everett shakes his head, standing up. his hands, only seconds ago so strategic with his bow, now clenched tightly at his sides. he takes a step closer so they're only a foot apart. "i really, really want to hate you."
he grabs aidan by the collar tightly, and aidan's mind flashes back to when everett did the same thing on the football field as he hovered above aidan. all aidan attempts to focus on is the the fading scar on the other boy's face.
this is where everett is going to punch him.
