Part 1

Requested by the lovely TheSceneBeane.

I used some original lines and scenes from the movie.

"Ascar(Hurry)!" Arwen shouted riding closer to the gates as the guards opened them for her. Lillie rushed out of her room to Arwen and when she reached the gates she noticed Arwen was carrying what appeared to be a child.

"Sana ho a'fallaner(Take him to the healer)!" Arwen said giving the "child" to one of the guards.

"Seler'amin(my sister)!" Lillie exclaimed and ran to Arwen. She looked so exhausted and had a cut on her cheek.

"Mani marte? Ya naa tanya(What happened? Who is that)? She asked concerned. "No time to explain to you now sister we need to go to Frodo..." Arwen said pulling her behind her as they headed for Frodo's room. Lillie soon found out that the child was really a hobbit from the Shire.

That night after Aragorn arrived with three more hobbits and Frodo was out of danger Arwen explained everything to her. A strange feeling kept her from sleeping as if she new that with the light of the new dawn her life would never be the same... She spent all night on her balcony sleepless waiting for the upcoming council.

When the sun finally rose in the sky she decided to go inside her room and get ready. She sat in front of the vanity that decorated her room and looked at herself in the mirror. Her long brown hair was still put in yesterday's braided half up do but messier and her her green eyes had traces of redness around their irises. Evidence of no sleep... Her human side made her vulnerable to small things such as tiredness. She noticed the black circles that were formed under her eyes as she unbraided and brushed her beautiful hair and remembered her mother. She never had dark circles under her eyes or messy hair, in fact she always looked flawless almost as if she was a beautiful dream. Her elven nature granted Lillie the choice between a mortal life and immortality just as long as she truly believed in her choice. Her father was a human bowman from next town that fell in love with her mother when she saved him from drowning. One day he was fishing a little bit further from Rivendell and fell into the water when one of the elven maids saved him. Their love was forbidden but in the end it overcame every obstacle and their souls are now united forever in the Undying lands. Not long after she lost them, Lord Elrond welcomed her in his family and since then Arwen and her are like sisters.

She let out a sigh setting the brush on the vanity. After she washed her face, took her morning bath and braided her hair again she headed for the door ready for the new day but before she reached it the door opened reveling Arwen.

"The council has started hurry!"

The girls ran to the council and found a hiding spot behind one of those heavy curtains so they could hear what would be said at the council. As the girls tried to listen closely Lillie caught a glimpse of something orange moving behind the other curtains across from them. She nudged Arwen with her elbow and showed her. The two ginger-haired hobbits Merry and Pippin where trying to eavesdrop as well.

"Hey! Pssst!" She whisper-shouted at them and their heads popped out of the curtains.

"Good day ladies..." Pippin said as they both waved at the girls making them giggle.

"What are you doing here?" Lillie asked smiling.

"We're eavesdropping. What are you doing here?" Merry answered gingerly.

"We're eavesdropping too..." She quietly giggled but quickly hid behind the curtains when one of the guards passed the hall. After a minute Lillie peecked to see if the guard left and focused on the council again.

"Bring forth the ring." Lord Elrond spoke. Frodo did as he was told and sat back on his seat.

"So it is true..." One of the humans spoke standing up. Lillie studied him as he continued talking about a dream he and his brother had. His hair was the color of the sand and his eyes were blue. He was quite tall and build and there was something about him that made him look dangerous.

He slowly and steadily approached the ring just like a predator. Before he touched it lord Elrond shouted his name.

"Boromir!"

Right then Gandalf, Lillie's favourite wizard, begun chanting in black speech.

Suddenly the earth started shaking under their feet and the sky darkened. Both Lillie and Arwen (like the other elves) felt dizzy and fell weak on their knees holding onto each other for support. It all ended just as suddenly as it started when Gandalf's chanting came to a stop. As they regained their strength again they noticed that everyone had withdrew back to their seats. Boromir was quick to speak again though...

"Why not use the ring? Give Gondor the weapon of the enemy, let us use it against him!"

"You cannot wield it. Non of us can... The ring answers to Sauron alone. It has no other master." She heard Aragorn say.

"And what would a ranger know of this matter?" Boromir mocked him. Right then one of the elves stood up and bravely defended his friend Aragorn. Lillie's eyes were locked on him...

He had long blonde hair, blue eyes and pale skin. He looked build and strong as he stood up straight and proud. Confidence beamed from his face as he spoke. Oh valor he was beautiful.... For a moment Lillie lost all contact with the world around her. Her heartbeat sped up as he spoke and moved with so much grace.

