Rosie's POV
Ifelt something cold. I shot up from my bed and saw Archie.
He had a smug look on his face and he was holding an empty bucket.
"Did you just spill water on me in my sleep!?" I yelled while wiping my face with my sleeve.
"Girl you know I did." He smiled.
"Why did you do that!?" I yelled.
"Because we have to get ready for the dance!" He grinned.
I noticed he was still in his normal clothes but his hair was damp. Guess he took a shower
"Why didn't you just get ready at your house?" I ask.
"Because I came over last night for a sleepover but by the time I got here you were asleep." He fake pouted.
I rolled my eyes and got off my bed.
"Oh by the way a woman came over, she kinda looked like an older version of you." He pointed at me.
"That was probably my mom." I mumbled. "What did she want?"
"She dropped that off." He pinged to the bed.
There was a box on the corner of my bed.
"That's weird. She never brings anything. Besides men." I rolled my eyes.
"Well open it." Archie urged on.
I sighed and opened up the bright pink box.
There was a dress inside. Along with a mask, necklace, gloves, a ring and shoes.
"This perfect now you have an outfit for the dance!" Archie smiled.
"OK then."
"Here I got you this." He handed me a small box of black hair dye.
"What's this for?"
"You are the only person at school with a blue streak in their hair. Use the hair dye to cover it up."
He didn't give me time to respond and pushed me into the bathroom along with a towel and the hair dye.
Guess I'm taking a shower.
I stripped down from my soaking wet pajamas and turned on the shower.
After about ten minutes I stepped into the steamy bathroom and wrapped the town around my waist.
I looked in the mirror and my blue streak had completely vanished.
Archie you owe me big time.
Once I got back to my room Archie was going a smaller box.
"Archie what is that?" I asked suspiciously.
"Waxing strips." He answered.
I gave him a confused look.
"Waxing strips? Why would you need--" realization hit me as my eyes widened. "No! No no no no no! I already shaved my legs!"
"Too bad. You are using these waxing strips."
"But they hurt!" I whined like a toddler.
"Deal with it." He shoved the box to my chest before leaving the room.
I closed the door and groaned as I began waxing my legs. It hurt. A lot.
After that was done I threw the waxing strips away.
I took out the dress my mother left me from the box and slipped it on.
It was a black strapless dress with a red bottom. The red bottom was covered in black lace but you could clearly see the red. The top was completely black with the zipper in front.
The top of the dress hugged my waist but the bottom of it flowed freely against my legs. I decided to put shorts underneath just in case.
I heard a knock at my door.
"Come in." I called the person.
Archie opened the door and smiled when he saw me.
"I feel like a proud dad." He placed a hand on his chest and smiled.
"Shut up." I laughed at him.
"What else is in that box?" He asked.
"Just accessories and shoes." I answered.
"Well put them on girl. I'm going to finish getting ready." He closed the door behind him as he left my room.
I first slid on the gloves.
They were black and red and didn't cover my fingers. It had black laces and it reached just below my elbow.
Then I grabbed the necklace and clipped it around my neck.
It was black with red jewels dangling from it. It was a large necklace but it was very light. It also had two light red moons on it.
The then slid the ring on my right hand on my ring finger.
It had a large black rim with a big red jewel in the center.
I didn't bother to put on the heels. I'll just put them on before we leave.
The bottoms of the shoes were black and the rest was red. On the red there were small curvy black line designs on it.
The last item in the box was the mask. I held it in my hands.
It was pitch black with thin curvy red lines on it. There was a blood red rose on the corner of it with small black and red feathers attached to it.
I left the mask next to my shoes. I'll just put those on at the last minute.
I went to my bathroom and blow dryer my hair. After it was dried I curled it.
There finally done. There no need for makeup right.
I was about to walk out my room when Archie stopped me.
He was wearing a white dress shirt with black pants and black shoes and a black bow tie. He didn't loom any were near ready though.
"Where do you think you're going?" He asked.
"Downstairs." I said in a Duh tone.
"Nope your not ready." He pulled out a small makeup bag. "I'm doing your make up."
He didn't give me a chance to respond. He sat me down on the bed and began doing my make up.
After a very long time he finally finished.
"Ok." He grinned widely. "All done."
"How do you know how to do makeup?" I ask.
"I have a twin sister who always cakes her face in makeup. You pick up a few things."
I stood up from my spot on the bed and looked in the mirror.
I barely recognized myself.
My eyes had glitter red-winged eyeliner with a little bit of black eyeliner. I had black eyeshadow and it faded to red at the top.
My eyebrows were done in black with the tiniest bit of red.
The edged of my lips were black and faded to red in the center.
Damn Archie does good work.
I strapped on the high heels and attempted to walk around my room.
I haven't worn heels in years. It's good to get some practice.
After I gained my balance I grabbed the mask and headed downstairs.
Archie and David were sitting on the couch in full costume.
Archie had a white dress shirt with a black vest, pants, shoes, white gloves, a black cape with designs on the inside, and a white half face mask.
David had a black and white suit and a gray Batman mask.
"Really David? Batman?" I questioned.
His head snapped in my direction. He stared at me for a second.
"No." He said suddenly.
"What?" I asked confused.
"You are not going dress like that." He pointed art dress.
"Relax David. You know if someone touches me I'll give hem a beating." I smirked.
"I still don't approve of you going like that."
"How about I buy a chocolate bar on the way back?" I tried to compromise.
"Of my choice." His face lit up.
I rolled my eyes. "Sure."
"I'll meet you guys in the car." He smiled and left the house.
Archie stood up from his place on the couch.
"Ready to sneak in.?" He held out his pinky.
"Ready." I linked my pinky with his before leaving the house.
