"Lauren, be sure to be respectful! And Y/N, please don't hesitate to call if you need anything. She can be a handful sometimes, but we love her. Also, if you don't want her being crazy I suggest you don't give her junk food or anything sugary. That makes her even more crazy." Clara rambled on about taking care of Lauren and I couldn't help but chuckle at the older woman. Lauren was running around the front lawn, completely excited about spending the night with me. When I saw the mother about to keep going on I held my hands up and called her name out.

"Clara, it'll be okay, I promise." I placed a hand on her shoulder as I couldn't help but chuckle again. "I'll make sure she's okay and we'll be fine. I promise to call if I need to but I'm sure I can handle it. I'll let you know how she does in the morning. You don't have to worry." I smiled reassuringly as Clara sighed in defeat with a nod. Lauren squealed and ran up to me before jumping on my back. I easily caught her by the backs of her legs but Clara tried to scold the younger girl. "Clara, really. I'm okay. I can handle it."

"I'm sorry Y/N, I'm just worried." The older woman sighed while rubbing her forehead. I could feel Lauren wrap her around around my neck as her head rested on top of mine. I felt the shorter girl poke around my face which eventually elicited a grin from her mother. "I guess I'll let you girls go now, I'll try to stop worrying so much." Clara breathed out. "Just be good Lauren."

"I w-will." Lauren giggled from above me. Clara nodded and waved as I turned around with Lauren still on my back. I made my way to the car where I helped the smaller girl get down so that she could climb into the car. When she was settled I made my way to the driver's side and watched as Lauren waved at her parents frantically from the window. She yelled out her goodbyes until I pulled away from the curb so that we could head to my house. It was nerve wracking because I didn't really know what to do to make this fun for Lauren, but I was hoping that what I had planned would be enough for her to have fun. When we got out of her neighborhood, Lauren grabbed my hand so that she could play with my fingers while I drove.

"What do you say we go get some pizza and ice cream?" I asked the shorter girl next to me once we came up to a red light. Lauren looked up at me in surprise, almost as if she didn't believe me. She nodded her head erratically and I couldn't help but awe at the sight. "But shh, don't tell your mom." I placed my finger on my lips for exaggeration causing the raven haired beauty to giggle loudly. The light turned green again and I changed courses so that we could head towards the pizza parlor near my house. There was an ice cream place right next to it which was actually extremely convenient for me most of the time when I felt like eating out. When we made it to the pizza place, we got out and Lauren immediately came to my side so that she could grab my hand in hers.

I could tell she was nervous with all of the people so I squeezed her hand reassuringly. We entered the pizza parlor where we were greeted by a server. I felt Lauren grip onto my arm while stepping almost completely behind me. I smiled at the server as she asked if we wanted a table. "No thank you, I just wanted to order for carryout and we can pick it up later when it's done." I informed her and she nodded her head. She led us to the front counter where we ordered whatever pizza we wanted. I turned to face a timid Lauren who surveyed her surroundings with wide eyes. "What kind of pizza do you want?" I asked softly, catching her attention.

"P-P-Pepperoni and e-extra ch-cheese." She stuttered out nervously. I nodded with a smile before turning around to order exactly what she wanted. When the order was in, they gave us the time it would be ready before I led Lauren out of the building as quick as I could. I didn't want her to be uncomfortable more than she already had to. The cool breeze hit my face once we walked out of the building and I stopped Lauren before she walked into the ice cream parlor right next door. She turned to me in confusion as she fiddled with her hands. "Di-Did I do s-something w-wrong?"

"No of course not Laur, but I just wanted to make sure you were okay." I placed my hands on Lauren's cheeks to get her to meet my eyes. When she did I offered her a smile to which she returned with an overly wide grin. She nodded her head several times before jumping up and clinging onto me in a hug. I laughed and caught myself by taking a step backwards so that I didn't drop Lauren. "Let's get you some ice cream then we can head to my house, sound good?" Again, Lauren nodded her head but she didn't move to let go of me. I lowered her to the ground and peeled her off my body before leading her inside the ice cream parlor, her hand clutched tightly in my own.

Lauren squealed loudly once we got inside the shop and she immediately let go of my hand to run up to the glass showcasing all of the different kinds of ice cream. I smiled to myself and followed the smaller girl as she surveyed all of the flavors. The cashier looked at me while we waited for Lauren to pick something out and I shook my head. "Just get a quart of whatever she wants." I pointed to Lauren causing the cashier to smile and nod. Again we waited for Lauren to finish going through every flavor until she finally picked one. While the quart was getting packed, Lauren came up to me and wrapped her arms around my waist.

