Hey, well, I want it to be my idea. Im not going to take Rick Riordans idea with Camp Half Blood, and Im trying to make it as different as possible, minus the mythology stuff like Demi Gods, Hunters, Monsters, Gods, Titans, etc. Capture the Flag was Ricks idea, so instead it will be a different game, probably. Please tell me if you think that anything belongs to Rick, and I'll look it up and clarify it.
Summary: Welcome to Half Blood Academy, a place Half Bloods come to train and grow up. Its located in a small town in Alberta, so its easily covered by the mist, on the Muskeg Creek Trails, near the Elementry School. It can easily be mistaken for a house or cottage, but is deep down the trails, its no question in a small town that someone could just live there.
HBA is a day and boarding school, where classes depend on your godly parent, and your brothers and sisters arent always on your team for man hunt. With teachers like Chiron, the trainer of the gods, Senior School Kids, who can hate you because of your family, and the occasional gods, who can hate their neices and nephews.
This series follows Layna, a daughter of Hades, and her friends Kaila, a daughter of Aglaea (the youngest of the Charities, who are the children of Dionysus and Aphrodite, making Kaila a half blood, cause her mom is a minor goddess), Cole, a son of Iris, Meggie, a daughter of Ares, and the brother of Oracle Tanya, Devyn, a son of Oneiroi, the god of Dreams. Also, I cant forget, Holly, a Hunter of Artemis, whose black and silver outfit shows shes a true daughter of Hades.
Always in Layna POV, starts the first day of school when she is 14, and its her second year at HBA.

I passed the elementry school, Landing Trail, while I carried my heavy bags on each shoulder. They didnt start for a couple weeks, so I was good for people seeing me go onto the trails behind their school.
My father, Hades, didnt like me using my powers to get to places during the day, and I was already late for school. So, I didnt risk comeing tonight.I smiled as I heard the guitair in the distance. If I looked up, I bet I could see the faint smoke in the distance from the lunch time camp fire, which was a tradition for first day and holidays, while every class did something special (Apollo's is celebrating with music.)
While I passed the playground and entered the surrounding woods, I wondered what my brother is getting me to do this year. Last year, he got me do raise the fire and bring out shadow men, the shadows of other people, so he could rap and dance with the shadows. It wouldve been awesome, if he could rap.
I only have one sibling, Luke, who is a year older. He looks a little like me in body type and facial features, like high cheek bones, full lips, musceled arms and stomachs and almond eyes. But I had long, straight, blonde hair and black eyes, while he had piercing blue eyes and black shaggy hair. All our other siblings who all have different but, yet, the same features, all kinda died.
There used to be 6 of us. Luke, Tara, Kelly, Jess, Darek and I. But Hades are always the first chosen to do dangerous deeds and quests because we are unliked by most of the Gods, because of our bone headed father, who keeps his "Prine of the Underworld" with him in the palace, claiming I come back and be his princess. I never counted that freak, Jordan, as my brother. We may be his kids, but we are loners at school. Except for the few kids who actually bother to learn our names, the rest stay away and think we are some evil, dark, goth kids who have no friends, yet people challenge us and want us on their team for Man Hunt, even though we know its only cause they want to win.
Well, I'm probably the most popular Hades kid in the universe. I have 4 friends and then my brother. He has 2, and if we all hang out together, we actually get talked to, but thats not a regular thing, cause his friends hate Meggie, a daughter of Ares.
"Layna!" I heard a voice call. I was still a good kilometer away from the gates, who else would be late besides Luke? I have no idea, cause this was a girls voice.
I turned to see the rustling of the leaves then a flash of silver. Next thing I knew a small 12 year old girl, wearing a black and silver dress with a small silver tiara stuck in her long curly black hair, was next to me. She smiled, her cheek bones rising to her black eyes. Her little quiver bounced on her back as she jumped to hug me, her hair smelling like pine and death, all good and bad.
How could I forget my youngest sister? "Holly!" I screamed. She left HBA a few years ago to join Artemis. I dont blame her, she gets way more attenion and acceptence when shes out of the Hades class. Now she is co-lutendant of the Hunters, and comes to visit us every once in a while. Behind her was a bunch of other little hunters, from ages 8 to 13.
I bowed to them, and Holly rolled her eyes. "Where are the older hunters?" I asked. They usually run in two seperate groups for hunting, but are otherwise together.
"Already at the school." she walked ahead of me as I understood her words.
"Coming?" She asked.
"You're staying?" I asked, excited.
"Yeah," she laughed. "For a week or two. Its not that surprising, is it?"
