The darkness likes to make me angry at
things that I wouldn't have minded before;
the sheets that make me feel too hot, the
nurses that say stupid crap, the doctors
with their messed up diagnosis and
unorthodox cures.
Samantha didn't come today and even that
made me angry. I feel so irritable today and
I just want to go outside, even more than
usual today.
“That's it,” the darkness praises. “Get angry,
and soon I'll control what was taken away
from you.”
