(After School, Shibuya, Train)
Akira, Luna, Ann, and Ryuji were all in a train, heading towards Shibuya where they would go to Madarame's atelier and speak with Yusuke.
"Phantom Thieves goin by train... this ain't any different from how I get home from school", Ryuji said with a bit of boredom in his tone
"The train is the fastest way to go, plus, we can bring pets on here", Ann stated
"Hey, who're you calling a pet", Morgana asked angrily
"Dude, be quiet, we didn't pay the pet fare", Ryuji quietly shouted
"I'm the one guiding you to your destination, you should be calling me master", Morgana stated; before anything else was said, a little girl walked up to them
"Ooh, kitty", she said happily, pointing at Morgana
"Uh-oh", Luna muttered sharing a look of panic with the others
"Is that your pet, Mister, I heard it meowing", she asked curiously
"It's a stuffed animal", Akira responded, as everyone's panicked look went away.
"Yeah, it's just a toy", Ann stated
"It meows when you press on its head", Luna stated again
"You heard them, Akira, press on i's head", Ryuji said
"This is ridi...", Morgana began but was interrupted by Akira who pressed on his head
"M-mewww...", Morgana meowed with boredom
"Wowweeeee, again, again", the little girl cheered as Akira pressed Morgana's head gently
"Purrrr....mew, meow...", Morgana meowed playing along
"Ahahaha, it's so cute, I wanna hear it again", she said but was interrupted by the intercom
"The next stop is Shibuya, Shibuya, doors will open on the left side".
"Oh, this is our stop, well, see you later, bye bye", Ann said with a smile
"Mm-hm, bye bye", the little girl said as she ran off and everyone got off the train and made their way to Madarame's Shack.
(After School, Shibuya, Madarame's Shack)
"Is... that it", Ryuji asked confused; looking at the building, it looked run down, almost as if it was abandoned.
"We're at the right address..." Ann said looking at her phone
"The doorplate does say Madarame", Luna stated as everyone walked up to the house and Ann rang the doorbell
"Who is it, Sensei is currently...", Yusuke voice said but was interrupted by Ann
"Um, it's Takamaki", Ann said
"I'll be right out", Yusuke stated quickly, then shut off the intercom.
"People really do live here", Ryuji said in amazement then the door opened
"Takamaki-sa... and you three", Yusuke said his happy tone turning bored
"We need to talk about this", Ryuji said as he held up his phone, showing Yusuke the post of the rumor about Madarame, only for Yusuke to laugh
"Preposterous, not only is the plagiarism impossible, but abuse, if he hated children so much, he would never allow pupils into his home", Yusuke shouted, "and I'm the one residing here and studying under him, I'm saying it's not true, so it's beyond doubt",
"You might be lyin' about that", Ryuji stated but only made Yusuke even angrier than he already was.
"That... that is utter rubbish; I had no family when sensei took me in and raised me into what you see now", Yusuke shouted "if you continue to ridicule the man I owe my life to, you will then rue this day",
"You really think that", Ann asked
"Yusuke, what's the matter, I heard you yelling", Madarame asked confused, approaching the door
"These people are slandering you with baseless rumors", Yusuke explained as Madarame looked at everyone, later sighing
"...Forgive them Yusuke, they must've heard some bad rumors and came for their friend's safety", Madarame stated calmly
"...Understood, Sensei", Yusuke said, his anger going away, being replaced with calmness
"Well, even I doubt I could be liked by everyone", Madarame said with a laugh
"That's not what we meant", Ann stated
"I'm sorry to have butt in on your conversation, however I do have neighbors around, won't you please keep it down, now, if you'll excuse me", Madarame said as he walked away
"That was discourteous of me... I'm sorry... I know, I think you'll be able to believe in sensei if you saw that painting", Yusuke stated as he pulled out his phone and showed a picture of a beautiful painting; the painting showed a woman in a red sweater, and she had a gentle face.
"It's his maiden work, it's titled Sayuri", Yusuke said
"Sayuri", Luna asked, wanting to know more
"This was the painting that inspired me to become an artist", Yusuke explained
"It's so beautiful", Ann said as Yusuke then put his phone away
"When I saw you, I had the same inspiration and I just had to draw you", Yusuke stated then he stopped for a brief moment, "I'm sorry that you took the time to come here today, but I must assist sensei today, I hope that we can discuss this another time, if you'll excuse me then",
"Didn't they seem nice", Ryuji asked after Yusuke closed the door, leaving them be
"Could it have been a different person", Ann asked
"How's the Meta-Nav", Morgana asked as Akira pulled out his phone.
"Match found"
"Hey, the app", Ryuji said in shock
"It picked up our conversation", Luna said curiously
"Madarame has a palace too, but why", Ann asked confused
"Madarame, plagiarism, and shack seem to be the key words", Morgana stated, "but were just missing what Madarame mistakes this shack for to enter his palace",
"You mean like how Kamoshida thought the school was his castle", Ann asked as Morgana nodded his head.
"That's right, let's try some random guesses", Morgana stated
"How about castle", Ann asked
"No match found"
"Then what about prison", Ryuji asked
"No match found"
"Jail, warehouse, guidance council office, farm", Ryuji asked
"No match found"
"Not a single hit", Ryuji said, a hint of sadness in his tone
"Could it be a museum", Akira and Luna said together, catching the two off guard and causing both of them to blush in embarrassment
"Input accepted, searching for route to destination"
"Whoa, really", Ryuji asked as then the Meta-Nav activated
"Beginning Navigation"
(Metaverse, Madarame's Palace)
"Hey, when did you activate the nav, you surprised me", Mona asked
"Didn't have much of a choice, I think we just happened to get it right", Skull stated as everyone looked around, a giant museum was in sight, and a long line of people waiting to get inside
"Let's go check it out", Panther asked
"Don't museum's usually have traps for intruders especially us Phantom Thieves", Light asked
"Definitely, be on guard as we go in", Joker stated as everyone continued inside; entering the museum through an open skylight, the security was off and everyone saw moving paintings of Madarame's pupils, even the one they discovered and met in Mementos and another of... Yusuke; when everyone entered the main room of the museum, everyone then saw the truth about Madarame's plagirism; unfortunately, security had caught them and all were forced to leave.
(Real World, Evening, Texting)
Ann- Would you forgive someone unconditionally if you owe their life to them... I'm not so sure anymore
R- What're you bringing this up for
Ann- According to Kitagawa-kun, Madarame isn't a problem.
A- What do you mean
L- Is something wrong
Ann- I mean, I know Madarame is a bad person, but still...maybe I'm so hesitant because I've haven't met any of his victims
R- Yeah I guess that parts different from what happened with Kamoshida
Ann- This might be an extreme line of thinking... but if an even person isn't causing trouble... is there really a point in us stepping in
R- You got a point, so we're gonna let Yusuke decide if Madarame's worth going after it not... I dunno
A- Could you ask Yusuke, Ann
Ann- Ok, got it, let's talk more after school tomorrow