I laughed and walked up with her. As we reached the barrier, I waved my hand throught the invisible wall, seeing the golden gates in the distance. Only people who can see through the mist will see the school, and I aways have to check if its still up. The trails here are running/skiing trails we run, as do the mortals, for training. Our school is in the middle of the 5k trail, so if the older mortals come running through and happen to see our school right off the side of the trail, there will be trouble, as I can already see the firre breathing monsters and pegesi flying aroung, even though I'm down the hill.
"Stop being so obsessive!" My sister said, pulling me up to open the gates.
They were golden, 10 feet high gates, with the little points at the top, and statues of Zues and Hera on each side. In the middle was a plate, that read
"Demi Θεός Ακαδημία, το σπίτι των κυνηγών
-Δεν θνητοί"
It supposed to say: Demi God Academy, Home of the Hunters, no mortals, but directly translated is Demi god Academy, house hunters, no Mortals. Zues wanted to keep it, and Zues gets what Zues wants.
I murmered my dads name, and the gates opened, sending my name through the school as I checked off my name on the clipboard that was handed to me by the gate-man, Argus. His hundred eyes look over the pack of huntresses and he bowed, handing them the clipboard, each of their names being said as they checked their names.
"Layna!" A voice called from the school when I went up the path that led to the old school and the dorms. Off to the side was the fire, and I waved to the half friendly kids who waved back. Then there was the trail opening some girls were coming off of, the older hunters, and the Nymphs behind them, to sit by the fire. I passes the creek, that flowe under the bridge the path dissapeared to, and the archery wing, on the south east corner. In the back of the school were more forests and a clearing for sword fighting and spear throwing. The stables were to the right of the school, opposite the fire.
Two big arms came around me as I stared at my home. I smiled as I felt them shake and say, "My Little Belly Dancer! Finally! Your here!"
I looked up and saw my 5'8 brother, Luke, who was a year rounder. He stayed during the summer too, for the summer 'school' program they ran here. I barely stayed the summer. I had friends at home in California, who didnt know who my father was.
He hugged Holly, and they headed off through the corridor to the dorms. The grand stair case was packed with people talking as they came down at the bell. I moved out of the way into the little window space as everyone passed.
"So, same room?" I asked Chiron as he came with the rest of the kids, his curly brown beard turne to Luke walking with the much shorter hunters.
"Of course Little Layna." He winked. Im not that little anymore. I was so short when I came here 2 years ago, and the nickname stuck, I was known, to my friends, as Lil' L, or Belly Dancer.
"Thanks master Chiron," I said as I passed his horse half and headed to the end of the main hall and turning to another with a smaller stair case. The carpeted steps were soft and familiar, and the window on the loft was shiny with the painted glass, the picture of my friend's mom, Iris, her long brown hair shining in the moonlight.
I turned up the last of the stairs and saw the lounge for the "Big Three" kids. To the left was Poseidon's wing, with tridents and fountains everywhere. I waved to my cousins, who were already fooling around with the water.
To the right was Zues's wing. It was full of minor lighting bolts and eagles. I could hear them, but only saw my 7 year old cousin sitting, playing with the eagle who sat on her finger. Isabeau. I felt bad for her, her mother died while bringing her here, and Zues didnt take it well. That was years ago, though, and shes a year rounder. She got close to Luke and she looked up to him. Not many cousins liked us, they talked to us and stuff, but usually ran off. The girls, and occasional guy, were the ones who sat and talked with me and Isabeau, who was also a loner, with the exception of Luke and Holly.
I looked straight ahead. Hades Wing. Full of black and bones and fire. I'm usually no goth, Luke wears black sometimes, but we arent depressing people. We like to fight, but no, not depressing. It didnt matter though, I felt at home in the hall my father designed, and people think thats wierd. Even wierder than Ares' wing. Even wierder than the fact my dad almost never got a wing.
I could hear stomping from above as I walke into my room, always at the end of the hall next to the bathroom. The Hunters were right above us, along with Athena and Hermes. Hunters and Hermes? Always a racket.
Bottom floor was a bunch of minor gods like Iris, Eris, Persephone, Erebus, Nyx, Nemesis, etc, because they were all the children of two gods, usually, and their kids were cousins, making it easier for them to be roomed together. 3rd floor, the west part of the school, was Ares, Dyonisus, and Apollo. 4th floor was any miror gods or goddesses who came here. 5th Demeter, Hephaestus and Aphrodite (Aphrodite insisted to be on the same floor as Hephaestus' kids, something about makeovers and help?). Then, finally, floor 6 and 7 were anyother minor gods and satyrs and stuff.
