he leans closer to the doorway, tries eavesdropping on the conversation between the doctor and everett's mother, but only catches snippets.
"... high blood pressure... almost experienced... cardiovascular collapse... lucky... be alive..."
his heart wrenches in his chest. all he wants to do is see everett, to know that he's okay.
but everett isn't okay— there's no point in hiding that, and if aidan could take away his pain, take away his suffering, he would do it in a heartbeat.
