Chapter 1
The light was brighter than I expected it to be. I looked up to see an angel gazing down at me with a confused expression. Was there something wrong with me? He had beautiful bronze curls and a flawless complexion. His eyes were dark black, yet somehow love was present, although I had suspicions to whether that love was aimed at me.
“There are two.” Music filled my ears when he spoke. He sounded shocked which explained his facial expression. Looking left, I saw a baby who couldn’t have been much bigger than me.
“Renesmee,” a broken voice rasped behind me. Could that be my new name? But no. The man picked up the baby beside me and gave her to the person whose face I could not see. “So beautiful.” She whispered before her agonizing scream ripped through the air.
“Jacob!” the man said, while thrusting us towards another man. This one was just as beautiful as the last, only in an entirely different way. He has russet skin, black cropped hair and warm brown eyes, only they hardened at the sight of the man who was holding me and the other baby.
“Get them away from me!” The one called Jacob growled. “They’re your children, Edward!”
With a shock, I realised the man holding me, must be my father, and the other baby, my sister. However, I didn’t have long to ponder this, as soon, a new angel entered the room, this one female. She had long blond hair cascading down her back, death white skin and pitch black eyes.
“I’ll take them Edward. I'm in control now.” She took both me and my sister from my father and bought us downstairs, her skin was like granite and ice cold. She sat us down and began mumbling meaningless nonsense to us.
Until, from upstairs we could hear what could only be described as a changing heart.