"Can I- Can I get another-another ice c-cream?" She mumbled against my chest. I knew that saying no would upset her, and either way I wanted to spoil her since I knew she wasn't really allowed to eat junk food all of the time. I caved in with a sigh and a nod which made Lauren jump in her spot in excitement. She clapped to herself and went to find another flavor just as the first quart was done getting packed. I made my way to the cashier who finished packing both quarts so that I could pay. When we were finished, I led Lauren back to the pizza parlor so that we could pick up the finished pizza. I handed Lauren the bag containing the two quarts of ice cream so that I could grab the pizza and pay, where eventually we walked out of the building to head back into my car. I opened the door for Lauren to climb into the passenger's seat before I set the bag on the floor by her feet, and the pizza on her lap. When she was settled in her seat I made my way to the driver's side and slid in to begin driving towards my house.

It didn't take long at all to arrive at my house and when we got there, I helped Lauren carry in all of our food for the night. I unlocked the front door and as soon as Lauren walked inside ahead of me, she stopped with a loud gasp and wide eyes. I bit my lip at her reaction, hoping she would like what I had set up. I tried to make a fort out of pretty much everything in my living room for the smaller girl. When she still didn't move from her spot, I took the initiative to set the pizza on the counter and put the ice cream in the freezer so that it wouldn't melt. I turned around to face Lauren once more and it seemed she finally snapped out of her daze as she met my eyes. "You did- You did this?" She asked while stepping forward to look at the large fort. I nodded my head and rubbed the back of my neck nervously until Lauren squealed and ran to the fort, where she jumped inside out of my sight.

I laughed to myself before grabbing the pizza and making my way to the fort as well. Lauren was cuddling into all of the blankets and pillows to the point where she didn't even notice I climbed inside the fort. I grabbed the remote and turned on the TV, playing a movie Lauren had told me she liked. When she heard the familiar voices, she looked up at the TV before finally noticing I was here. I chuckled to myself and opened the pizza box to grab a slice. I handed it to Lauren and she happily took it from my hands before taking a bite. I took a piece for myself and the two of us ate in silence, besides the almost constant giggling from Lauren. I couldn't help but smile at the smaller girl, my heart fluttering at both the sight and the sound. After a couple pieces of pizza, I laid down next to Lauren who was still eating since she took her time.

She was probably only one and a half pieces in, but I could only smile at the smaller girl. Eventually she left her half eaten pizza in the box before she jumped up to cuddle into my chest. I chuckled lightly before wrapping my arms around the smaller girl. The only sound throughout the house was Lauren's laugh along with the movie that was close to ending. When it finally did, we watched the credits roll as Lauren got out of the fort to check out the stack of movies I had next to the TV. I stood up as well, taking the pizza box into the kitchen where I placed it in the fridge. I heard the shuffling of DVD boxes in the living room as I grabbed one of the quarts of ice cream from the freezer. "Laur, do you want some ice cream now?" I called out so that the shorter girl could hear me. I grabbed two spoons anyway, pretty much knowing her answer.

"Yes pl-please Y-Y/N/N." Lauren answered back just as I walked into the living room. I set the ice cream and spoons in the fort before helping Lauren pick out a movie. When she found one, she turned to me with the movie clutched tightly to her chest. "Can we- Can we watch this-this one?" She smiled widely and I looked to see that she had picked out Finding Dory. I nodded my head and took the movie from her hands so that I could place it in the DVD player. Lauren made her way back into the fort where she was already opening the ice cream just as I finished putting the movie in. I laid back down next to the raven haired girl on my left side so that I could also eat the ice cream. As I tried to take a bite, Lauren moved the container away from my spoon.

I looked up at the green eyed girl to see her clutching the ice cream to her chest with a pout. "Oh come on, Lauren. Can't I have some too?" The smaller girl shook her head while continuing to eat. I put my spoon down and pretended to cry in an exaggerated manner causing Lauren to look over at me. I could see the panic in her eyes as I squinted through my own eyes to give the impression that my eyes were closed so that it was believable. I made the sound of sobbing until Lauren put the ice cream on the floor before she crawled over to me.

I felt her hands on my face before she wrapped her arms around my neck, pulling me into her chest. "I'm sorry- I'm sorry." She panicked to which I immediately stopped my act. I tried to move away to reassure her but the smaller girl kept my head clutched at her chest. "I didn't mean to- I didn't mean to make you-to make you cry." I finally managed to pull myself out of Lauren's hold only to see that her eyes were quickly filling with tears.

"No Lauren don't cry please. I was just kidding." I quickly reassured which made Lauren stop freaking out. She looked at me with her wide green eyes that were still almost full with tears. "You can have your ice cream, it's okay. I was just kidding." Lauren seemed to snap out of her daze as she moved away to sit in her original spot, her arms crossed over her chest with a glare on her face pointed towards the ground. I sat up in my spot as well to face the smaller girl who didn't bat an eye at my movement. "Lauren." I sung her name as I inched closer to her.

