Saturday

8:14 AM

Plane to NYC:

I pulled my hat down tighter, keeping my arms crossed over my chest as I slumped down in my seat.

After last night I had no desire to leave LA.

That was one of the best nights of my life.

So now it was all on hold...

Or more like back to reality.

"Justin, we're going to land in a few minutes." Scooter said.

"Alright."

I guess you could say I was in a bad mood - because Lauren was once again like a thousand miles away.

She could change her mind while I was gone.

I could call tonight. She said she wanted me to, I just-

I don't know.

I turned on my music again, sinking lower.

Well I did get to do a few interviews, and then I was performing tomorrow, so that would cheer me up.

My fans always did.

Mom shook my shoulder and I pulled up one side of my head phone, turning my head to look at her.

"Let's go."

"Kay." I got up, getting my bag from the compartment above and threw it back on my shoulders.

I followed behind Mom and Scooter with Kenny, Dan, Carin, DJ Tay, and everyone else behind me.

Just don't think about her.

Yeah right, like that'll happen.

Her smile, her laugh...

And when she kissed me.

That was a feeling I couldn't even describe. I had waited for it so long.

"Hey, yo, J

I shook out of it, seeing Scooter waving his hand in front of my face.

"Huh?"

He just laughed, shaking his head as he walked in front of me

"No what'd you say?"

"Oh nothing."

I raised an eyebrow, looking around at my mom and Kenny laughing.

"What'd you say."

"Forget it. He was probably to busy thinking about his little girlfriend." Scooter teased.

"Watch it." I warned, trying to hide my blush with my hat.

"Aw! Look at that!"

"Scooter!" I said, punching his arm.

"What have I said about the punching?"

"You asked for it." I shrugged.

"Because Justin l-"

"Don't," I warned. "Or I'll do it again."

"Blah blah."

I rolled my eyes pushing his face away with my hand.

"Leave me alone."

"Oh boo hoo."

"Boys..." Mom said, looking over at us.

"Sorry." We mumbled, looking forward again.

* * * * * * * *

"Am I done for the night?" I asked Scooter, leaving yet another interview.

"Yeah, you're free to do whatever now."

"Sweet. I'm whooped."

"Yeah, I'm sure. It's been a long day."

"Tell me about it." I mumbled, pulling my phone out of my pocket.

"Are you gonna call your girlfriend?" He asked, smirking at me.

"Scooter, shut up." I blushed, keeping my eyes on my phone.

Nothing.

"Justin is not embarrassed." He nudged my arm as I looked up, scowling at him.

"She's not my girlfriend. I haven't even asked yet."

"I know, but how you act is so funny."

"Keep pushing it, I'll get you in your sleep."

"Go call your girlfriend." He said, walking quickly towards his hotel room.

"Scooter!"

I shook my head, dialing her number and unlocked the door.

It rang as I flopped down backwards on my bed, staring up at the ceiling.

"Hey." She answered and I smiled, letting out a small breath.

"Hey, how are you?"

"I'm ok, how are you?"

"Ready to pass out." I laughed.

"Me too. Rehearsals have me beat."

"Well how did they go?"

"Pretty good, a few mess ups, but nothing that can't be fixed. How was the flight?"

"Boring." I mumbled. "Even sleeping didn't make it go any faster."

"I'm sorry. It's been a slow day here too."

"But we only have 6 more days till I'm back."

"Yeah, when does your flight get back in LA?" She asked me.

"Friday night. I think I land at 7. Something like that."

"Do you want to go out then? If not and you're tir -"

"No," I stopped her, smiling to myself. "I'd love to. We can get dinner or something."

"Yeah, that sounds good."

"Ok, well you can pick where we go, and I'll pick you up when we get back from the airport."

"You're sure?"

"Yeah, of course."

"Alrighty." She laughed. "So did Scooter have you running all over the place today?"

"Yeah pretty much," I smiled again, adjusting the phone at my ear. "It was all interviews today- and tomorrow."

"But you're performing Friday right?"

"Yeah, I might stop at a few radio stations to while I'm here, work on the albums."

"Well at least you have that to look forward too."

"That will be fun. I have rehearsals for that too. It's going to be so busy this week."

"I know. It's getting crazy here too. Especially since I'm leaving in a few weeks."

"Yeah, that's right." I frowned. "But you get to go to Canada soon."

"I've only been like once. I'm excited to go back."

"Then I'm going to have to take a day and show you around."

"I'd like that very much thank you." I heard the smile in her voice and I laughed, managing to take off my shoes by just my feet.

"Great. Because this place by the Avon theatre had some of the best pizza."

"I like pizza." She laughed as I shut my eyes, trying to think of last night again.

"And then there is the hot chocolate place too. Mom used to take me there when i was little."

That seemed like so long ago...

"Then I'll tell Angie to give me a day off and you can show me everything."

"Ok."

I let out a small laugh, craving for the week to be over already.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * *

"Shhh." i held up my finger to Angie, slipping down into a seat towards the back of the arena so Lauren wouldn't see me at first.

Angie gave me a thumbs up, and I smiled as I saw Lauren shuffling around on stage.

"Can I do the dance thing again? I feel like I'm not getting it." She said, looking at Angie. "It's really bothering me."

"Do whatever you need to do."

"Alright, let's just do the whole thing again, please." She said, letting out a sigh and ran her hand through her straight hair.

Camren counted her in and she adjusted the mic on her ear, walking to Lexi and Cierra.

I watched her, hearing her singing, but mostly watched her.

Because she didn't know I was here- and she looked really hot.

Let's just say I really liked her in the varsity jacket. It showed skin, not to much, but I liked it.

I had really thought about how I was going to do this, surprising her I mean. i thought I was going to be back later, but I had the time wrong.

I just took it as an opportunity to see her longer.

