Alexander's POV
So sweet innocent and...sexy...
The only thing I can think about right now is her. It's not like I don't think of her enough. She is always on my mind somehow. She is so... different.
Now I can't get her out of my head, Dammit!
I was so nervous about the meeting but she helped me calm down.
She came to me and rubbed my shoulders gently and I swear it was enough have my heart racing at an unbelievable rate.Her sweet words and soothing voice instantly calmed my nerves. She assured me that everything will be fine.
How can I deny her?
And it was. Everything went well about the meeting. We even got the deal. And it was all because of Sophie. People were really impressed, hell even I was impressed by Sophie's work. It was clear she really put effort into it as everything was so detailed and accurate.
I definitely made a right decision by hiring her. She is the only assistant who hasn't disappointed me yet in her work.
Mr. Brown was even impressed but not only by her work. That made me really furious. I didn't like the way he was looking at Sophie. It was obvious that his intentions were not good with her. Feeling protective about her, I shifted closer to her and placed my hand on the small of her back and I felt her shiver and what made me even more happy was that she actually came closer to me like she felt safe around me.
Just thinking of what disgusting thoughts he might have been having while asking Sophie for work makes me sick. I was trying so hard to control myself. The only thing that was keeping me from breaking his nose was Sophie, I didn't want to scare her.
That old hag! How dare he?!
Sophie was definitely not feeling comfortable around him but she didn't let it show. But what surprised me more was she refused his offer when he was agreeing to pay her such a huge amount. For a moment when he offered her the job, I was nervous that she might say yes but she again surprised me.
"No"
That was Sophie's clear answer to his shitty job offer.
I was shocked for a moment that she straight up rejected his offer before a knowing smug smirk came on my lips as I looked towards the old hag. It took every ounce of control in me to not laugh at his bewildered expression.
Hah! In your face!
I turned towards him and said,
"Well it was very nice meeting you. Not."
I added the last part under my breath but I guess Sophie heard because she smiled looking at me and it looked like she was trying to control her laughter.
After that I didn't I didn't waste any time in leaving that place. That man was really testing my patience.
I held her hand and dragged Sophie with me to my office and as soon as we were inside my office I burst out laughing remembering that bastard's face when he was rejected.
It felt so damn good
Even Sophie was laughing probably thinking about the same thing. It was a sight to see. Her head was thrown back and her hand was lightly clutching her stomach and the other hand was still holding mine. She was laughing showing her perfectly straight gleaming teeth. Her eyebrows were cutely scrunched. She looked so carefree.
After a while, when we stopped laughing I asked her the question that I was dying to know at the moment.
I asked her why she didn't accept his offer. She said she'd rather earn less money than becoming Satan's personal mistress. That made me chuckle.
"Besides I like it here. I don't want to leave. "
She added in a whisper while tucking a strand of hair behind her ears and looking down.
But I heard it. And It made me feel warm and all fuzzy inside.
Okay that sounds so unmanly.
But it made me happy and I smiled at her as she lifted her eyes and looked at me with that innocent look behind those thick lashes.
I was silently admiring her when suddenly my phone started to ring annoyingly loud.
There's always someone who has the worst timing.
That seemed bring me out of some trance as I blinked and reluctantly let go of her hand and answered my phone without looking at who was calling. I was seriously annoyed at the person.
"Hey handsome! I heard you got the deal baby!!"
That's the first thing I heard as soon as I answered. I instantly recognised Christian's voice who was trying to mimic a girl's voice. It was so high pitched that I had to pull my phone away from my ear for a moment.
Honestly he sounds like a dying Walrus.
I was so annoyed at him for calling at such a wrong time and trying to burst my ear drums with his horrible imitation of a girl. So I did the most sensible thing I could at the moment.
I hung up.
"I should probably go."
I was reluctant for a moment but nodded at the end. I didn't want her to leave.
What is wrong with me?
As soon as she was about to open the door I said.
"Thank you. Because of you we got the deal. "
She smiled looking at me when I added,
"Red suits you."
It's true. She looked like an sexy assistant in that red suit that fit her so perfectly. Her hair was down just the way I liked it.
She looked down shyly as her cheeks turned a light shade of pink. I loved it whenever she blushed. It was also the reason red suits her.
She mumbled a small 'thank you' and left my cabin quietly, still blushing. I smiled to myself.
She's too precious
I was working on computer when there was a notification on my facebook profile. I wasn't busy so I decided to see what it is.
It was a friend request from some girl named Cathy.
Nope. Never heard of her.
She also sent me some messages which I didn't bother reading. I didn't know her besides I don't like just accepting anyone's friend request.
I was just scrolling through my news feed when a thought came to me. I instantly typed 'Sophie Coleman' in the search bar.
It didn't take me long to find her account. I opened it started to scroll through her pictures. There weren't many pictures of her but one in particular caught my eyes. Only her face was visible and she was wearing some white clothing and it looked like the picture was taken in a garden or something. She wasn't wearing any makeup but she still looked flawless. Her eyes were main centre of attention in that pic. They looked so blue. There was depth in them. They looked beautiful. She looked beautiful.
I was contemplating whether I should send her a friend request or not. In the end I didn't.
I suddenly realised something. Why was I doing all this? Why do I always want to keep her close? Why do I don't like the thought of other men around her?
It's not like I like her.
I was so confused of what I was doing. It was like she was pulling me towards her.
Her voice. Her eyes. Her lips. Her laugh. Her smile. Her touch.
Her everything.
It attracts me towards her. But I know it was wrong. She is my assistant and it won't end good.
She has this hold on me. And I don't want her to control me. I don't want anyone to control me.
I'm so confused right now. This attraction towards her is messing with my head. I can't stop thinking about her.
Why the fuck am I so attracted to her?
I have to stop this. Maybe not seeing her I will forget about it. Yeah I should probably avoid her. Because I seriously have no idea what I'm feeling.
I sure as hell don't like her in that way. I can't. I have to avoid her.
I think I can resist this attraction...
