That night I dreamed of Vicky and what happened, of course, I wasn't always close to her, but she was my brother's love and if she died I wouldn't know what to do.
Matt texted and said he would spend the night with Vicky in the hospital, I had asked if he wanted me to stop by but he refused, saying he wanted to be the only one there when she woke up, and I respected his wishes.
Once I was ready for the day I walked downstairs hearing the water running and the TV playing.
I looked over to see Pretty Little Liars playing, I snuck over to the couch, peaking my head and overseeing Jeremy putting all his attention into the show.
"Bro don't Toby and Spencer look adorable?!"
I squealed and Jeremy perks up
"Hell ya don't you know they just played scrabble, and they were both half nude!" I set my bag down and put my hands on my hips. Jeremy slowly turns around, he knows he's been caught.
"uhh I mean I put it on for you I was just watching Breaking Bad." He smiles sheepishly as I make my way over to Jenna.
"Where are you going looking so fine Jenna?" She smiles as she turns around from the mirror,
"Okay hair up?" I put my finger to my mouth thinking
"sexy stewardess!" I playfully shove Jenna
" Okay, how about down?" I give a small frown with a smirk
"Boosie housewife." She smiles and shakes her head while putting her hair up.
"I'm going to Jeremy's parent-teacher conference a suggestion by the ever-loving Tanner." I give a sigh and a shrug to her as I pull a bottle of water out of the fridge.
" And I don't think he forgot what you did the other day." I take a long drink avoiding the conversation, Jenna laughs as she heads over to turn the TV off.
"Okay was it you or Jeremy again?"
I laugh as I point my finger in Jeremy's direction, "Jeremy I know you love your shows but it's 7 a.m. at least turn it down." She laughs as Jeremy turns around with a shocked expression toward me
"You told her! O I'm so gonna get you! Jenna did you know that Eliza has a copy of your Fifty Shades-" I throw an apple at his head to shut Him up as Jenna turns around and puts her hands on her hips, I laugh sheepishly as I backup taking my bag and running out the door chasing Jeremy
"You know that bat under my bed?" I ask him as I start the car
"ya?"
I smile at him and he nervously laughs. I turn on the radio and Taylor Swift pops on singing 22. I look over to Jeremy as he starts singing real loudly turning the radio up.
I laugh as we park at the grill as I'm meeting Caroline, Bonnie, and Elena there
"Get out you twelve-year-old girl!" I yell over the music as I turn it off and walk opposite ways of Jeremy. I sit down at the table ready to hear the gossip,
"You know I hear from grams that the comet is a sign of impending doom." I look over to Bonnie as she finishes her sentence about witches once again and gives her a supporting smile.
"And then you poured grams another shot and she told you about the aliens." I looked over at Caroline shocked.
" Hey! That's not funny okay?" Caroline rolls her eyes and continues
"And then what?" Elena shakes her head and looks at Caroline.
"No. we didn't go there, we just talked for hours." Caroline jumps up
"Okay, what's with the blockage just jump his bones already!" I sheepishly look over to the server as he sets my water down, all red in the face. I burst out laughing, making my stomach hurt
"Oh my god, it's so not funny Eliza! He probably thinks I'm a sex-crazed teenage!", I laugh to the point that I'm snorting and the waiter comes back with the check, slowly setting it down and taking off running I yell at him
"Wait I promise she only wants to jump your bones! She won't stalk you after!" I jump out of my seat running to the side of the building seeing the poor guy slam the door on his way in.
Elena starts gathering her things while getting up as I make my way back Bonnie questions Elena
"where are you going?" She gives a smile as she gives me a look that tells me I'm coming to, I groan and pick my stuff up.
"Caroline's right, it is easy if I sit here long enough I'm going to talk myself out of it, come on Eliza!" I roll my eyes as I wave goodbye to Bonnie and Caroline
"Okay I don't know if this needs to be said but I guess it does I'm not going over there just so you can have sex with Stefan!" I yell as I start the engine, the music continues to blare as I turn it down and pull out of the Grill.
"Okay that's not going to happen I'm just gonna talk to him." I give her a sideways look
"And when you two start tearing each other's clothes off and going at it like bunnies what am I gonna do? Go oops sorry wrong house?" I laugh as I could imagine the scene playing out.
