Tomorrow is the start of the assessment and all the children at the age of five years old will gather there for a week to test their magic awakening. I am anxious knowing that up until now, I still can't feel the mana. Maybe because of the awakening but according to my modern reincarnation knowledge, awakening or not, as a reincarnator, feeling the mana is already a MUST. I mean, as a reicarnator, I knew that I should have a cheat-like ability like in the novel and anime but I am not. I guess not all reincarnator should have a cheat-like ability and an OP character *sigh*
My affinity is a water and I already knew it from the start, not only my affinity is the weakest element but I knew my mana capacity is also too weak to cast a magic just like in the otome game and I don't want that to happen.
As I am still in my deep thought, I lost my way. I can no longer see my brother as well as Jane, my maid. I don't know where I am currently at.
I started to panic but when I remember that I am already an adult in my past life, I calmed down. I look around and tried to remember the streets and establishments that we passed by until I heard someone shouting at the end of the narrow street.
As I went out of curiosity, I saw a group of men surrounding a small little thing who was trying to escape from their grasp. One of the bulky man, swing the paddle that used in a boat and hit the small little thing.

I paled when I saw the happening and it was too fast for me to take an action and even if I can stop it, I have no ability as I am only a five years old kid.
I ran toward the pixie.
I don't know what's happening on me but when I saw the pixie crying for help and was hit by the paddle, my heart hurts like it was piercing by some thorn... and when I saw her, I panic.

We went back home, and mother asked for a magical doctor to heal the pixie but when the doctor saw the pixie, he shook his head and told us that there is no longer way to revive the pixie unless she will go back to their kingdom within a day but because of the long distance even if we used the teleportation, we can't still save the pixie.
I cried hard when I heard that sad news.
I don't know why I felt this way.
What's wrong with me? Why I felt familiar yet unfamiliar towards this pixie? Why I felt an affinity to her? What's happening to me?
My mother, Chris niisama, Kyle and even my always busy father tried to comfort me but with no avail. They left me alone with the pixie.
I fell unconscious from crying but what I didn't noticed is that when my tears fell to the pixie, the dim light of the pixie that shows their vitality, started to glow again. The pixie who was supposed to be on her deaths door, started to stir and her butterfly like eyelashes started to move a little. But alas, all this is not discovered by me as I started to drift in my dreams.
When I woke up, it's already the next day. I saw the pixie with a stabilize breathing and her glow is not as dim as yesterday but it is full of vitality. I smiled and before I started to rejoice, Kyle pulled me away and started to tell me that I should prepare for my awakening... and I forgot about the pixie as I was distracted of my nervousness on my own awakening.
Awakening starts when a child was bath with light dust from the grinded golden fruit of the Ygdrassil Tree. Then a child will test his (her) affinity using magic ball and it will show his (her) element affinity, and magic liquid inside the magic ball from the juice of the golden fruit of Ygdrassil Tree will fill up the magic ball according to the mana capacity of a child.
When we came to the Magic Council Temple where the awakening will be held, I saw a bunches of little squirts. The others are wearing their aristocrat dress, the others looks like a beggar, the others are excited, there are who was crying, and some are just quiet like they don't exist. Father told me that some of them can become a scholar (If they can't pay the tuition fee when they started learning magic) if they can reach 50% mana capacity or got a very rare attribute (as there is very low percent to have a rare attribute to have a less than 50% mana capacity).
I saw the arrogant Henry among the crowd as well as the gentleman prince who was surrounded by little girls.

When the elders of magic council arrived, the noisy area suddenly fell quiet that even the blow of the air can be heard.
They separate into two areas the awakening of a child by gender before they can enter the hall where the assessment for affinity will be held.
As I entered the place where the awakening held, I was amaze by the gigantic place that elegancy and wealth can be smell. The place is made of pure gold, from its ceiling until the floor. There are also different gems and diamonds as design can be seen. When all the pisquick girls gather in the middle, The ceiling opened and a bunch of golden dust with different colors of petals and magical bubbles fell.
I felt hot when those things fell on me. My blood felt like it was boiling and my body muscle started cramping for a seconds. My whole body started to glow just like the other girls. There are some who started to cry and others who fainted due to the ache we felt.
I bit my lower lip as hard as I can and started to taste the metallic taste of blood, I clenched my fist as the nails started to pierce my palm but I can't fell all of this because my brain started to buzz until I also fainted.
Half an hour later, when we started to regain consciousness, I noticed that not only me but everyone was soaked with black sweat and reek with stinky smell. The elders escorted us to a big bathroom to take a bath. Its water came from the extracted juice of a dead branch of Ygdrassil Tree. The fragrance of this liquid ease the pain we felt and magically remove the sticky dark sweat we got before while the water maintained its clear and clean water.
After that, they lead us to the main hall where we will test our affinity and meet the other male kids.
They'll call our name one by one to test our attribute. There is ten magic ball that will test our affinity on stage, and when I saw that someone already started their assessment, I got nervous again.
When the crown prince and henry's name was called, almost all the girls started to squeal. Shouting their love to the two young boys.
Argh, girls.
When I saw the affinity of Henry, I was shocked. It was a rare attribute of lightning. Yes, his capacity is only 45% (Too rare for someone who has rare attribute) but it was still a very destructive elemental power. Wow.
And when I saw Price William's result, my eyes almost fall. Yup, I knew he was a genius but I never thought his a trimental mage of fire, earth, and dark attribute with 95% mana capacity. Wow, he's too OP for a love target huh. Heroine is fortunate if she choose him. Not only he is a crown prince, the next king but also a very powerful mage in the future.

I started to feel the hot temperature of the magic ball and saw the small part of liquid inside started to boil. The magic ball glow blue indicating my water affinity and the liquid inside started to rise very slowly like a turtle until it stop in 15%.
Everyone was stunned about my result just like me. My face was as pale as white and my whole body started to cold. I was stunned as a stone and still looking at my result.
I don't know how I am back on my seat and why Henry was beside me started to cheer me up with his pleasing and soothing voice.
And I broke down and started to cry.
He hugs me and comforts me.
When I calmed down, I noticed the contempt and scorn look from everyone especially the girls then I broke away from Henry's arms... and then I saw him. His look with obvious disgust, hate, disdain and envy against me.
The crown prince, his highness Prince William despises me.

Because of my poor result?