There was also a hall downstairs for Chiron, any gods who visit, like Aphrodite who is here for the year as a teacher, hope shes not mine, the oracle and the infermery.
My room had a wooden door and two little windows next to it. The far wall was made of windows and it had a window seat, a bunk bed, an empty wall, the closet near the door, a mirror, and a desk and computer. This was my room last year too, as the others were taken, but not anymore, and I always thought this room was... me. Pink and black, preppy yet Hades. Luke's was next to mine, and the five on the other side of the hall and the three on this side were empty. We both got our own bathroom, though, and got to pick from four of them.
I threw my stuff down and looked out the window, searching for my friends. I got the perfec view of the fire, and as soon as the waving freaks caught my eye, they finally knew that, too.
I smiled and ran down the stairs, not even making it to the the door when my four friends Kaila, Devyn, Cole and Meggie rushed through hugging me.
Devyn was the son of Oneiroi, the god of Dreams. He was kinda my boyfriend, kinda meaning we flirt and like eachother, alot, but never been on a real date or anything. His room was on the sixth floor and his powers were entering peoples dreams (dream walking), and can make people fall asleep, as well as influence their dreams. He had a sexy smile that can make anyone melt, black hair that was spike a little and color changing eyes, as he could... like I said... influence. His sister, Tanya, was his twin, and four years ago, when they were 10, she was asked to be the oracle, as she had a power to have half blood dreams (where they can sometimes see whats happening somewhere else or what can happen in the future) when she was awake.
Cole was the son of Iris, the goddess of rainbows. He had reddish-orange hair and a sweet smile. His eyes were a baby blue and his powers were to send messages through his mother anytime he wants, and he can create rainbows and wings with practice. His floor was on the first floor and his wing was one of the least crowded.
Kaila was the daughter Aglaea, the youngest of the Graces, and the goddess of charm, nature, beauty, human creativity and fertility. Her, her siblings and her cousins (children of the other Graces) were snuck from the underworld, as their mothers were only allowed out once or twice a year, and thats when they went with mortals. Her room is one the seventh floor, and her powers include charming, interacting with nature, and creativy of all kinds. Her brown hair flows to her butt, and her soft smile and green eyes really give her the extra looks.
Finally, Meggie, the daughter of Ares, the god of war. She is on the third floor, west, and had powers like able to create a spear with any material, even materialize one, and to be determined to do anything, as well as causing fear to anyone who looked in her brown eyes that were freckled with red. She had long red hair, that went straight, to mid back. She had freckles, but amazing curves and feature that made even me, the mysterious girl, jeleous. She was tiny, and almost always had her fierce face on, along with her knife that was always strapped to her arm.
"Hey," I said as I pulled away. Meggie's knife gave me an idea. "Let me go get my sword, and we can go get some early practice, hu? Maybe fight some cockey Zues kids?"
That one thing they cant resist. They all looked at eachother, then laughed their yes.
They all took off after saying we'd meet at the clearing after Maggie and I talked some Zues's into it. Devyn stayed behind and alked with me.
"Hey, girly, whats up?" He smiled.
"Not too much. Getting ready for another year of stupid Demi Gids and their hateful parents."
He put his arm around me, shocking me. We squished together to fit through the doorway to the staris. "Relax."
I did. We passed some kids on the second floor, most likely Hermes and Erebus, they love to pull pranks, even though they didnt live on the second floor. I walked down near Hades' wing when a guy who was laughing with his friends looked over and smiled, meeting my eyes. He then saw Devyn kiss me on the cheek, and I stared after him as Devyn left, shocked.
I looked back for the boy, and he was still there, glaring after Devyn. I laughed slightly. He was good looking. Brown shaggy hair and green eyes, with a muscular body and abs, I could tell cause he was wearing no shirt, classic Erebus move. I suddenly thought, Dont leave, talk to him. He's staring at you.
But, what about Devyn? I couldnt. I want to, but I cant. But, what if I leave and never see him again? You will, smart ass. Just get your sword, and go down stairs. I shook my head and went to my room, down the Hades Hall.
I grabbed my black, foot long sword. On the hilt was my name in red and then Επιθυμία θανάτου in cursive below it. (Means Wish of Death.)
The name was so Maggie it made me smile as I walked out of the hall, slipping the sword into my hip pouch. I met eyes with the Erebus guy, and he smiled, not at all bothered that I just came from Hades' Hall. Wow.
I walked down the stairs and ran to the blazing fire.
