i watch the planets
spin round and round
in an endless loop
like your record player
playing our song,
wearing vibrant stripes and swirls
like slick coats,
a somewhat solid hold i have
when the rest consists of
empty voids,
darkness and unknown,
and the faint glow of distant stars.
