To think I was the one who broke him. The one who helped him see he was better than how he was treated. To show him that not everyone he loves will leave suddenly. And that not everyone he loves will hurt him.
The man who stood before me, holding me in his arms, was hurt. Hurt in so many ways I couldn't even imagine. He was abused by someone who he thought loved him. He lost the one person he loved most. And to top it all off, he was put into the stressful role as alpha because his father was alpha.
For someone like me, who was just a single person. Just someone who was quiet and more to myself. For me to help him in so many ways, made me happy.
"What are you thinking?" He whispered, pressing his forehead into mine and closing his eyes, like he was trying to get to my thoughts. I closed my eyes and smiled. "Oh, nothing." I whispered back, snaking my hands from on his shoulders and his face. "Just thinking of you." I said and rubbed my thumbs against his cheek. "Oh, I'm nothing?" He joked with a chuckle.
I opened my eyes, pulling away, and lightly slapped his chest. "You're never nothing. Especially to me." I told him and gave him a kiss. "I hope, Mel. I hope."
