"Christina! Seriously? We're on vacation and you're on your laptop?!" I could tell Lee was irritated with me but i didn't care.
"Yeah, chill. I'll be done soon enough." I told her keeping my eyes on my laptop.
"Ugh! What are you even doing?" Lee asked jumping on the bed beside me. I didn't answer her.
"Really? You're working on your One Direction Fanfic on Wattpad? You can do that anytime! Let's go out! Do something fun! C'mon you computer nerd! We're in freaking Australia! Let's go to the beach! Have fun! Learn the haka! Do something! I wanna get out of this sheltered hotel! LET'S GO, LET'S GO, LET'S GO!" Lee whined obnoxiously. I was starting to get annoyed with her. That girl just always knew how to get what she wanted.
"OKAY! Just shut up you crazy woman!" I yelled at her letting out a muffled laugh.
"YAY! Let's get ready for the beach!" She chirped. That little bleep. She planned this all along.
We got ready for the beach. Lee had on a red strapless top that twisted in the middle and a matching solid tanga style bottom. She slipped over a long see through tank that stopped mid-thign and a black and white trucker hat. I, on the other hand, wore a plain white string bikini with a black tube top beach dress. My white bikini brought out my crystal blue eyes.
"Okay! Ready!" I heard Lee cheer. I looked up to see her caring two beach towels and a beach umbrella.
"Almost ready." I shot back putting a few things into the already full beach bag.
We had water, snacks, two extra towels, tanning lotion, and a volleyball. We were leaving the hotel room when I saw my Hunger Games book on the table and I shoved it into the beach bag. Lee was practically skipping to the beach. She was always the type who wanted to be outside or do something active. She just had too much energy.
"YAY! FINALLY!" Lee screamed causing a scene. She was always so oblivious to the world around her. I shook my head at her with a smile sprawled on my lips.
"Yeah, yeah, now go and play you asian energizer bunny." I teased. She stuck her tongue out stripping out of her tank dress and zooming for the water.
I was usually pretty crazy and would have joined Lee in the inviting ocean, but this was our first day here and I was pooped from the long plane ride. After setting up the umbrella, I spread out a towel over the sand and pulled out my Hunger Games book. This book was so addicting that this was my third time reading it. On chapter later I was completely enthralled in the book when I felt driplets of water hitting my back. I looked up and saw Lee standing above me dripping wet.
"Lee, it's cold! Go away and play." I scolded her.
"Aw! C'mon Heart, play with me! Lee is lonely!" She whinned childishly calling me by my last name, which she did often.
"I'm jetlagged. How can you possibly be so hyper?" I inquired. Lee just pouted and shrugged.
"HEART! C'mon!" She continued to whine shaking her head and body like a dog, getting me soaked.
"No. And stop that! You're getting my book wet" I scolded.
"Christina Heart. Stop being a party pooper and come and play in the water with me!" She nagged.
"We'll play with you." Lee and I heard a voice with an accent come from behind her.
Lee whipped around in surprise causing more droplets of ocean water to splash all over me and my book. I heard her gasp as I still couldn't see who it was. All I could see was her ass. I sat up indian style and leaned to the side to see who it was. My eyes widened at the sight.
"Holy crud, it's One Direction." I said in a shoked monotone voice. Knowing who they were, I knew it was Niall's Irish accent that said they would play with Lee. I noticed that Louis was holding an inflatable beach ball smiling. My gaze froze on the funny Direction boy standing next to Niall and Harry.
"Hi! I'm Lee Ricky!" Lee introduced herself excitedly, while I sat there completely star stricken.
"I'm Har-" Lee cut Harry off.
"Harry! and you're Niall, Louis, Zayn, and Liam! Yup, I know who you guys are" She chirped proud of herself.
"You're quite the lively one." Liam chuckled.
"You have no idea." I sighed rubbing my temples.
"HEART!" Lee whipped her head at me pouting. I couldn't help but laugh. Lee was such a baby.
"Heart? Interesting name." I heard Louis comment.
"That's actually my last name. Lee here calls me by my last name a lot." I informed.
"Because it's an awesome last name! Durr!" She teased.
"That is a cool last name." Zayn stated.
Lee smiled at him and if I saw correctly, there was a slight blush on his cheeks. Summer romance, nice. This would be a could opportunity to get back at Lee.
"So let's go in to the water!" Louis shouted. Luckily we were on the hotels private beach, so there wasn't so much fans around.
"Heart lets go!" Lee yelled.
"Let me finish this last chapter and I'll be right there." I told her. Her smile dropped at my reply.
"Promise?" She questioned.
"I promise." I replied.
Suddenly, Lee was scooped up bridal style by Louis who threw her into the water. As he threw her in, he yelled something along the lines of 'I've capture the mermaid!' I couldn't help but laugh. I had a weak spot for funny guys. They were all funny, but Louis was just hilarious. I saw his glance over at me and he seemed pretty happy knowing I was laughing at him.
