warning: unrealistic family situations?? Idk
but I guess it isn't unrealistic for this ideal case only
but that'll only make sense if u give a detailed and specific explanation of the story lol

"Park Jimin, was it?"

Jimin looks at Yoongi's brother, nodding. Nervousness suddenly overtakes him when the brother enters the room, closing the door. He's a little intimidated. "You should sit down, I'm just here to talk to you."

Almost stumbling, Jimin sits down on the edge of the bed, Yoongi's brother sitting on the desk chair, leaning his head down on the backrest. "I'm Min Seungki. You can call me hyung like Yoongi does."

Jimin nods again, still nervous. "Okay, Seungki hyung. Nice to meet you."

The other smiles, nodding in response, and a wave of relief washes over Jimin. He isn't doing too bad.

"You don't mind if I ask questions, right? And, please don't be intimidated, I'm just curious."

"I don't mind," Jimin quickly replies. He wonders what type of questions Yoongi's brother's going to ask. What if he messes up?

"Of which year are you?"

"1995."

"So two years difference? Hm, not bad." Jimin is close to biting his nails, that's how nervous he is. He has no idea why he's being asked this questions. He's never been this far in a relationship before.

"What do you do? Do you have a job?"

At the mention of his work, Jimin's face lightens. "I dance. My job is to... basically dance," he says awkwardly, a small nervous laughter leaving him. "I make up choreographers and teach them to this one idol group, sometimes. They debuted recently."

Seungki's interest is peaked. "Oh, you do? What group?"

"The really new one... their name is Behind The Scenes."

"I've seen them! You choreographed their song? Wow," he sounds honestly impressed and Jimin feels like he can let out a breath of relief. The somewhat compliment pulls a small curl of lips.

"Yeah..." is all he can muster.

"So, you dance and Yoongi creates music. He told me he isn't earning right now, though..."

"He's debuting, soon. He'll start earning after that," Jimin stated, warmly smiling.

"Right. Forgot how that worked. I don't know if he's talked about me, but I'm a lawyer."

"That's cool." That gets him a joyous look before Seungki is letting out a chuckle.

"It is. Anyways, do you two live together?"

That's a strange question, Jimin decides. Maybe because to the two, it didn't really make a difference.

"No, but..."

"But?" Seungki laughs. "But you want to? Or something else?"

Jimin laughs too, cheeks tinted pink. "I do want to. But I always come over it's like I'm living there already. But, officially, I live with two of my friends a few blocks away from Yoongi's apartment."

"I see..." There's a pause before he asks. "When did you meet Yoongi? And where?"

"Um..." he isn't sure if he should share what might be potentially embarrassing for Yoongi. But, he wants to impress his older brother to let him continue being Yoongi's boyfriend, so he goes for it.

Seeing a kumamon plushie in the room, he points at it. "You know what that is, right?"

Looking to where Jimin was pointing, Seungki nods, almost like a tired nod. "He's obsessed with that character, isn't he?" He says, almost groaning.

Giggling, Jimin decides it's safe enough to continue. "Well, it was when we were both in Japan. My first job was actually a mascot of that bear and that's how he started talking to me. We became friends through that first. Didn't think we would meet again after he left for Korea. Turns out fate loved us, ended up working in the same company."

Eyes widening a little at the story, Seungki seems a little taken aback. "So how long ago did you first meet?"

Jimin shrugs. "Around two years ago? Seems about right."

"When did you start dating?"

"That's a little more recent... five months?" Jimin asks, a little unsure. They were already close before even getting together officially.

"So," Seungki starts, and Jimin gets nervous again. He looked a little more serious. "What have you two done? I don't want to ask this question, such a cliche question, but–" he says, eyes narrowing a bit. "What are your intentions?"

The question has Jimin surprised. He wasn't expecting that.

"I– I..." he starts, eyes a little widened in panic, what does he mean by intentions? He just loves Yoongi so much, he doesn't understand how he's supposed to answer.

"What did you do, hyung?" Yoongi asks, voice sounding irritated as he walks in, hair wet. "Why does Jimin look like he's about to give a speech in front of a million people?"