"Oh my gosh." She groaned, finishing up the dance part. "Was that good, or was it bad? I don't know why I feel like I'm messing up!"

Angie opened her mouth to talk, but I beat her to it.

"It was great. I didn't see any mess ups."

Her head shot in my direction, scanning the seats until she landed on me.

"Justin!"

I stood up as she hopped off the stage, shoving my hands in my pockets.

"Take a break." Angie laughed, telling the rest of the crew.

"Hi." I smiled, scanning her quickly and then forced my eyes on hers.

"I thought you weren't coming back till tonight." Her arms flung around my neck and I pulled my hands  out of my pockets, wrapping my arms around her to finish the hug.

"Honestly me too, but change of plans."

"So really, how bad was it?"

"It wasn't bad at all. Really. You were great."

"You're not lying to me are you?" She laughed, pulling away.

"No." I laughed with her, shaking my head.

"Well we're almost done. I have two more songs I want to run through. If I don't mess up."

"You won't." I reached for her hand, giving it a light squeeze. "Just smile."

"Yeah," She nodded, taking a deep breath. "Thanks."

She squeezed my hand back, kissing my cheek before letting go and walking back to the stage.

I reached up, touching my cheeks where she had pressed her lips and smiled.

I sat it the closest seat, ducking down to hide the blush still on my cheeks.

She didn't mess up her last two songs, not once. I don't know why she had a head case about it. She was amazing.

She is amazing.

"Let's go home. I think we're good now." She said. "Thanks."

I stood up again as she walked over to me, giving her a wide smile.

"I was going to change before we went out, but since you're here now I guess I'm not."

"If you really want to I can take you home first, but I think you look great - I uh - mean." I stopped myself, rubbing the back of my neck with my hand.

"Thanks," She laughed at me, taking my other hand. "If you really think so I won't change then."

"Ok, did you drive here?" I asked her, slipping my fingers through her's as we walked toward the stage.

"Nah," She shook her head. "Marc brought me. I only drive when I really have to. I don't think I'm good, so I'd rather prevent any accidents I would cause."

"Not good at driving." I laughed.

"I'm serious!" She smiled, nudging my arm.

"Just like you thought you kept messing up during that song? It was great."

"Exactly like that."

"You worry too much." I smiled, tightening my grip on her hand.

"Yeah, I do." She shrugged, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.

"Where would you like to go for dinner?"

"It really doesn't matter to me. You seem to know good places, so you can pick."

"But I told you to pick." I smiled at her, holding open the door that led backstage.

"If you really want me to pick, I will."

"Well I really want you to." We walked through the hall and I saw Ms. Renee.

"Great job honey." Ms. Renee told Laur, then smiled at me. "Well hey Justin. I didn't know you were coming back this early. It's good to see you again."

"Yeah, I got to leave earlier than I thought I was going to- and you too." I smiled at her.

"Justin and I are going to go out for dinner now I think. Just wanted to let you know."

"Ok, thanks. I'll see you later then. Nice seeing you Justin."

"You too." I smiled again, then led Lauren out.

"Want to come over tomorrow so you can see me fall on my butt from my skateboard?" She asked, laughing as we walked.

"Sure, but you're not going to fall on your butt."

"I just might. Like I told you before I'm rusty!"

"You won't. Not on my watch. I promise."

She smiled over at me as I stepped outside with her, feeling the light breeze running through my hair.

I glanced at her again, smiling at her blush.

"So, where to?"

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

"Yummy." Laur laughed, scooping up a bite of her Cookies and Creme ice cream. "I haven't had this in forever. Angie is going to kill me."

"Why? Because you're eating dairy?" I asked with a laugh, scooping up some of my own Vanilla.

"Yes! But it's so good."

"Well good." I laughed, scooting closer to her. "Mine is too."

"So why Vanilla?"

"Vanilla is my favorite." I told her. "I would have gotten Cotton Candy, but they didn't have that."

"Is that your favorite too?" She smiled over at me, taking another bite of her ice cream.

"Mhm. They're tied."

"This is my favorite." She said, pointing down. "That and the Brownie stuff from Ben and Jerry's."

I laughed, nodding my head.

"Ben and Jerry's is quite yummy."

"When are you going into the studio?" She asked.

"Tomorrow night. I don't like doing it in the day. It's quieter at night."

"You stay up all night in there?" She raised an eyebrow questionaly.

"Yeah, I like it better." I nodded. "When I have to thought I will go in during the day, I just prefer night."

"Because you're a rebel." She smiled, her eyes flickering between her ice cream and me.

"No I'm not!"

"That's not what you told me." She teased.

"I'll tickle you again. I'll do it. I really will."

"Don't!" She shook her head.

"Calling me a rebel." I mumbled.

"Yeah, rebel."

"Ok, that's it. I'm going to tickle you."

"I'll put ice cream on your nose." She said, holding up her spoon and pushing herself against the wall. "Just try me."

"I can wipe it off." I rolled my eyes playfully, leaning closer.

"Or I'll mess up your hair."

"You wouldn't." I scowled, but broke it because I couldn't help the smile that ws fighting to stay on my face.

"Yes I would." She nodded, lifting up her hand.

"Don't." I shook my head.

"I won't if you don't tickle me."

"Fine, I won't." I took her hand from where it was, inching closer.

I looked down at her lips, then back up at her.

"So how is your ice cream?" She asked, staying exactly where she was.

"It's pretty good." I glanced around quickly.

No employees at the counter, no one else in the place, and no paparazzi outside.

I let go of her hand, sliding mine on her neck.

"Well that's good." She whispered.

"Yeah." I nodded, moving my thumb on her cheek and kissed her, smiling to myself.

I know I love this girl. No questions asked.

Now I just have to officially make her my girlfriend....
