Yoona's POV
I seemed to have forgotten how much fun it was talking to Jin. He always manages to make me laugh at his antics. Both of us wanted to catch up on the five years that we had missed but for some reason every time I thought it would be a good time to ask him what happened back then, I would chicken out. I didn't want to bring it up. I wasn't ready, not yet.
I was afraid that he would confirm all the insecurities I had back then. It would also mean that I would have to accept the fact that even after all these years of convincing myself that I had moved on and he didn't affect me anymore -he still did.
I am sure I didn't like him anymore, but I was still looking for closure. No harm in that right?
We were informed that the cafe would be taking last orders as it was almost closing time. Both of us had a packed day tomorrow, so we decided to leave.
I was going to take a cab home but Jin refused to let me go back home alone. He insisted to drop me off.
"Looks like someone finally learned to be chivalrous!" I teased him.
"Just get in," he sighed, opening the door of the car. "Music?" He asked as he settled in the driver's seat.
"Aha!", I snapped my fingers. "It wasn't chivalry after all! It was all a grand plan to trap me inside a moving vehicle and make me listen to your songs! I knew it! Jinja and chivalry, never!" I scoffed. "Don't give me that exasperated look. I know you well," I smirked.
"As much as I think that you have been deprived of life-altering music, I would like you to discover your way through our music, on your own."
"Pfft. You'll obviously say that now that I figured your grand plan. And ever heard of modesty? Life-altering!"
"I was obviously kidding. That being said, if there's one thing I am most confident about, it's our music. There is at least one song of ours that you will like, I can promise you that." He said, beaming with pride.
Seeing his radiant smile, made me so happy. I am so glad he found his path and that it brought him so much joy.
"I am sure it'll be more than just one song," I replied sincerely.