As we pull up to the house my eyes pop out of my head admiring the old architecture. Elena walks up to the door to knock but the door is already open, I give Elena a look as she opens it and walks in. I have a debate in my mind, should I go into the creepy big house? Or drive away while she's not looking? I decided if a murderer was around at least I could pull Elena in front of me. I walk in immediately gasping at the house
"Holy Shit! Do you think we can rob it?" Elena turns around and gives me a look. I shrug my shoulders as I walk into the living room. I turn around when I hear a creak of the floorboards and see a crow fly in, it looked oddly similar to the one I fed the other day.
I turn back around and come face to face with the bluest eyes I'd ever seen, my mouth pops open, "hello sexy." I blurt out on accident and cover my mouth, at least I'd be murdered by a hottie, I was cool with that. Elena turns around and immediately scolds me
"Eliza! I'm so sorry sir the door was open, we were just looking for Stefan." I turn around and see the door closed, I turn towards Elena and roll my eyes and stick my tongue out. The mysterious hottie chuckles, and we're having a creepy stare-off again.
"No, it's fine you must be Eliza and Elena, the Gilbert Twins I presume?" I chuckle and walk over to Elena raising my hand for a high five but it never came.
"what crawled up your pants and died? And yes we are a mysterious hottie, you're not a murderer are you?" He laughs again as he walks toward us
"No, I'm Damon, Stefan's brother." I smile at him giving him a nod of approval, he guides me with a hand to the back as I make my way towards the bookcase in the far right corner.
"I get why my brother is so smitten with you." He tells Elena as I look up, he's not paying any attention to Elena as he's staring at what I'm doing as I do a little happy dance that I caught a hot guy's attention, at least I think, maybe he thinks I'm going to steal his house as I said. Maybe I should do some more squats just In case.
" It's about time for a while there I thought he would never get over the last one, nearly destroyed him." I look up, I get a suspicion of what he's doing
"The last one?" He gives me a sideways smirk as I make my way over to them carrying the first edition of Call of the Wild.
"Yes, Katherine, his girlfriend." She gives him a blank stare
"Oh, you two haven't had the awkward exes talk yet?" I look up to Elena as I give a glance at Damon and take a seat on the sofa
"Nope apparently not." I flip open the book, finding it in excellent condition.
"Oops well, I'm sure it'll come up now." Damon gives her a sheepish look and walks over to me glancing down at the book I'm reading.
" Maybe he didn't want to tell you because he didn't want you to think he was on the rebound." I snort as I think of Jenna and Logan Fell, and give a half smile at Elena to reassure her
"We all know how those relationships end." I give him a look as I stand up next to him
"You say that like every relationship is doomed to end." He smirks
"I'm a fatalist." He does this thing with his eyes and I make
my way over to the bookshelf
"And I'm single," I say under my breath as I'm about to put the book back I feel Damon behind me and I turn around and give him an eyebrow,
"You can keep it if you want, it honestly just takes up space."I'm shocked and I look up to him and give him a genuine smile
"Thank you I'll take good care of it."
"Aw Stefan welcome to the party!" I jump a little at Stefan's entrance and give him a small wave.
"Elena, Eliza didn't know you were coming over." I give a sheepish smile
"Well you lost your chance lover boy she was gonna jump your bones." I laugh at my joke making my way to Elena to finally get my high five and she puts her hand on my face and pushes me away. I give her a look
"Now you're just making me look bad Elena." She rolls her eyes.
"I know I should have called-" Damon interrupts her
"Oh don't be silly their welcome anytime aren't they Stefan?"
Damon takes a step forward and you can just feel the tension, you could cut a knife with it. " you know I should break out the family photo albums or some home movies but, I have to warn you He wasn't always such a looker." I look into his eyes as I burst out laughing as Elena smiles at Damon
"Thanks for stopping by you two, it's nice to see you both." Elena smiles at Stefan
"Ya we should go.." she starts walking out
"It was nice to meet you Damon, and thanks for the book and not being a murderer." I laugh, he takes my hand and kisses it
"Great meeting you too Eliza." I give Stefan a pat on the shoulder as I make my way out heading to the car with a disappointed Elena.
