A person once asked me—
"What have you done?"
The inquiry stunned me.
So, I pondered.
I've dug up the truth
That's what I've done
I traced the roots.
I know the power.
I know the beauty of our Africanity.
I know where the hate stems from.
But really...what have I done?
Surely, I cannot be content.
How can a scholar learn
And not know her power?
How can she know so much,
Yet contribute so little?