Seungki looks at Yoongi with his lips pursed. "Just testing your boyfriend. Seeing if he's good enough."

Yoongi snorts, putting his towel away, "If anything, I'm not good enough for him. This man is perfection, I don't even know how he likes me back."

"That's not true!" Jimin defends, cheeks heated at the compliment. He then shies when the two look at him, eyes down on the floor, "Yoongi hyung, gosh, this is so embarrassing to say with your brother right there, but–" he looks up, looking at Yoongi with the most adoration, if that even had a limit. "You have no idea how perfect you are."

"That–" Yoongi starts, flustered beyond any point, blushing madly. "What the fuck, don't just say that out of nowhere."

Laughing at Yoongi's cute reaction, Jimin stands up to walk upto him. "Hyung, you didn't wipe the lotion on your collarbone properly," he says, grinning as he gentle rubs out the lotion on the skin.

"Oh my god, are you sure you two aren't married already?" Seungki's voice interrupts, sounding exasperated.

Jimin looks over quickly, surprised at his words. He splutters, "W-w-what?"

Laughing out loud, he smiles sincerely, getting up, on his way out. He ruffles Jimin's hair as he passes by. "You two are cute. I'm already thirty, wonder when I'm gonna find someone," he says, sighing. Just when he's at the door, his eyes meet Yoongi's. They share a moment of eye-contact before it's only Yoongi and Jimin in the room.

Suddenly gleaming, Yoongi swoops forward and captures Jimin in an ardent kiss, hands on his hips. They're both breathless when they pull back, Jimin dazed out of thought.

Jimin's arm go where they find comfort, around the waist of the man of his life before he's leaning forward, pressing his lips to Yoongi's, not having enough.

It's when pleased whimpers and moans escape them both, their door slams shut and they hear–

"Jesus fucking christ, close the door before doing these things."

Laughing amidst their kiss, the two wonder how many times they've been seen like this with open doors– countless, they conclude.

Well, neither can help that the other is so captivating.

"Thank you for helping me set the table, Jimin."

"Oh, it was nothing at all! I love helping around."

Yoongi's mother sighs and looks at her two sons. "If only those two do the same. They both hand over the work to each other back and forth, and in the end only I end up working the kitchen."

Jimin giggles at the brothers' identical scrunched up expression. "Really? Every time I'm with him, he always offers to do all the work."

"Yeah," Yoongi agrees immediately and smugly, sitting next to Jimin at the table. Then, he quietly adds, "Just want to impress you." But it's heard by both his mother and brother, who chortle at the words.

"Seungki, could you go and grab your dad? I have to quickly call someone to fix the oven, they were supposed to be here to fix it today afternoon..." she says as she's dialling a number.

Wordlessly, Seungki is walking upstairs, leaving the atmosphere thick and heavy in the dining area.

Jimin's hand naturally find's Yoongi's, giving a comforting squeeze as the other looks down sadly.

It's a few minutes before Seungki is back downstairs and sitting across from Yoongi. "He'll be here in a few."

A few seconds later, Yoongi speaks. "You talked to him, didn't you?" And, Seungki gives him a knowing grin.

"Couldn't stand his words earlier. Even if I wasn't defending particularly you, I hate what he said."

"You've always been the backtalking one," Yoongi sighs, a small smile on his lips. "Thanks."

Seungki snorts. "Didn't do it for you," he says, but it's clear he did. It was always him who had the right points to make when arguing. He is a lawyer after all.

When Yoongi's father is finally downstairs, it's perfect timing. Yoongi's mom is done with the call, and served everyone's plates.

He sits down between Yoongi's mother and Seungki; right across from Jimin. It makes the latter look down, not having the courage to lock eyes.

"Sorry for making you all wait," he starts, no hint of spite or anything negative in his voice.

Yoongi's mom looks at him worridly exchanging glances from him and Yoongi. "It's okay, honey. We all understand."

"I don't know about any of you, but I'm really hungry, so excuse me, but I'll start eating. Thank you for the food," Seungki says, not sounding like he gives any fucks. He seems satisfied of what he said to his father; and a little annoyed. Seungki must've really gotten annoyed, he's not this disrespectful, Yoongi concludes.

