Chapter 5 Recap
"Wyatt, don't even think about it, you have half an hour so chill" I said looking at the sea, Kane was swimming, he was pretty far out, wait, he was swimming right?
"Wyatt...Kane's..." I started,
"Shit", Wyatt ripped off his t-shirt and ran into the sea.

I ran after him, now panicking,
"KANE" I screamed. Wyatt was swimming towards him, I was going to get in and swim too, but my heart was practically in my mouth. So I thought against it.
Wyatt's POV
I could hear Rics screaming Kane's name in complete distress and panic. I mean, I wasn't exactly calm myself, it was my older brother out there too! I was hoping she wasn't going to dive in and swim after me, because she wasn't in the right state of mind and I didn't want two bodies to save.
I could see Kane, he was trying really hard to stay afloat, he must have been caught out by the current and crashed into some rocks. The dick, what was he thinking?
"KANE...KANE" I shouted trying to avoid water splashing into my mouth. I reached him and held him up as best I could,
"Wyatt...where's...where's Rics?" I ignored him, knowing I had to get him to land.
"My shoulder...shit" He groaned, spitting out water from his mouth.
"KANE" Rics shrieked as we reached the sand. I led Kane down, on his back, he was breathing heavily and coughing,
"Kane" She sobbed "Kane"
"Rics, I'm going to get help okay, stay here", I dashed off as quick as I could.
Lyric's POV
"Baby please open your eyes" I cried, shutting my own, I held his hand.
"Don't cry Baby girl...don't cry..." He said softly, squeezing my hand back,
"Oh my God Kane, I thought...don't ever do that again, you hear me",
"I'm...sorry, I love you", I made him rest his head on my lap,
"I love you too...so much"
Kane's POV
I'd come back from the pub with Trent and watched a bit of wrestling on the telly, with him and Cole before Kasey came and the three of them headed out. Wyatt had obviously been dragged out by Rics. So I was home alone and I didn't really fancy going next door with the 'parents'. So I got changed and headed down to the beach. Thought I'd do some swimming, as I need to keep my sexy body in shape. Don't laugh, my body is a temple...well, a temple which likes lots of fast food! Mmmm.
Anyway. I don't know how long I was swimming for, it felt like a while. I was getting tired but said to myself, one last push then I'd head back. However, the current caught me by surprise and I was really, really pissed that it did. I grabbed onto some rocks with my right arm, the bloody sea was thrashing and bashing me around like I was a flaming rag doll. Pain seared from my shoulder and down my arm like a hot poker burning through my skin, this forced me to let go, I was doing everything I could to stay above the water, then I heard,
"KANE" It was Rics, she was screaming my name in sheer panic and worry, then I saw Wyatt, he was swimming towards me, thank the Lord.
"Kane...Kane", He shouted. I was so pleased to see my little brother swimming towards me, he reached me and held me up the best he could, I grabbed onto him, holding tight,
"Wyatt...where's Rics?" I was probably a bit delusional at this point as I'd already seen her and heard her scream, but Wyatt ignored me, obviously knowing this, "My shoulder....shit", I groaned in pain, it was burning like mad.
"KANE", Rics screamed as we reached the sand. I was led on my back breathing heavily, my whole body felt drained and my right shoulder was screaming bloody murder at me.
"Kane" Rics's sobbed "Kane" I hated when she cried,
"Rics I'm going to get help okay, stay here", Wyatt said then dashed off. Please hurry up brother. Please flaming well hurry!
"Baby please open your eyes" She cried taking my hand,
"Don't cry baby girl...don't cry" I said softly. Her eyes snapped open,
"Oh my God Kane, I thought...don't ever do that again",
"I'm...sorry, I love you", She made me rest my head on her lap
"I love you too, so much", I heard her say, then everything went black.

The next time I awoke, I blinked hard, white walls. Great I was in bloody hospital, well unless Rics had decided to redecorate our room white and I doubt that very much.
"Darling...Oh thank God your okay", my vision cleared fully and I saw my Mum and Dad sat next to me,
"What happened, where's Rics?" Ha my parents are sat next to me and I'm asking for Rics. I'm such an amazing boyfriend.
"She's gone home to take a shower and refresh herself, we all demanded she went as she hadn't left your bedside since you came in two days ago", Mum said.
"2 days", I said shocked, they nodded. Whoa, that's weird.
"When Wyatt came running in shouting call an ambulance because you were hurt, the three of us went into shock, we never thought a great strong swimmer like you would ever be caught out in the sea", Dad said. Me neither, but they do say the sea can turn in a blink of any eye. Remind me next time no blinking!!
"Where's Wyatt and Cole?"
"Wyatt's outside and Cole has gone to get everyone some food, Joel and Trent went back with Rics and Charlie is somewhere in the hospital" (Charlie is Lyric's Dad's name if you forgot)
"Can you get Wyatt please?",
"Of course honey...we'll let him explain", Mum kissed me on the forehead, I smiled at her and they both then walked out. I assessed my right shoulder and arm. My shoulder was bandaged tightly and my arm was in a sling. Urgh a sling.
"Nice to see my big brother awake", Wyatt said as he walked in,
"Thank you for saving my life", he smiled,
"No worries bro...any time".
"How's Rics?"
"Um...she's been panicking a lot, we had to send her home to refresh, though she protested",
"She's going to kill me", He laughed
"Yeah probably", I tried to sit up and Wyatt helped me. It's funny how close we've got in these past 4 years.
"So can you tell me what I've done".
Please nothing to bad !!
"You've sprained your shoulder, but if you want what the doctor said you've got a Sternoclavicular joint sprain, yours is grade one, the doctor said you were a lucky boy, you've gotta wear that sling for like a week"
"Bloody brilliant, but I suppose it could be worse, wait what about the road trip?"
"It's just going to have to be postponed for a week",
"KANE" Rics screamed.
Lyrics POV
"KANE" I screamed running over to him, Wyatt moved out of my way, I hugged him carefully and kissed him,
"Don't you ever do that to me again", I shouted, Wyatt smiled,
"I'll leave you two be" and he slipped out.
"I thought...I thought, I lost you", I said softly, I could feel the tears prickling in my eyes. Oh my God, he must have felt like this when I was lying in a coma 4 years ago.
He patted the bed and I sat next to him,
"You wont ever lose me baby girl, never", I smiled,
"I love you",
"I love you more",
"Not possible", I yawned, I was so tired, I'd barely slept as I was too busy worrying over Kane.
"Your tired, sleep baby girl", He moved over more and I lay next to him, he put his left arm around me.
"I've postponed the road trip", I said softly,
"You shouldn't have",
"Don't argue with me", I said softly. He chuckled and I drifted off to sleep.