"Ahem..." Gandalf cleared his throat trying to end the argument between the two men and drew her back to reality.

"Aragorn is right... you cannot wield it..." Gandalf agreed.

"You have only one choice. The ring must be destroyed." Elrond said.

"Then what are we waiting for?" The red haired dwarf stood up and attempted to destroy the one ring with his axe. The ring's power broke the axe and the dwarf fell back on the ground. What seemed strange to Lillie was how uncomfortable Frodo looked. Lord Elrond spoke again.

"The ring cannot be destroyed by any craft that we here possess, Gimly son of Gloin, the ring was made in the fires of mount Doom, only there it can be unmade. It must be taken deep into Mordor and cast back into the fiery chasm from whence it came. One of you must do this..." Lord Elrond's words shook the council and soon the place was filled with shouting and argument when a brave hobbit stood up and offered to carry the weight of the one ring into mount Doom. Lillie and Arwen looked at each other shocked.

"I will take the ring to Mordor..." For a moment silence fell before Frodo spoke again. "I do not know the way though..."

Gandalf was the first to offer his services, soon Aragorn, Legolas, Gimly and Boromir followed and vowed to protect the small ring bearer. Suddenly Sam the forth hobbit came out of his hiding spot and demanded to be by his friend's side. Merry and Pippin came out from behind the curtains and they too joined their friends. Of course Elrond knew that it was impossible to keep those friends apart and gladly accepted their requests.

"Then you nine shall be the fellowship of the ring." He said as if he was blessing them.

In a moment of irrationality Lillie revealed herself too and spoke amongst a council full of men.

"Wait! I wish to be a part of the fellowship too..." She spoke up and turned to Frodo. "Frodo, you have my bow and my sword." She said bowing her head slightly.

As the whispers started Lillie felt the blood rush to her cheeks but kept her posture straight. For the first time in her entire life she was brave enough to come out of her shell. Then the man from Gondor, Boromir, stood up and spoke again...

"A woman? What can a woman offer to this quest?"

That moment Lillie knew that she wouldn't get along with that man.

"I agree with the human. This creature is only going to be a burden for us." Said the blonde elf that stole her breath away earlier. Her heart sank like a ship but she still kept her posture straight and glared at him. Lord Elrond defended Lillie. Over the years he had grown to love her as if she was his own child.

"My dear friend Legolas, I suggest that you watch your tongue when it comes to talking about a lady." He said with his usual calm tone.

"Lord Elrond with all due respect, you know I'm right... The.... girl is only going to slow us down. She obviously has no experience and this quest requires a lot of it..." He turned to Lillie and looked at her almost with disgust. "I bet you oh pampered one have never been away from Rivendell." Lillie felt nauseous by his words. What was wrong with him? He didn't even know her to be so negative about her....

"Legolas faarae(enough)!" Elrond said a bit louder than his usual tone and turned to Lillie.

"My lady, although I admire your courage I'd advise you otherwise. He went closer to her and spoke like a truly worried father. "This is a very dangerous quest my child and I cannot afford to lose you or any other of my children." She looked at Arwen who smiled encouragingly at her and regained her bravery.

"Lord Elrond I only ask for your trust. It is of great importance to me to join this quest. Please give me the chance to prove my worth." She had to prove that she was more than she seemed to be.

"Lillie, I agree with Lord Elrond. You are far too young to face the dangers and the cruelty of the world outside of Rivendell's borders. You are like a sister to me and I do not wish to see you harmed." Aragorn tried to convince her to stay in Rivendell's safety. Indeed he loved her like a sister and cared for her safety.

"Aragorn my brother, you yourself taught me the way of the sword. Now it is time to put my skills to the test. Let me show you and everyone else that I can do this." Both Aragorn and Elrond backed to their seats.

Elrond closed his eyes and let out a sigh of defeat. "So be it.... Lillie Evergreen you are now a part of the fellowship of the ring..." Lillie cheered and jumped on Elrond and gave him a suffocating hug repeatedly thanking him. Soon the company congratulated her and cheered with her. Or at least most of them...

Legolas stayed silent but his anger was evident. She pushed away this silly disappointment she felt when he turned his back to her as Gimly approached her.

"You have guts, I give you that lass. Welcome to the company." He said patting her on her arm and laughing with that funny laughter of his.

That night she decided she needed a good night's sleep for the upcoming adventure and the next day the fellowship set off for Mordor...