With that, the others also mutter a thank you before they're eating.

The first break of silence is by Yoongi, when he asks his brother to pass him a side dish. Then, the air goes silent again.

It's when Jimin reaches out for another side dish, it looks like Yoongi's dad is as well, and he immediately retracts his hands, smiling up at him to take it first. The man, for the first time since Jimin sees him, gives a smile too, holding out the bowl towards Jimin. "I'll put some on your plate."

"A-ah, thank you," Jimin says, trying to hide his surprise.

Finally, the dad starts speaking. "I didn't get your name earlier."

Quickly swallowing what's in his mouth, Jimin is quick to respond, his nervousness back. "I'm Park Jimin. It's nice to meet you, abeonim."

Then, he hears a laugh, surprisingly. "You don't have to lie, Jimin. I know our meeting was unpleasant. I apologize."

"It's alright. It's an understandable response," Jimin replies, smiling sweetly as he takes another bite of his food. "I apologize as well. I wasn't really... expected here."

Yoongi's mom interrupts. "Yoongi, why didn't you tell us to expect Jimin? You made him feel like it was his fault," she jokes, trying to lighten up the air.

Food still in his mouth, Yoongi looks at his mom, a little surprised. When his mouth is finally empty, he says, "I did say it was someone you didn't expect, okay..." his eyes meet his father's before he's looking back down at his food, avoiding any conflict with his father.

"Yoongi." Well, fuck.

"Yes?"

"Look at me when you're talking," a sigh leaves his lips before he looks up to meet his eyes with his father. He expects to see every negative emotion, but his heart is lightened a bit when he doesn't see any of that, but rather a soft expression.

"Yes?" He repeats, wanting to back out. He wants to run up to his room again, pull Jimin with him and stay locked away from the real world forever.

His father doesn't say anything, looking like he's struggling with something. It's only when Seungki nudges him, he speaks up. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry for everything."

Yoongi feels like crying again. He doesn't realize he is until Jimin's up close to him, wiping his tears away. His voice is everything broken when he speaks, chuckling as he says bitterly. "Isn't it a bit late?"

"I know. I'm sorry."

This time, Yoongi suddenly stands up, covering his eyes with his forearm. "Excuse me." And he's walking off somewhere.

Jimin is standing up, eyes widened and sad when he's about to go, but surprisingly – even to Seungki and his mother – Yoongi's dad says he'll go.

It's like a scene of a drama, father-son feud dramatically mending their relationship as the rest sit at the dinner table, waiting for the two's return.

Seungki snorts in the middle of the silence. "Finally that old man's in his right head."

"What did you say to him?" Jimin asks, honestly curious.

Grinning, he replies. "I don't remember it all, but damn, I made really good points. He's a little old fashioned and quiet. I didn't expect him to change his behavior towards it so quickly, but who can blame him? I really did make good points," he brags.

Yoongi's mom rolls her eyes. "Just tell us what you said."

"I told him about love," he started, sounding smug. "And, knowing he'd make a response of how we aren't made that way, I asked him to elaborate, waiting for the loophole to attack.

"And, just like I expected, he made the point that two men aren't supposed to be together because it loses the purpose of moving mankind forward by not being able to reproduce. And, then I made many points against it– what about me? I don't have a partner. So, does that mean everyone who dies without having a baby is a wrong in the world? Does that mean if I die now, my birth was meaningless?

"I actually saw this other point on the internet, it was pretty good. If people are so against homosexuality for not being able to have kids, then what about infertility? They shouldn't be allowed to get married, either, right? I made that point." Jimin and Yoongi's mom are just listening with slightly widened eyes; Jimin was very impressed. He had no idea Yoongi's brother would be so cool. The narration pauses briefly as he's eating, continuing right when his mouth is empty again.