The closer I got, the further Lauren tried to move away from me but to no avail. I moved my hands to her sides and lightly dug my nails in the skin. Lauren laughed loudly and tried to get away so she wouldn't be tickled but I held her down in her spot. "Y/N n-n-no!" Her loud giggles sounded throughout the room as she tried to push my hands away. I finally gave mercy and stopped my tickling so that the younger girl could catch her breath. Even when I pulled away Lauren was still trying to stay mad at me.

"You can't laugh and then try to be mad at me." I joked and poked her side again to make her squirm. Lauren swatted my hand away causing me to raise an eyebrow in surprise. In amusement, I tried again but got the same result. I gave up eventually knowing that I didn't want to piss the younger girl off more than I already had. Lauren continued to sit in her spot with her arms crossed over her chest but her glare now faced the TV, so that she could watch the movie. I chuckled quietly to myself at the sight and quickly snuck a bite of the ice cream. I went to put my spoon away knowing that I wouldn't be able to get another and when I returned to the fort, I planted a wet kiss on Lauren's forehead where she neutralized her face and uncrossed her arms before looking up at me. I laid down on my side and gauged the younger girl's response in nervousness.

Eventually a blush started to form on Lauren's face as she bashfully bowed her head and avoided my eyes. "Why did you- Why did you do th-that?" She whispered and picked at one of the blankets underneath her. I placed my hand over hers and intertwined our fingers which caused Lauren to finally look up and meet my eyes. I tried to offer a reassuring smile as I spoke up.

"I just wanted to make you feel better. I really didn't mean to upset you, I was just messing around." I explained quietly and it seemed that the movie was now long forgotten in the background of the living room. Lauren shrugged her shoulders before beginning to play with my fingers that were still intertwined with hers. I ducked my head to try to mess with her once she dropped her head again and I could see the outline of a smile coating her lips. The sight caused a smile of my own to surface.

"Why didn't you- Why didn't you kiss me on the- on the lips then?" Lauren whispered and I couldn't help the widening of my eyes. I honestly kind of thought she forgot about all of that. I stuttered over an answer because I didn't know what to say to the emerald eyed beauty. It's not that I didn't want to because believe me that's all I'd be doing right now if I could but I didn't want to feel like I was taking advantage of Lauren. It was even worse because I didn't know how I was supposed to explain that to her in a way that she would understand. I was surprised once the younger girl crawled over into my lap where she sat herself down.

"Lauren-" I cut myself off when I couldn't find anything else to say. There was nothing I could say at this moment. I knew she was going to kiss me again but I didn't know if I should let it happen a second time. When Lauren grabbed my cheeks and leaned in to press her lips against mine, I knew I couldn't deny her anything that she wanted from me. I wrapped my arms around her waist and tilted my head slightly to the right as I felt myself getting lost in the kiss. I almost wanted to groan in disapproval once I felt Lauren pull away all to quickly for my liking. I had to prevent myself from leaning forward so that we could continue our kiss.

I opened my eyes to see that Lauren still had hers closed. "You don't go around kissing everyone you see, do you?" I joked but Lauren quickly shook her head. Her emerald eyes opened to meet mine as she sat back on my lap, keeping her hands on my cheeks. She soon moved to wrap her arms around my neck to pull me forward so that our foreheads were touching slightly. I smiled at the smaller girl who returned the gesture while a small giggle fell from her lips.

"You're the- You're the only person I've-I've kissed on the- on the lips." Lauren's raspy voice rang throughout my ears and I wanted to shiver at the sound. "I've never- I've never wanted to kiss- to kiss anyone else." The raven haired beauty blushed under my gaze. I couldn't help the immense pride that shot throughout my body at her words. In such a short amount of time, this girl managed to weasel her way into my life to give me a whole new sense of purpose to what I do. All I want to do now is shower her with love and affection. I know that her being autistic didn't change anything for me, it was just another part of her that I could learn to love and work with. I knew I'd be the only one that was up to the task, and I was actually proud to admit it. If Lauren really wanted me in her life, then I would be more than happy to stay. Even if it turned out that she only wanted me as a doctor, I could be that for her. I wanted to be anything that she wanted me to be, and nothing would change that.

This story is still hard to write but does anyone have any suggestions on where this should go? 👀

So I forgot to mention this in the other update but ya girl is officially off the market now thanks to g_r_07 If anyone wants to fight, we'll fight. I ain't taking no more bullshit from anyone else trying to ruin what we have. This be my ride or die kinda bitch, and I will be damned if I let someone get in the way of us. I honestly didn't think that when we met, I'd be sporting a promise ring which will someday be replaced with an engagement ring, and then a wedding ring. I love you more than words can express, and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you ❤️😘
