faced with darkness,
nonsensical stories
meet piles of unanswered questions
and trailing thoughts,
shallow breaths cloud my vision,
silence replaced with
radio static stuck looping in my ears,
coursing fear with brief confusion,
but the thought of you
pulls me away and to
shining paradise.