"He then made a point about nature being made in such a way that opposites should attract, not two men. And, by that point I was wondering how I had such different thoughts from the man who raised me. I asked for an example and he said positive charge and negative charge attract and I actually started laughing," he laughs, remembering the words. "Then, I said, word for word, 'if we're going to compare with science, then what about elements which bond with the same type? Like sulphate, both are from Group VIA, but they still bond together–' and, oh my god, I think that point did it, because his expression was priceless.

"My last words were: Love is something abstract, abeoji, not something you can define comparing to an existing form or rule of science. Attraction is the same, anyone can find anyone attractive based on their preference and orientation. There isn't a rule set permanently in everyone's body to have a definite pull towards another person. Not every girl jumps on every guy, and vice versa even when they're heterosexual.

"Human mind and emotions aren't as easy as basic level of physics or chemistry." The look on Seungki is so smug, and the other two understand why. "And, then I left. That Yoonshit better thank me. He owes me lots."

"Don't call your brother that," his mom says, giving him a disapproving look. And, just then, Yoongi's dad is back, sitting back down where he was before, continuing to eat as if nothing happened.

"So, Jimin, I wanted to ask you many things," he says chirpily, completely ignoring Yoongi's absence.

"O-okay. I'll try my best to answer."

"No, don't. Leave that for tomorrow. He's already got an interrogation from me," Seungki interrupts, smiling at Jimin kindly. "He seems nervous, don't kill him."

"Why do you all have to ask him questions like I'm not here?" Yoongi says, entering the scene. His voice sounded hoarse and like he'd been crying the past few minutes. His eyes were a little red, but other than that, his aura was like his usual self. "You can ask me, too, you know."

A sigh of relief leaves Jimin's lips when he sees Yoongi sit next to him and curve up his lips as if to reassure him.

It seems that whatever problem that existed between Yoongi and his father, it was gone now. Whatever they'd said to each other away from the room had apparently fixed everything.

"Alright, I'll start. Do you guys need to use a c–" the glare that is sent Seungki's way by Yoongi makes him stop and laugh so hard he almost knocks his food over.

Jimin's face is completely flushes, identical to the color in Yoongi's cheeks.

Yoongi's dad clears his throat, his cheeks a bit pink too, not used to openly talking about this topic. But, he doesn't say anything, instead, he asks. "When do you two want to get married?"

Seungki scoffs, "Like they don't act like they are already."

This time, Yoongi ignores Seungki and says, glancing at Jimin lovingly. "It doesn't matter when. I just want to be with him."

Yoongi's mom lets out an 'aww' at the answer making Yoongi a little embarrassed, but he removes any sort of embarrassment instantly. He never wants to be embarrassed for having Jimin, for loving him.

"Didn't take you for a romantic, Yoongi," his dad says, laughing a little. "It's cute how soft he's got you. Anyways, do you live together?"

"I've already asked Jimin this," Seungki interrupts, "They don't."

"Do you plan to?" His father continues.

"Well, I want to," Jimin blurts out an answer, skin tinted pink as he shyly continues to pick up his food from his chopsticks. "I really want to."

"Can we all do these questions later? He still has more than half of his plate left," Yoongi says, sounding grumpy. "Eat, Jimin."

The dinner then continues with a few more questions asked. But, it's mostly them eating, finally a comfortable atmosphere in the air.

"I swear Yoongi has never helped me out in the kitchen before. You should come every time when he comes here, Jimin, your presence is magical," Yoongi's mom is saying as she's packing the leftovers in the fridge, the young couple are at the sink, Jimin washing the dishes as Yoongi is drying them.

"Stop making me seem like a slob," Yoongi whines. "It's not good for the reputation I have with him."

Jimin snorts. "What reputation?"

Yoongi's mom is laughing as she closes the fridge. "Even your boyfriend knows it. You can't hide, Yoongi-yah. I have to go and do the laundry, you two don't mind– actually, I'm not going to ask. You'll love being alone in the same room," she mischievously says, winking as she heads out.

Grumbling under his breath, Yoongi puts the plate aside after drying it, "Is every mom like this?"

Letting out a loud laugh, Jimin is grinning widely, happy at what everyone's come to. They all seem to like him and accept their relationship now.

