We were silent for about 5 minutes. Then Dumbledore spoke. "Heather, I'm not lying to you. Harry is the most powerful wizard for his age. But you're even more powerful. You could cast a spell as 2 year old that most adults can't."
I sighed. "So I go to Hogwarts, learn some magic, then what? Become a magician? Abracadabra, hocus pocus?"
Mrs. Weasley, I think that's her at least, smiled. "First things first, you need a wand, a broom, if you want to play Quidditch, and all that fun stuff." She goes over to the freakishly large fireplace and picks up a pot. "Ron and Harry will show you how to do it. All you do is take a pinch, stand in the fireplace, drop it, and say 'Diagon Alley'." Ron demonstrates, and then, poof, he's gone. Harry does the same. Then it's my turn.
I take a pinch of the powdery stuff, and say "Diagon Alley!" I blink and I'm in a different fireplace. Harry grabs my have and pulls me out. "Come out, Heather! You did it!" I smile. I look around. Shops among shops line the street that is filled with people.
"Welcome to Diagon Alley," the boy, Ron says. Dumbledore walks out of the fireplace, and hands me the stick. Sorry, wand. We walk around and get me school supplies. Owl cage, quills, books, robes, and all sorts of things.
At some point, I decide to go exploring. I wander around the street, taking in the wonderful place. I get caught up in my thoughts and I bump into someone. "I'm so sorry! I didn't see you there!" I exclaim. The person I walked into is tall and has blonde hair.
"Hey! Watch where you're-" he cuts himself off. "Are you new around here? I've never seen you before." I nod.
"I thought so. What's your name? I'm Draco."
"Heather."
"Are you going to Hogwarts? You seem older than eleven."
"Yeah. It's my first year." I tell him, "and I'm 15."
Draco gasps. "15? But you start when you're eleven! Are you a transfer?"
"Nope."
"Any family members in Hogwarts?"
"Only one. Harry."
"Harry Potter?" His eyes are so big they seem like they might pop out of his head.
"The very same."
"I hate that Potter," Draco mutters. "Anyway, what house do you think you'll be sorted into?"
"House?"
"Yes, house. Gryffindor for the brave, Slytherin for the cunning, Ravenclaw for the smart, Hufflepuff for the kind."
"Maybe Ravenclaw or Slytherin."
"Well, if you're Slytherin, I'll see you at the table. I'm a Slytherin."
"Oka-" I was cut off by Harry. "Heather? Why are you talking to Draco Malfoy of all people?"
I searched for the right words. "I- uh... I am not supposed to?" Harry glared at me. That was enough to tell me no. "Ok, then. Geez. Bye Draco." I walk away.
Harry's POV
What the heck was Heather thinking? Does she not know who Draco is? Wait, no, she doesn't. But she'll learn quickly, right? If she had to choose between him or me, would she choose me? Of course, if she is a Potter, chances are she'll go looking for trouble. Or trouble will go looking for her.
"Jesus, Potter. You just going to show up to Hogwarts this year with a girl that claims she a Potter? I have one reason why there's absolutely no way she a Potter. Okay, two. One, she talked to me. Without being a brat. Two, she actually looks good." Malfoy smirked and walked away.
Me personally, I'm still getting over the fact that I have a sister. How will everyone else react? Sure, Ron and Hermione will welcome her, and so will Luna and Neville, but what about everyone else?
Then a thought came to me, one practically unthinkable, but completely plausible.
What if Heather isn't sorted into Gryffindor?
