your eyes met mine,
dark swirls
twisting with every thought behind them,
a black hole
pulling me in,
pulling me close
to collapsed chaos
in which i can't escape.

"everything'll be alright,"
your eyes assured.

i've never wanted to be with you more,
to become your other half,
together, a celestial work of art
because for a moment,

i believed you.
