Currently Chance and I are talking to my parents. We finish quickly and head over to the bar
Chance: what do you want
Tessa: oh I'm only 20 I don't drink
Chance: haha very funny you're going to need it. [Speaking to bartender] two of the usuals please
He hands me the drink and I take a sip and make a sour face. He makes a chuckle and says it'll get better. I set the drink down and drag Chance's arm to his parents when I hear a perky voice call Chance
Alex: hi baby
Chance:oh uh hey [forgetting her name]
Alex: Alex. The other night..
Chance: oh um right
I start laughing on the inside because Chance is forgetting who she is.
Alex: Oh and look who it is...
Who does she think she is
Tessa: hi remember me? The fiance? And may I ask, why are you at our engagement party
Alex: engaged? Chance said he was single the other night
Tessa: well not anymore
I drag him out of that conversation and stop and say
"If we're going to act in love there will be no more girls on the side" I say with a stern face
He gives me a quick nod and we head over to his parents.
Jackie: hey guys! How's it going
Tessa: its going great! You've raised a great son
Chance: I'm so excited that you've introduced me to Tessa. Its like love at first sight
Jackie: aww you guys are cute.
Thad: Chance, may I speak to you for a minute
CHANCE POV
My dad pulls me to the side for a minute and tells me that secret spies from the Pauls and Costellers are here. The reason why Tessa and I actually are actually getting married is because the Brooks weren't strong enough to protect Tessa. So if we joined forces we can protect her. The Costellers and Pauls plan is to kidnap her and I must protect her. I quickly go back to my mom and see that Tessa isn't there.
Jackie: hey Chance
Chance: mom where is Tessa?
Jackie: oh she went to the restroom
I get a look of panic and run off to the restrooms. I slip myself inside the ladies restroom and say "Tessa?" no reply. Damn it where is she. I exit out and get a disgusted look from a woman. I scatter around the building looking for Tessa and no hope. I go to the bar and find a drunken Tessa sitting with a drink.
Chance: Tessa come on
Tessa: [slurring] hey hands off misterrr
Chance: Tessa you're drunk. And we need to get out of here quickly
Tessa: whyyyyy?
I was about to answer when I saw out of the corner of my eye, a blonde girl. I immediately recognised her. She was Loren Wolfgangel the one and only minion for Erika Costell. I pick up Tessa and she starts to squeal so I quickly kiss her to shut her up. I see a janitors closet and quickly head over there. We went inside and I put Tessa down who had a look of disappointment
Tessa: hey! Why'd you put me down? I was feeling horny.
I laugh slightly in my head and tell her to be quiet. I hear footsteps approach and I quickly place my hand on Tessa's cheek and kiss her. It keeps going until we hear the door open. Tessa is about to break away but I keep going until a throat clears up
Loren: look who it is.. The happy engaged couple
Tessa: "who are you?" Tessa asks with a slight look of jealousy.
Loren: Tessa Brooks I presume
Tessa: correct
Chance: do you need anything? We were kind of doing something
Loren: yes as you know my boss owns a famous talk show. We would like for you guys to come on it and express your love and tell the world about your engagement.
Chance: lovely. Text my assistant the details
Each mafia has a cover up. The Pauls do YouTube. Costellers do talk shows. I do a small business and Tessa does fashion. Loren closes the door and when I make sure she's out of earshot I say, "Tessa are you okay?"
She strokes my cheek and gently nods and falls asleep on my shoulder. I say goodbye to everyone and drive home. We arrive and I put her in our bed and take off her dress and slip on a pair of joggers and a t-shirt on her. She had makeup on so I found her remover wipes and wiped everything off. I myself got ready for bed and layed next to her. Sleep took over me quickly as I played with Tessa's hair.
