June 2nd, 2067
Somewhere in the Idaho Wilderness, USA
Bright sunlight. An overgrown, grassy meadow. A glimmering stream quietly running along its way. Warm, late-spring air lightly blowing. Tall, pine covered mountains surrounding. Some things I notice, others I don't.
I am running. Breathing heavily. My knee-length, pearly dress swishing elegantly with my every stride. Worn, brown leather boots clunk against the untrodden-earth. They're gaining on me. I don't have much time. And yet, everything around me moves at a slow, surreal pace. My abilities are still not functioning, thanks to them.
I feel like it's all a movie. All a fictional plot. After all, nothing like this could ever happen to me, could it?
The back of my dress is being grabbed. I pitch forward before being thrown backwards onto the ground. All air escapes my lungs a split second before my head hits the ground. A sickening crack and then black.

A tap of latex-clad fingers on my cheek. My eyes flutter but do not open. Distant voices. Another tap on my cheek. The voices become clearer.
"Aya," a warped-male, monotone voice speaks my name.
Yet another tap, this time quite a bit harder.
"Aya, if you don't wake up we'll have to take some... measures."
I slowly open my eyes to blinding light. Trying to move my arms to cover my eyes, I find myself restrained. When I try to shift at all I find that my legs are also bound to the thin mattress I'm laying on. I try activating my abilities once more. It does not work. I'm in the same predicament as a few days ago. My eyes slowly adjust to the harsh light. The rest of the room is shrouded in darkness. It seems the only light source is pointed directly in my face.
A silhouette speaks in the same deep voice: "Good. Now we can begin the tests."
There is a scraping of metal. A small, silver glimmer. He has a knife.
I tug at my restraints. My heart has begun to race. A nervous tingle ripples down my spine. But it stays at my shoulder blades even after it fades. Finally, it's wearing off.
He walks towards where I am laying. Stopping by the side of the mattress, he bends down. Holding the knife to my sternum, he says, "Alright, let's see what's in that pretty blood of yours..."
I muster the most unnerving smile I can. "I will see your blood before you can touch that knife to me." And I always fulfill my promises.
My teeth form into fangs as long, sharp, black nails spring from the beds of my fingers. In a flash, I easily slice through my leather restraints.
"Sh*t! Who forgot to give her more sedat- ah!" His yelling is cut short by my nails slashing through the soft flesh of his neck. He crumples onto the floor beside me. A red lake forms beneath him.
Eyes beginning to dilate and adjust to the dark, I find the lamplight to be much too harsh. I backhand it, successfully crushing it against the ground and plunging the room into total darkness. As I stand up, large, black, feathery wings rip from my back. They rise up behind me like angry storm clouds. I spot the doorway and march out, wings ripping paintings off walls and knocking vases against the stony floor as I go.
Shadows run and scream around me. I march on, throwing whoever gets in my way against a wall. They can not stop me now. They are in too much panic.
For mortal men can not measure to the nephilim; diamonds amongst coal.

Ok hello! This is a little side thing I'm starting so it may be a little infrequent so I'm apologizing in advance. But yeah, she is not your traditional nephilim. Also please think of this entry as more of a prologue. It's not long by any means and not a whole lot happens. So it's more of an introduction/hook. Still, I hoped you like it.
