The Paid Boyfriend.
Chapter one.
GENERAL POV
Habang busy si Mamang Teddy sa pag make over kay Karylle ang mga bakla naman ay busy sa pagmamasid kila Karylle at Vice.
Halatado kasi ang mga nakaw tingin ni Karylle kay Vice pamamagitan ng wide wirror sa harapan niya. Sakop sa anggulo kung saan nakapwesto si Vice which is nasa counter.
"Paktay. Wag niyong sabihing si Jose Marie na naman ang target ni Ms. K?" Pabulong na tanong ni MC kay Lassy na naturang binibilang ang tigwayat sa harap ng salamin
"Halos lahat na ata ng bakla dito natuhog na niya." Komento ni Luis habang pino-footspa ang naka-assign na customer niya
"Luh? Maka-ano na naman kayo. Wag niyong I-deny na hindi kayo na-aattract kay ex-cover girl." Saway naman ni Archie na nagwawalis ng mga putol na buhok
"Maganda naman kasi talaga si Ms. K, pati tayong mga bading, naapektuhan sa alindog niya." Pag-iinsert ni Buern na nagwo-wordscape
"Pero teka ha, manhid o tanga lang talaga 'tong kaibigan natin at hindi niya maramdaman ang mga tingin ni Ms. K sakanya?"Sabat ni Jhong habang pinaplantsa ang naka-assign ring customer niya
"Hoy, Lassy at Archie, since katatapos niyo lang sa gawain niyo. Lapitan niyo yung baklang nasa counter at siyasatin niyo about Ms. K, lam niyo naman may ritwal tayo sa mga bagong bakla dito sa parlor kapag andyan yung babaeng converter." Utos ni Buern
"Maka-utos naman 'to! Eh ikaw nga nagwo-wordscape lang dyan eh." Pa-irap ni Lassy kaya natawa naman ang mga bakla.
Tila ngang manhid ang baklang bida dahil wala siyang kamuwang-muwang nang lumapit ang dalawang bakla sa pwesto niya.
"Psst, Seswang! Kanina ka pa nakasambakol yang feslak mo at nakayuko habang titig na titig sa cellphone mo." Pagkuha ng atensiyon ni Archie
"Wag nga kayong magulo." Walang ganang sagot ni Vice at nakapako parin ang mata sa cellphone kaya sinenyasan naman ni Archie si Lassy na gumawa rin ng move
"Hoy! Kung kanina ka pa busy sa kakahintay ng text ng jowa mo dyan sa cellphone mo, may kanina pa ding busy sa kaka-sight seeing sayo." Dahil doon napa-look up naman si Vice with a question look
The two gay man both pouted and pointed the direction which served as an answer to his question. He automatically followed it with his eyes, he saw a curly woman having a good conversation with Mamang Teddy who is currently fixing her hair.
"Oh eh, ano namang meron?" Naguguluhang tanong nito
"Kanina ka pa nga pin—"
"Ganito nalang kasi baks..." Pagputol ni Archie kay Lassy "Anong tingin mo doon sa babaeng kulot na inaayusan ni Mamang?"
Binalik naman ni Vice ang tingin niya kila Mamang Teddy at Karylle. He observed her from head to toe, her posture, her hair, her clothers and her face...
"Pwede na." Pa-ismid na sambit ni Vice
"Anong klaseng 'pwede na?'" Nakakunot noong tanong ni Buern
"Halos atakihin naman ako sa puso sayo, Seswang!" Gulat na may halong inis na turan ni Lassy
"Maganda yung complexion niya. Sakto lang yung curls ng hairlalo niya and uhm malaki ang ba-- teka nga, bat niyo ba ako inaano tungkol sa babaeng yun? Sino ba siya?!"
"Si Ms. Karylle, ang pantasya ng mga bakla dito sa parlor." Mapang-uyam na sagot ni Archie
"Yes, you heard it right, Vice. Pantansya. The former gays here was converted by her. Sayang nga lang dahil hindi sakanya ang bagsak nila. Hindi pa yan kasi nakaka-move on sa ex niyang naging bakla." Pangkwe-kwento ni Buern
"Trots! Even Mamang Teddy have feelings for her pero kaso na-bestfriendzoned siya." Archie shook his head
"Seryoso kayo? So ibig sabihin bet niyo rin siya?"
"Crush lang namin nila Archie, MC at Jhong." May impit na ngiti naman na pag-amin ni Buern
"Kaso... ako, hindi eh. Kinabog ko pa kasi ang alindog niya." Mayabang na sagot ni Lassy
"Wow, hiyang-hiya naman sayo si Ms. K, Seswang ha?" Sabat ni MC sabay batok "Pero Vice, na-aattract ka ba ngayon sakanya?" At nagpalumbaba sa mesa ng counter
"Aba! Wag niyo akong idamay dyan sa pagbabalik loob niyo ha? Allergic ako sa mga merlat. At never ever na akong ma-iinlove ulit sa girl." Seryoso at may bahid ng lamig na lintaya nito .
"Lubayan niyo na nga ako. Baka tumawag pa si Tom at magtaka kung bakit ang ingay." Pagtataboy niya sa mga kaibigan sabay upo sa upuan patalikod.