"Your mom is lovely, Yoongi hyung," Jimin remarks as he hands a wet bowl over to Yoongi to dry.

"Aren't you two supposed to be a couple? Don't you have pet names?" Seungki suddenly asks, entering the room to drop off some unclean dishes from his room probably.

"We do," Yoongi fires. "He calls me honey, sometimes."

"And, you? What do you call him?" Seungki challenges, eyebrows raised.

Yoongi turns to Jimin and asks, "What do I call you?"

This makes Jimin laugh, almost dropping the plate. "I don't know. You called me baby once," his heart swells at the memory.

Yoongi turns back to Seungki and sticks his tongue out. "I call him baby."

"He said you called him that once. How is that a nickname? Anyways, goodnight, you two," He holds a smirk on his face as he leaves. Yoongi wonders if this is how siblings always tease when one gets into a relationship, sighing.

When the two are finished with the dishes, they decide to go back to Yoongi's room, the time already being late. Only Yoongi's mom was downstairs, for the laundry. The other two are already in their bedrooms.

"I've been dying," Yoongi says the moment the door to his room closes. Jimin raises an eyebrow at him and squeaks in surprise when his lover puts his hands on his shoulders and leans in so close he can feel Yoongi's breath on his lips, chest tightening as his heart does a leap. "–to kiss you."

And, with that, the two fall into the timeless moment of kissing, arms moving to stay comfortable around each other, distance between them lessening.

Pulling apart lie on the bed, Yoongi comfortably on top of Jimin, they fall into another segment of locking lips; their feelings getting across without using their words. They sigh when pulling apart, the rapper rests his head to the side, inhaling the scent of home.

Minutes pass with an almost silence, the only sound being the loud ticking of the clock in the room. Just when Yoongi is drowsy and ready to sleep with full comfort, his mind is a little awoken at the small and musical voice he hears speak.

"We have to brush our teeth."

Yoongi groans in complaint before putting his hand over Jimin's lips, head still buried to the man's shoulder. "Why are you so obsessed with brushing teeth?"

Giggles erupt under his hand making his heart light and giddy. "Just don't want my mouth to taste bad when we kiss."

A snort is heard from Yoongi as a response. "Bullshit, you didn't care about morning breath the other day."

"Okay fine I just like looking at us in the mirror okay?" Jimin admits quietly and Yoongi can hear the flush in his cheeks. "I like how we look together. Especially, when we brush our teeth together, we look so domestic and..."

Yoongi pulls back a little, a small smile forming on his lips as he catches Jimin's eyes with his own with a warm gaze. "And?"

Looking flustered, Jimin averts his gaze and his cheeks heat up more. "...and like a married couple? I don't know, I just really like it, okay?" He mumbles, like he was trying to hide it away but also letting him know.

The words bring the widest beam to Yoongi, his eyes disappearing into his happy expression. He lets his head fall forward on Jimin's neck as he presses a gentle kiss on the smooth skin. "Love you," he whispers, then laughs shortly before adding, "Baby."

Yoongi hears a cheerful laugh before he feels a soft press of lips against his head. "'that your nickname for me, honey?" Jimin asks, amusement in his breath of chuckles.

Grinning up at him, Yoongi's reply is: "Any other name you want to add to the list?"

With a cheeky glint in his eyes, Jimin says, "Yeah. Mine for you actually, dirty teeth. Call me clean teeth, I'm gonna brush my teeth right now."

This causes an exasperated sigh and a roll of eyes from Yoongi, clearly not actually bothered as he gleams just after, moving to stand up to finally go and brush his teeth.

"You literally ruined the moment, Jimin, what the fuck?" No actual distaste, just playfulness.

When both are up and standing, Jimin is pulling Yoongi to the bathroom by the hands, mocking a disappointed shake of head.

"What am I going to do with you?"

("Marry me."

"Thought we already established it's already happening, hyung?"

"But neither proposed."

"Does it matter?"

"I suppose not."

...

"Ow! Why did you step on my foot?"

"Stop staring at my face in the mirror and brush your teeth so we can go to sleep!"

"Okay, okay...")