Time went by and I had read two chapters. Time seemed to escape me, The Hunger Games was just too good. I looked up to see what they were doing this time, however they weren't in the water. I sat up and scanned the beach for them but they were no where to be spotted.
"GET HER!" I heard Lee's incredibly loud voice pop out of the blue.
Suddenly, I felt myself being lifted from my towel. The first thing I saw was Lee running into the water with Zayn and Harry following close behind. My vision then shifted to the boys who were carring me. Liam, Louis, and Niall. They were running towards the ocean and flew me into the water. I screamed when I went airborn then crashing into the water. I immediately shot up out of the water. The water was ice cold!
"OMG! It's freezing!" I yelled shivering.
"That's what happens when you break promises." Lee sneered. I rolled my eyes at the petite girl. I was going to get my revenge.
We all began to play in the water hitting the beach ball back and forth. I noticed that Louis seemed to always stand close by me. I blushed at the thought but shrugged it off. I just so happened to have my attention on Lee for a split second when I saw her wink in Louis' direction. It was obvious she noticed that I saw her because she made a face and quickly shifted her attention elsewhere. I looked back over to Louis who was smiling and staring at me. I melted everytime he smiled.
"What was that about?" I teased, nudging him in the rib.
"Nothing. Lee just told me something interesting a while ago." He admitted. I had an uneasy feeling about what exactly Lee told him. That's when it hit me.
"She didn't!" I gasped. Louis still had his attention on me when those words slipped passed my lips.
"She did." Louis stated as if he knew what I was talking about. I looked at him snapping my head quickly with wide eyes.
"Liar." I called his lie.
"I don't lie babe. Sorry." He cooed, enjoying the moment.
"LEE!" I screached running and splashing through the water trying to get to her. She whipped her head towards me. Her eyes were wide in terror as I rushed towards her.
"I didn't do anything!" She screamed dashing behind Liam to use him as a sheild.
"You did!" I yelled.
"I didn't do anything!" She swam over to Zayn in attempt to get away from me.
I reached my long arms to grab her when my hands missed and accidently tugged on her top. My eyes went wide when I realized what I had just done. I did the first thing I could think of and quickly pushed her towards Zayn so that her chest was against his. It was the only way that I could help her. Zayn subconsciously wrapped his arms around her as she screamed.
"HEART!" She yelled my name. I knew I was in big trouble but I couldn't take it anymore.
This was all too good. I started to crack up, my laugh blazing through the air. It served her right. As I laughed I noticed all the other boys laughing as well. I could tell Zayn was enjoying himself. Lee on the other hand had her arms tightly wrapped around his torso completely embarrassed. Her face was as red as a tomato!
"HEART! YOU COULDN"T OF THOUGHT OF A DIFFERENT WAY!" She was pissed at me, but I was sure that she enjoyed it. I mean, Zayn was her favorite 1D boy.
"Well it serves you right for telling Louis that I have a massive crush on him!" I blurted out to her.
"What? I didn't tell him that. We were going to do a prank on you!" She squealed as her voice cracked like she was going to laugh.
"WHAT?!" I blushed. I just admitted my own secret!
"Is that true babe?" I heard Louis' voice come from behind me.
I froze up not knowing what to do or say. This moment was truly embarrassing. Suddenly I felt strong arms around me and pulling me close. I didn't dare look back because I knew it was Louis. After that confession, I couldn't face him. I looked at the others who were just staring at me with smirks plastered on her lips. Even Lee was giggling. She was no longer pressed up against Zayn, but had her arms covering her chest. She was pretty flat so there wasn't much to cover up (HAHA!).
I saw Liam blushing as he was handing Lee her bathing suit top back. I let out a soft chuckle in spite of my humiliation. Liam is such an innocent man. I froze when I felt Louis' breath on my neck, giving me goosebumps.
"So you like me?" He teased. My face only got redder if it was possible.
"OBSESSED!" Lee yelled giggling.
"LEE LIKES ZAYN!" I blurted. This time her face went red.
"No I don't." She lied trying to act calm, but she was failed since she was a horrible liar. Zayn blushed with a big smile on his face after hearing the news.
"Why don't we go on a double date?" Louis whispered in my ear with his husky voice. It literally sent shivers down my spine, causing me to actually shiver physically in his arms. He chuckled and I felt like I wanted to die from embarrassment.
"A double date?" Zayn had heard Louis.
"I'm up for that." Zayn smiled confidently wrapping an arm around Lee who only elbowed him in the stomach.
"What? I think It would be fun." Zayn defended himself chuckling.
"I guess." Lee rolled her eyes smiling. I knew she was just as excited at Zayn was.
"Then it's a date!" Louis chirped excitedly lifting me up bridal style and twirling around. I screamed as he dunked us both into the water.
After some fun in the sun, we all went back into our hotel. We found out that the boys were only a few rooms away from us. We never noticed before because they had checked in after us.
