As soon as my eyes fluttered open this morning they were closed just as quick.
I dreaded getting up, I was so comfy and warm I didn't want to leave my bed. But I did, since I made plans with Beverly to go shopping today. So, I got up and trudged over to my closet. Grabbing a black (of course) crop top and a pair of sweats, walking downstairs and skipping breakfast, fully aware that we were gonna grab something to eat when we went out, so I just grabbed a drink of water and headed back upstairs to put my hair in a messy bun and grab my wallet and shoving it in my backpack along with my camera in case I wanted to take a picture of something. It had been three weeks since anyone has talked to Eddie, and since anyone besides Bev and I talked to Bill. everyone was still pretty pissed about Neibolt.
I walked back downstairs to put on my sneakers and ran out the door, hopping on my bike and pedalling to Beverly's apartment.
Once I got there I noticed her perched on the fire escape and ran down to greet me when she noticed I was there.
"Hey hey hey" I greeted her, wrapping my arms around Bev's neck and she returned the gesture only to greet me as well.
"Hey n/n!" She beamed at me, we headed for my favourite clothes store.
We reached the little store and hopped off of our bikes, leaning them against the building and heading inside.
We both went to check out the jeans, I obviously went for black and ripped, since that was my style. "So Bevvie, have you hung out with any stuttering sweethearts lately?" I asked curiously, smirking mischievously.
"Yeah, yesterday actually, we got ice cream and hung out at the quarry, but we didn't swim" she explained, sighing dreamily right after she finished her sentence. "What about you? You hang out with any glasses wearing Trashmouth lately?" She retorted, picking up a pair of black jeans, examining them and putting them back.
"Well, not since last week when he wanted to go to the arcade, we didn't go to the arcade though, I didn't want to so we just ended up walking around town and talking shit about things we don't like." I said, shoving a pair of jeans back into the pile of ones exactly like that pair and finding something better. "I've hung out with him twice out of the six times he's asked me. I guess I don't know what to say when we hang out, so I make up excuses not to go" I continue, looking at her and frowning, cane just shrugged sympathetically.
"well, promise me that if he asks you to hang out again, you'll say yes. I know you want to, and you need to stop being so afraid of getting hurt. I know you can't help it, but you need to get out there a little more, it'll do you some good" she said, punching my shoulder after saying it'll do me some good. "I know Bev, but I'm just so afraid." I say quietly, picking my words carefully, not sure why though.
"Yeah I know, but promise me n/n" she says holding out her pinky, for a pinky swear of course.
I sighed exaggeratedly "fine, whatever" I say shaking pinkys with her.
She gasps and turns around to show me something.
"TRY IT ON" she demands, I give her a mean scowl and look at her pleading eyes before tearing the black dress out of her hands and walked to the change room. I came out nota even a minute later with the dress on and Beverly stared.
"In all the time I've known you, I've never ever seen you in a dress" she commented smiling.
"I know, cause I hate them and they fucking suck" I mutter so only she can hear.
"But you look so pretty" she argues, gesturing to me. I smiled sheepishly, before hiding my blush.
"Thanks but dresses are at really my thing" I said, looking at her with honest eyes.
"Did you even look in the mirror?" She asks, raising her eyebrows questioningly.
"No, I don't wanna see myself in a dress it's a nightmare." I tell her chuckling
"Have you ever even tried on the dresses in your closet?" She asked laughing slightly, and shaking her head.
"Well...no cause I don't like dresses" I muttered, pushing a strand of hair out of my face.
"Go look in the mirror" she demanded, pointing at a mirror mounted onto the wall. I groaned, walking over to it and looking myself up and down. I frowned but then it faded. I didn't hate it.

"Well?" She asked, pretending to be impatient but was smiling.
"I don't hate it" I whispered, hoping she wouldn't hear.
"What was that, I didn't quite catch that" she joked, putting a hand to her ear.
I laughed slightly, turning to her.
"I said I don't hate it, I actually don't hate it I kind of like it." I said, smiling slightly and pushing past her.
"Where are you going?" She asked me as I stopped and turned around to face her.
"To change and buy it" I stated as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.
She grinned happily, and laughed. "I fucking told you"
I laughed and changed into my original outfit of sweats and a crop top.
I put the dress back on the hanger and walked out of the fitting room. "You like it?" She giggled as I hit her lightly and told her to shut up.
I grabbed a pair of ripped jeans and we continued to look around,  I ended buying the dress and a black skirt cause I don't own any skirts what so ever.
I bought my stuff and Bev bought some ripped jeans cause she didn't own any.
We walked outside and grabbed our bikes. I shoved the stuff I bought in my bag and Beverly did the same with her stuff.
We rode our bikes to a near by breakfast place. It was still open since it wasn't 12:00 yet, it was only just after 11:15.
I don't know what it's called, I didn't look.
Bev and I got pancakes and decided to share cause we weren't all that hungry to eat our own. I ate too much yesterday and I'm still almost full.
We ate our pancakes and talked about anything and everything, joking and arguing but laughing about the disagreement a moment later. It was fun. We finished our food by eleven thirty and left to go see what else there is to do.
We decided just to head to the arcade since it was near and when we thought of something to do we would leave and go do that. We were mid-laugh when we saw Richie at an arcade game, not noticing us. I stopped Beverly in her tracks, pulling her back and trying to walk away, she hadn't noticed him yet.
"What? What's wrong?" She asked, stopping voluntarily. "N/n? Are you okay?" She asked worriedly at my sudden stopping of laughter and not walking anymore.
"Richie's there, he'll just start a fight with you, and I just want to have fun" I said, frowning at him from the distance. But as soon I had seen him my heart melted and its rate quickened. "I just want a good fun day with you today, so can we not?" I ask quietly, looking at him and wanting to cry that I can't over there with Beverly without starting a fight.
"Of course, I don't want a fight either." She stated, I grabbed her hand and started walking, and then stopped.
"What?" She asked curiously.
"Um I was just thinking, what if we sneak by and go watch a movie? I mean he's not paying attention, besides so ,Amy people are walking in cause it's a public place, and you don't look up every time someone walks past you, cespecially when it's crowded. So why don't we sneak past?" I explain, she stops to take in what I said, and her eyes widened realizing the logic of my plan.
"Oh my god that's really smart actually, let's do it." She replied and her grip on my hand tightened and we walked back towards the movie theatre/ arcade.

