KATHERINE WINCHESTER KNEW THE FAMILY BUSINESS. IT was basically a given that once she was 4 years old she knew how to handle most of the weapons, and by the time she was ten, Kat could handle all her father's guns, and she could outshoot both of her older brothers - Sam and Dean.
THERE WERE OBVIOUSLY SOME CONCERNS WITH THEIR FAMILY BUSINESS. It wasn't like any other business, like running a grocery store or other businesses. It was violent, deadly, and could get anyone killed at any time. The glory of hunting and killing demons and werewolves could only take you so far or across the country every other week.
AT A MERE SEVENTEEN, SHE HAD TRAVELLED TO MORE STATES THAN anyone she knew, besides her older brothers of course. It was the family business of course, but they seemed to be missing two important people. Mary Winchester and John Winchester were both MIA. While one was six feet under, the other was completely off the grid, and no matter how are they tried, the three siblings couldn't track down their missing family member.
ALONG WITH THEIR OTHER PRESSING ISSUE, THE YELLOW-EYED DEMON hunt that obsessed both Sam and Dean, it led the Winchester siblings to Hawkins, Indiana. At first, it seemed like a regular town that Katherine was going to have to endure for a few weeks before they went onto the next town. But, there was nothing ordinary about this town at all.
AFTER A KID WHO GOES MISSING MAGICALLY RETURNS, KATHERINE BEFRIENDS A FEW of her fellow high schoolers, one being the friend of the missing kid, this sends the Winchester family into the deep dive of Hawkins, along with running into the town's new bad boy with a horrible attitude.