I get in the car and look over to Elena as she's already on her phone
"At least I wasn't walking into a full-blown make-out session." She looks up and gives me a small smile as we make our way to the house, when I walk in I see Jeremy watching Pretty Little Liars again
"And they say I'm the girl?"I laugh as Jeremy turns around and glares at me, I stuck my tongue out at him as I make my way to the kitchen hearing Jenna and Elena talk about guys.
"It could be worse, he could still be wetting the bed." I laugh as I hold my hand up for Jenna, she laughs and shakes her head
"Aww come on that's three times today!" Jeremy snickers on the couch," I haven't forgotten about you either Jeremy!" He freezes and turns the TV off.
Jeremy tried to quietly make his way to his room, as I grab an apple like aunt Jenna I make my way following Jenna as she asks where he's been all day. "Jeremy!.. Jeremy where have you been all day?" Jeremy makes it one-third of the way up
"More stoner stories? look Jenna I get it you were cool in high school and that's cool." He gives a smart-ass thumbs up, Elena gasps in the Kitchen not knowing Jenna was a stoner, I snicker and turn towards Jenna. I see her gear up,
"Oh o no no no!" And she throws the apple at Jeremy,
"Ooh me too I wanna try!" I yell as I throw my half-eaten apple at him too.
"Eliza! What was that for?"
I smile sheepishly
"Jenna did it I wanted to add to it!" Jeremy rubs the back of his head scowling at the women in the room
"Three times in one day, no wonder I won't have a concussion by tomorrow!" Jenna climbs a stair to get his attention
"listen up quit ditching class, or you're grounded, no discussion!" Jeremy gives her a jackass smile
"Parental authority, I like it sleep tight." I gape at him as I put my hand on Jenna's shoulder
"You know my bat is still up there Jeremy!" I snicker as I make my way to the freezer getting the chocolate ice cream out.
"Hey, Jenna ice cream?" She laughs as she gets herself a spoon and we sit at the table and start eating.
The next day, Elena and Bonnie were handing out pamphlets for the comet tonight.
"He didn't call huh?" I look to Bonnie as I hand a flyer to a nearby couple
"No they didn't jump each other's bones, thank god my eyes are still pure!" I laugh as I catch up to Elena and Bonnie
"Or text, but then I realized we never even exchanged that kind of stuff, we never got to the texting part." I give her a sad smile as Bonnie begins
"It's an important milestone in any relationship." "Isn't it?"
"I knew it was wrong anyway." Bonnie gives Elena a glance
"When is it ever right?"
"I'm not ready Bonnie."
"Who is I mean if someone tried to snatch Eliza up she's going for it, right Eliza?" I stop in my tracks causing the other two to as well." Hey! I am not easy like that!" They snicker as they continue walking, I run to catch up, " at least I put myself out there!" I smile, " ya you go, girl! Strong independent women right here!" They both burst out laughing as a few people ahead turn around to look at us funny. "All I'm hearing is reasons you can't." I shake my head agreeing with Bonnie on this one.
we all meet up in the middle of town during the lighting ceremony, Matt lights Elena's candle, "o shit awkward ex conversations inbound." I whisper to Bonnie and Caroline as we're walking behind them. I look over and give a smile to Elena as she's lighting Stefan's candle. I let them talk, as I know they've needed to for a while. "you guys already know I got a tub of ice cream and a supernatural episode waiting for me at home." Bonnie laughs, " are you still going to hit Jeremy with your bat?" I start laughing maniacally, "o the little shit is so going to get it, I'm gonna record it and send it to you guys." They start laughing with me at my diabolical plan of kicking Jeremy's ass when I get home.
I come across Jeremy and Tyler once again fighting over Vicky. I make my way towards Jeremy and Elena as Jeremy walks away from Elena, "what was that?" I ask as I point back to Jeremy, she shakes her head, " I don't want to talk about it, I just want to go home." I nod my head and follow her out. When we get home Jenna is cleaning out Jeremy's room of all his drugs. I go to my room to get ready for bed and get my bat ready to go, with an episode of supernatural and a big tub of Ben and Jerry's. Jeremy walks in later that night, "hey Jeremy!" I yell as I lunge into his room catching the ass going out the window, "you won't get away this time!" I laugh as I follow him out the window.
writers note: Okay I want to add a little comedy into it, I know the show can sometimes be dark, but life involves happiness And sadness and I want it to have a good balance of both. I hope you all like it and thank you.
