Henry's POV
"Is Ella coming", Jake asked as we trotted down to the dugout
"Yeah, why wouldn't she", I asked
"Bro, do you know what her and Gabe did", he asked
"Um, what did they do", I said playing along
"I hate to tell you this, but they smashed"
"Oh, yeah. They didn't smash. Only one of them wanted to, if you catch me drift", I said not wanting to say it
"You sure"
"Gabe, over me. Come on dude, actually think", I said trying to make them laugh and succeeding
"You guys gotta support her", Keaton said dropping in
"So no talking about it or giving her weird looks. Asking her if she's ok", I said
They all nodded
"Good cause here they come", Keaton smiled looking at Danielle
Yeah, apparently they're a thing
"Hey girl", Keaton said trying to be smooth and failing
"You're lucky you're cute", Danielle said pecking his lips
"How was the rest of the day", I asked Ella as she came over by me
"Okay, Danielle yelled at Gabe for dropping a pencil by her. It was pretty funny", she laughed for the first time in awhile.
"Good job", I said towards Danielle
"Well thank you", she bowed
"Okay time to play", Jake said peeking his head down in the dugout
We played the game and won, obviously.
"You wanna hit a couple balls", Keaton asked Danielle after the field cleared out
"Can't", she said pointing to the sleeping Ella leaning on her shoulder so peacefully
"I'll get her home. Help me get her to the car", I said to Keaton
He nodded and I picked her up bridal style off of Danielle and carried her to the car.
"Thanks", I whispered to Keaton as he put my bag in the back
"Anytime", he said as he wrapped a hand around Danielle's waist
I drove us back to the house and I just left my bag in the car. I laid her in her spot in the my bed and I went to go shower. When I got out, she was still fast asleep. As I laid down, I kissed her forehead and let sleep over come me.