Lee and I immediately started getting ready for our date. It was currently 4:42pm and Louis and Zayn were going to come over at 7pm. Two hours was not enough time for a girl to prepare for a date, especially one as last minute as this. Lee jumped into the master bedroom bathroom while I got stuck with the bathroom in the lounge area. I washed my hair and scrubbed my body. I didn't have to shave since I already did yesterday, and my leg hair were thin.
I got out of the shower and went into my room drying myself better this time. I pulled out some sexy panties and matching lacey bra. I knew nothing was going to happen, but hey, a girl can dream. I slipped them on and wrapped my towel around my head. I dug through my luggage pulling out a simple yet cute causal floral dress. It was a tube top style dress that hugged my body and stopped mid-thigh. I paired it with my white Toms that I bought a few days before our trip. I kept my hair down and natural. My hair was brown and wavy with highlights. Between Lee and me, I was definitely the girly girl. I wonder what Lee was going to wear.
I was surprised at how quick and easy it was to get ready. It was smart of me to bring only cute casual clothes that could be used for any occasion. I left my room and entered the master bedroom which Lee claimed first. When I opened the door, it looked like a hurricane turned everything upside down. It was a catastrophe.
"Lee, what the heck?!" I was shocked.
"This is all your fault! When I go on vacation, I don't plan on going on dates so I never pack anything for that!" Lee cried. She was in her bra and underwear half buried in her pile of clothes.
"Just wear jeans and a cute top. You got a lot of cute clothes here. You can mix and match them." I helped her up and dug through the massive piles of clothes.
I picked out a pair of ripped denim shorts, a simple flowy tank top, and covered it up with one of her mid-torso black leather-like jackets. As for footwear, she decided to go with her converse. Lee would be a reck without me.
"There. Now you're ready. You look like a rockstar." I smiled at her. She hugged me tightly showing her appreciation.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you! And I am a rockstar!" She stiked a "rocker" pose.
"You're welcome." I giggled shaking my head.
Adding our final touches, we heard a knock coming from the main door. I rushed over excited for the date while Lee slumped her way. I opened the door to see two rather handsome guys standing at the door way.
"Hey babe." Louis smiled taking my hand and giving me a twirl.
"Hot." Was all he said. I giggled while a blush made its way on my cheeks.
"Where's Lee?" Zayn asked.
"Right here." Lee popped out shyly. I could tell she was insecure. She never liked this kind of attention, let alone going on dates.
"You look beautiful babe." Zayn smiled taking Lee into a hug.
"Lets get going." Louis stated holding my hand and leading us out.
When we made our way to the lobby, to our surprise, there were a few fans waiting outside the hotel. I was a bit panicked since I didn't really want to be seen and be hated by strangers. Louis glanced at me and lead us to the back way of the hotel. We were going to sneak out. Lou and Zayn put on a beanie, a fake mustache, and fake glasses. It was awkward since the mustaches made them look a lot older and it seemed that we, young girls, are going on a date with old men. None the less, it did look convincing.
Louis was holding my hand while we were walking through town. There were some stares from passer byers as they double glanced at us. I could hear Zayn and Lee talking and giggling from behind us. I was glad they were having a good time.
"Their stares are quite amusing, don't you think? Perhaps we should... mess with their heads?" Louis said out loud so Zayn and Lee could hear him.
"Yeah! They think we're some old perverts dating hot young girls." Zayn chuckled.
We pulled up to a little bistro with an out door dining area near the sidewalks. The host showed us to our seats. The host was giving us weird looks when Louis brought my hand to his lips and kissed it. I knew it was just for laughs but I couldn't stop myself from blushing. Zayn had his arm around Lee and people passing by gave us awkward looks. We would all laugh when no one was around.
This time there was a group of people coming and Louis surprsied me with a kiss. The kiss was short and sweet. And to be absolutely cliche, the kiss was magical! There were fireworks, sparks, you name it, it was there. When Louis broke away my heart was pounding and the way he was looking at me, told me that he felt the same way.
"Wow." Louis stated in awe.
"Ditto." Was all I managed to say.
The rest of the night we played with people's minds. Louis leaned in to kiss me and this time we got a bit too into it. Our innocent kiss turned into a massive snog.
"Ugh, get a room you two!" Zayn and Lee spat in unison.
Louis and I broke from the kiss and something felt odd. Zayn and Lee started to crack up. I could see the tears running down Lee's cheeks. I looked at Louis who looked back at me and instantly joined in with Lee and Zayn's giggle fit. I stared at Louis and something wasn't right. Everything clicked. I looked to my upper lips to that I had the mustache on. It was hilarious and I couldn't help but join in. Louis peeled the fake mustache off of me and placed another sweet and passionate kiss on my lips.
"Best date ever." I breathed when we broke the kiss.
"Best date ever." Louis repeated.