Richie's POV

I was playing street fighters at the arcade by myself when I feel....a disturbance. And I don't mean like a disturbance in the force, like in Star Wars. But a good disturbance. I look up but there's no one there that could've done it. I look all around multiple times but I see nothing out of the ordinary.
What is going on? It was a nice disturbing, like that feeling you get when you know that there's someone there that should be in front of you, but isn't. Y'know? No? Okay, moving on if that's just me that feels that way.

Y/n POV
We successfully walked past Richie without being seen, but I noticed he looked around seemingly as if he knew we were there. I didn't mention this to Bev though. Because maybe it was just a coincidence? Maybe.
We decide to see back to the future two. (Back to the future actually came out in November not August, but that's okay, we can pretend for the purposes of the story)
We lined up to get popcorn and drinks, talking till we made it to the front.
"Hi can we get-" Bev talked while I looked around the room, not wanting to speak to anyone I didn't know. I would but Bev offered, so I didn't argue. She handed me my popcorn and drink and I smiled at her, "thanks Bev" I said, as we walked towards the theatre room where the movie we were seeing was being played.
It was so good! I loved the first one and I knew that I would love the second one just as much.
By the time it was over it was one two thirty and we decided to call it quits and just go ice cream and go to the quarry and take pictures. Throughout the time we spent together today I had snapped a few photos of us to remember these moments. And now we were gonna go take more pictures so I can take them home and draw them, along with the pictures of Bev and I.
We walked out of the theatre and I put my sweater hood up as we walked by Richie. Why is he still here? Does he really have nothing better to do with his time? I mean, I know it's fun except for when you've been there for a while alone, I mean for an hour or two it's fun by yourself but then it's not.
But Richie this time looked at us just as we were walking out. "Bev?" He asked as he saw her hair and outfit and knew it was her, "y/n?" Oh god, maybe Bev will cover for me and say it's not me.
"Hey Richie, I thought you were mad at me" Bev said turning around, holding me so I didn't.
"I am, but I wanna talk to hot stuff" he retorted, he sounded like he was pretending to be mad, he sounded like he was trying too hard to come off as though he didn't miss us all hanging out.
"This isn't 'hot stuff' this is my cousin, her name, is Jamie" she informed him and I silently applaud her for her awesome name creation. She picked my favourite name. That's what I wanted to make my future adoptive daughter.
"Really? I'm pretty sure that's y/n" he said, accusingly.
"It's not, god Richie she's my little cousin her name is Jamie as I already stated. She's from New York" she argued,
"Then why won't she look at me instead of keeping her face hidden in your shoulder?" He pushed, oh my god dude. Please say what I think will make him shut up.
"She has social anxiety and is really shy, so if you've got a problem with it shut the fuck up and stop talking." Beverly shouted, turning me around and we walked out, leaving Richie there.
"Thank you!" I said when we were walking our bikes down the street.
"Yeah no problem, I had to do it, he was being an ass and I had just hoped we wouldn't have to deal with him" she complained, shaking her head lightly. "and it would've been worse if he knew it was you because he would've wanted you to hang with him."
"Yeah, which is why he didn't need to know." I stated, as we reached the quarry and dropped our bikes, I pulled out my camera and we took turns taking pictures of the scenery, and the rocks, the sand and flowers.
We took a few pictures of each other being weird too, thinking it would be funny, and it was. We laughed as looked through the ridiculous photos of us being stupid.
After about an hour of that we just sat on the rocks and talked about random shit, having so much fun as we laughed the entire afternoon until around five o'clock and decided to head home. We spent two and a half hours at the quarry and now it was time to go home. I dropped her off at her apartment and went home, looking at my favourite picture of Beverly and I and I and drawing it to give to Beverly as a token of our friendship and to show her how much she means to me. I script led a small note in the bottom left corner and signed my name on the bottom right corner.
The little said, 'I love you past the farthest Galaxy and hope to never lose you'
I put my pencil down and put the sketch in my backpack, I would give it to her next time we hung out.

A/N bye
