I wake up with a jolt,
Sweating on my forehead,
Then I remember the minor,
The adult,
I look outside.
There's a little girl crying,
On the pavement where the orphanage is..
Kicked out

Something tells me that I should go,
Go talk to her,
Make sure she's OK,
So I head out.
Walk down the street
Take a right turn,
Quickly cross the street,
There she is.

I walk up to her small,
Figure.
Little bag, with a teddy she has.
She's wearing a tattered red hoodie
With some faded blue denim shorts,
Sneakers of hers are to small,
Her toes stick out from some of the edges.
"Hello, are you alright?"
I ask..

She looks up,
Brown hair, brown eyes.
Like me,
Like.. you
She shakes no,
Then opens her mouth as if to speak,
And she does,
"I haven't been adopted so they kicked me out since I was a bad child when I did nothing wrong!"
Her eyes showed tears,
It showed my broken heart,
Away to heal,
Help those in need
Like this girl.

I swallow, nervous,
She looks with hope in her eyes,
"Would you like to stay with me?"
