smirked.
"Ew I don't want hear about your sex life also."
"Sex is great. You just have to try it."
"Yeah whatever." I said , grabbing my phone.
"Hey guys!"
I turned around to see Hannah with Lele and Klay.
"Lele!"
"Inanna!"
I got up and ran to her, giving her a tight hug.
"I missed you. How was Mexico ?"
"It was fantastic."
I was pulled roughly into a hug by Klay. I patted his back quickly before pulling away because Hannah was giving me a dirty look. I turned away from the scene back to Lele. I started talking to her about her trip to distract myself from Hannah's glare.
"Lele can you come here please ?"
"I'll be right back." She said, quickly, running over to Hannah. I turned around and sat down back at my towel. I looked over to see the whole group talking and laughing. I smiled at how bright Klay's smile was as he talked to Hannah.
I loved the way she made him feel but I hated why she did.
I got up and walked in the opposite direction from them as I heard Twan's camera clicking from afar. I put my wireless earbuds in my ears and played Nikki Flores's Canary.
So much for happy endings

I stared at the waves to my right as I turned off my earbuds and shoved them in my pocket. If anything, I was just like them. I was floating to same different shores , letting people use me for short term enjoyment. At the end of the day, trash was left floating inside of me as I held everybody's waste. I wasn't gonna be able to be fixed because no one really sees the call for help as the animals die from everyone's forgetfulness.

I turned to see Klay with Twan's camera. He smiled and lower the camera.
"Beautiful."
"I wish." I muttered with a blush. Twan stuck his hand out and Klay gave him back the camera.
"Hey Inanna, can I talk to you for a minute ?"
"Uh sure."
Twan noticed the importance of the conversation and walked a couple feet away, taking a picture of an abandoned starfish on the shore.
"What do you want to talk to me about ?" I asked, brushing the loose hairs away from my face and looking at the sunset.
"Are you okay ?"
"Yeah. I'm fine."
"You scared me when you disappeared these last two months."
"Weren't so scared if you didn't text or even call me." I whispered, looking down at my feet.
"I'm sorry."
"It's fine."
"Stop spacing out Inanna."
"I'm not spacing out." I said, looking up at him. I was obviously annoyed with this conversation and I was spacing out. I didn't care enough to talk to Klay. I didn't care enough to really talk to anyone.
"When you want to have a serious conversation, let me know." He said before walking off. Hannah ran to him and jumped on, kissing him. I felt my heart break in my chest and I couldn't look at the scene. I turned back to the sunset, feeling pitiful for myself.
Twan noticed me standing alone and walked over.
"You wanna see the pictures ?"
"Sure ?"
He clicked a couple of times before showing me.
"But you should see the best one, which Klay took."
"And which one is that ?"
"This one."
I stared for eternity. I actually looked good until I pointed out my flaws. I was disgusted with myself. I couldn't look anymore
"Thanks."
I tried walking away but Twan grabbed my arm and pulled me into his chest. He wrapped his arms around me.
"You aren't okay. I know you aren't."
Tears welded in my eyes and I wrapped my arms back around him, letting tears fall.
"You love him and you can't have him. I know your pain."
"How did you know ?"
"It doesn't take rocket science. It doesn't take rocket science to know that Hannah is threatened the relationship you two have, that's why she keeps glaring at you." He whispered.
"I can't let her see me cry." I whimpered.
"You won't. " He said, pulling away. He put his camera on top of the black rock that was near by and ran back to me.
"You wanna see something funny ?"
"It depends what you define funny."
He smirked and grabbed me, pulling closer to the water.
"I'm not going into the water."
"C'mon. I'll tell you about my great sex life." He said, laughing. I cracked a smile and tried to run away from him. He chased after me and wrapped his arms tightly around my waist.
"It was hot and steamy late last night."
I screamed and tried to get out of his arms as he continued to taunt me.
"And boom I'm pregnant."
Then I couldn't stop laughing at Twan's story's ending.
"See I told you I could make her not see you cry."
"Thank you." I whispered, looking over his shoulder to see Klay staring at us as Lele and Hannah were talking about something.
"No need to thank me, that's what friends are."
