I promised Lucy that I would take her to the bike track today and I intend to keep my promise to her.

She walks into the kitchen and see's me place some waffles on a plate for Callum and I. "Did you make enough for me?"

"Yeah, its in the pan now." I put ice cream and chocolate sauce on it. I slide the plate across to Callum who's sitting on the stool across from me. "I hope you like it."

A smile spreads across his face. "I'll enjoy anything you make, Cassie. When you took cooking class in high school I thought you were going to poison me with whatever you cooked."

"Shut up, Callum." I throw a paper towel at him. "My cooking wasn't bad." I pull out Lucy's waffles and place it on the table for her. "Can you do the rest?" I ask her.

"Yes, I can." She finishes off the waffles with ice cream and chocolate sauce. "You can sit next to Callum. I'll stand."

I move to the other side of the bench and sit next to Callum.

He uses the fork and pulls apart the waffle with it. He puts a big portion into his mouth.

"What time are we leaving for the bike track?"

"After breakfast. We're going to ride the bikes down to the track."

A smile spreads across her face. "I'm going to beat you to the track, Cassie. You'll be eating my dust."

I shake my head. "That's not going to happen, Lu. You're the one that will be eating mine." I put some waffle into my mouth and watch as my sister hurries to eat hers.

Looks like she's keen to get to the track. I have a lot to teach her on the track this morning.

Grandpa walks into the kitchen and he looks at Callum. "Can you help me on the farm until you go to the track to pick, Cassie up for lunch?"

"Okay," Callum looks at Grandpa and asks. "How did you find out about lunch?"

He laughs slightly. "The walls in this house are thin and I can hear everything you kids say. My hearing hasn't completely disappeared." Grandpa looks at the food on the table. "Do you have any left over food for your Grandmother and I?"

I finish eating my breakfast. "Yes, I do. Give me a moment and I'll get it for you." I take my plate to sink and wash it.

Grandma walks into the kitchen and she looks at us. "You kids beat us out of bed this morning? I'm not used to having guests up before us."

I hug her. "That's because we have a busy day ahead us." I kiss her cheek. "I'm making waffles for breakfast."

"I should visit you at home more often to get treats like this." She walks over to the kitchen table and sits next to Grandpa.

Grandpa holds his hand out to her and she takes it. He moves slightly forward and kisses Grandma on the lips.

"Aw, that's so sweet." Lucy says. "I hope when I'm you're age I'll have something like you, two."

I agree.

Callum pushes his seat back and stands up. He walks over to the kitchen sink and washes the dishes.

After breakfast Lucy and I head to our seperate bedrooms to get changed, brush our hair and teeth.

Lucy is standing at my door once I'm done. "Are you ready to go, sis?"

"Yes, I am." I walk out of my room and head to the stairs. "Race you to the bikes?"

Lucy and I start running down the stairs.

Grandma looks up from the lounge as she hears us running down the stairs. "Have fun girls."

"Bye," Lucy and I say, as we run out the door.

At the garage I grab my keys and put it inside my light blue dirt bike. I put my helmet on and start it.

Lucy looks at the hook. "Where's my keys?"

I yell over my engine. "I don't know, but I'll meet you at the track." I drive away leaving my sister at the garage. I make it half way across the field when I see my sister coming across. I increase my speed and then I reach the dirt track that takes me to the bike track.

A few cars are driving down the track and I recognise one of the cars as Clark's. He slows down close to me and says. "Where are you going?"

I look at him. "Bike track. Do you want to come with us? I can show you how great I'm on that track too?"

He shakes his head. "I've seen your raves on the TV, you know what you're doing."

That I do.

I turn around and see my sister gaining on me.

Damn you, Clark distracting me.

I drive away from him and continue down the track until I see bike track on front of me. I stop my bike and climb off it.

Walking over to the track I look at every inch of it. Remembering the areas where the bumps are and how to avoid them without coming off my bike.

Lucy walks over to me. "Why do you look at the ground before the races, Cassie?"

Looking at her I say. "I need to remember every inch of the ground, so I know how to avoid falling off my bike and hurting myself or other riders."

"I don't see any riders come down here to check out he tracks before a race. Isn't it cheating if you do this?"

"No, besides everyone knows I do this all the time and I've never been told that I couldn't check out the grounds before the race." I point out different things for my sister to keep an eye out for when she's on the tracks.

She's going to take my spot as soon as I'm ready to hand the reigns over to her, but I don't see that time coming any time soon.

Lucy and I walk back to our bikes and we ride them to the top of the hill where the race begins.

A walk steps out of a truck and walks over to us. I see that it's Clark and he has a smile on his face. "I changed my mind about seeing you race against your sister. I think this race is going to be interesting. Do you need someone to wave you off?"

"Yes, please."

He pulls his red baseball cap off his head and says. "Ready, Set," he throws his hat on the air and yells. "Go,"

I hit the accelerator on my bike and I take off around the track. I see the small bumps ahead of me and I take my time going over them, before increasing my speed for the rest of the race. I get to a jump and lean into the handles before turning the front the wheel at an angle and landing on the ground. Dirt begins to fly in front of my helmet making it harder for me to see.

Turning my bike to the side I see dirt spray everywhere as Lucy makes her jump.

I hit the finish line before her and she climbs off her bike. "You'll have to teach me some of the things you do."

"Okay, Lucy. I want you to go back to the starting line and practise on your take off. You're a bit slow with that. I want you to get comfortable with taking off before I teach you more things."

"Yes, Cassie."

A smile spreads across my face as my sister puts on a professional face.

I'm glad she's ready to listen to me.

She rides her bike to the starting line. She revs her bike a couple of times. "Ready, Set, Go!"

She takes off at a better speed and she rides until she's upon the first jump. She holds onto the handles as she jumps. She lands nicely on the other side. She pulls to the side of the track and looks at me. "How was that, Cassie?"

"Better," looking behind me I see Grandpa's truck approaching the track.

Lucy looks at the truck. "Do you have to go now?"

"Yes, I spent the morning with you. Now, I have to spend the afternoon with Callum. You knew he wanted to have lunch with me and that we were going to go bushwalking."

She sighs. "Fine, but when you come back from filming The Bachelor, I want you to teach me."

I move over to my sister. "I have to help coach recruit when I'm out of the house again. You should come with me and I'll help you out as we move to different locations."

"Are you serious?"

"Yes, but after a couple weeks you're going to go back home and wait for my call about you being on the team."

"Okay," she looks at Callum as he pulls the car in front of the track.

Callum steps out of the car and walks over to me. "Are you ready to go on our date."

"It's not a date, Callum. It's too best friends having lunch together."

Callum ignores me and lifts me up. "It's whatever I call it, Cassie." He carries me to the car and places me in the car. He looks over at Clark who's sitting in his car. "Can you take Cassie's bike back to the house, please?"

"Sure," Clark steps out his car and walks over to my bike. He moves it over to his and puts it in the back. "Do you need a lift back to the house?"

"Yes, please. I really don't feel like riding back to the farm on my own." She helps Clark put her bike into the back with mine.

Callum climbs into the car and he looks at me. "Your Grandpa told me about a place he used to take your Grandmother and suggested that I take you there. So, that's where I'm taking you."

A smile spreads across my face. "I know that place well. It's got a waterfall close by and when you take a picture it looks like it's been photoshopped in."

Callum starts the car and he pulls the car onto the dirt track, taking us away from the farm.