Napa-kibit balikat nalang ang mga bakla at bumalik sa mga pwesto nila. Napa-isip naman si Vice sa mga chika ng mga bakla sakanya. Lumingon siya sa likod niya at nasaktong sa direksyon ni Karylle dumiretso ang mga mata niya... she is currently smiling widely while checking out her new look at the wide mirror.
"Ke-gandang nilalang." He uttered unconsciously
KARYLLE
"Karylle?" I'm back with my senses when Mamang Teddy called my name. I was busy kasi checking him out using this mirror in front of me. I was just observing him when his co-workers approached him. Antagal nilang tumambay at where he is. Nakakainis nga because parang they talking about me kaya I need to act na hindi ko alam and I need to stop myself from stealing glances at him muna.
"Wow. I didn't recognize myself, Mamang, ah? Thank you for the make over. I hope there's a straight guy na to like me." I jokingly said and Mamang Teddy laugh at me.
"Meron na yan. Like hello? You are the Ana Karylle Padilla Tatlonghari." He said while emphasizing the word 'the'.
"I'm touch naman. But seriously, should I give you my pay or I'll go to the counter pa?" I hope he'll let me pay sa counter. Please! I want to see his face ng malapitan. Crossed fingers!!
"Nah. Don't need na, bigay mo nalang sa akin, K." He smiled then inilahad naman niya ang kamay, a gesture to accept my pay. Ugh. He didn't catch my drift! Waeyo?!
"Do I have a choice?" I handed him the cash and managed to giggle parin kahit I'm disappointed;(( "Thank—" I was cut off when my phone rang. Oh, Daddy is calling. I signaled Mamang Teddy naman kaya I stood up and look for a place na pwede akong makatanggap ng call peacefully. I swiped to the right side of the screen to answer the call.
"Hello, Dad! Missed me?"
My dad chuckled. He asked me where I am. He asked me to get ready because we have an appointment dinner na biglaan mamaya. We talked about the details and said our ilys before hanging up.
I approach Mamang Teddy and told him that I need to go already due to this appointment dinner. I left a peck on his cheek and bid goodbye but before heading out, I roam my eyes to take one last glance at him and I failed... my eyes didn't catch his figure. Lumabas ako ng parlor with a sad face then got my car keys from my bag and drove off.
Dumiretso naman ako sa condo and took a twenty minutes shower. I choose a blue fitted dress from my closet then pair it up with a white blazer and a two inch stilleto. I put a light make up and complemented it with a light pink lipstick... and off I go.
I arrived at the address what Dad told me earlier. I am currently at a fine dining restaurant, I am not surprise naman about the location bc most of our clients prefer outdoor meetings/appointments but I am feeling nervous right now... I don't know? I shrugged it off nalang and asked the receptionist where are the room that Dad reserved.
I was stun when I got in, I saw the elite Zanjoe Marudo with his parents. Wait? What's going on? I gave Dad a question look but he just responded it with a big smile and signaled me to sit beside him which is magkaharap kami ni Zanjoe, he flashed a smirk. So cringe!
"Good Evening, Ms. VP." Zanjoe's father greeted me. Gosh! I'm having an idea kung saan 'to patungo.
"Good Evening too, Sir. I'm not intend to offend you but please let's get to the point? Why are we here? What's the catch?" I made sure that my tone is still calm kahit na I'm frustrated.
"We are here, the Marudo's, because we are proposing an arrange marriage between you and our son." Mrs. Marudo answered. I automatically stood up and look at Dad.
"Are you serious?! Why? As far as I remember, we are enemies... I mean our companies are enemies. You are one of our big competitors." Am I sound frustrating? Di ko na ma-manage!!
"Ana, my daughter. Please sit down." I bit my lower lip and followed what Dad said "Yes, we are serious about this. In spite of the competition, sainyong dalawa lang ni Zanjoe kami nagkaunawaan."
ZOMG. This is really f* serious! I need a reason. Di bale nang maging matandang dalaga ako than to marry that boy feeler and be his wife. I don't want to spend with a person na hindi ko naman love. It's a no, no! I need to save myself. I need to get out from this situation. I need an acceptable reason in order that this arrange marriage thingy will not push through.
"I would like to follow you, Dad. But I'm sorry, I have already a boyfriend." I smiled bravely. Sana pasado 'to kay Dad.
"What? Since when, Ana Karylle?!" They are surprise. It's written all over their faces, specially Dad's. He pulled my arm then drag outside from the VIP reserved room.
"Explain."
"Uhm. Our relationship started a week ago. He courted me almost a year. I didn't told you about him bc I am planning to tell you on our first month pero mukhang napa-aga because of this matter. I'm sorry, Dad." I apologetically said.
"Fine. I will cut this arrange marriage plan temporarily but show me his face. I want to see him. I want to talk to him. I want to make sure na hindi paminta 'yang boyfriend mo. I don't want you to be an cover girl again. Don't get me wrong, I just want you to feel love and to be loved. Understand?" I nodded with a small smile. Dad told me to stay here and he got back inside.
Hooray, I succeeded! Daddy really loves me but I felt sorry for telling a lie for my own benefit. But wait... where will I get a boyfriend?! It's been 5 years since I got a boyfriend. I nibbled my lower lip while searching an idea from my inner part of my brain... and then, I saw an image of him from the back of my head. Right, he'll be the perfect cover up boyfriend for me. I'm gonna get ya, beks!;))

Hiiiii!!! It's been 3 months since I posted the intro. Sorry, if chappy one took long.
